These pants! I cannot say enough about them.I printed out the pattern and whipped up a pair in less than an hour. I tried them on and didn’t want to take them off to hem them, so made another pair. And another. And another! Until I had 6. And more are on the way. These are the BEST pants ever! It’s a super quick, super simple sew. And they’re super comfortable. You will NOT be disappointed!

These are booty magic pants! Flattering style with unmatched comfort make these not just yoga pants but everyday pants. Wear these to school pick up, working out and even dress them up for date night!
Kelly Nicholas –
These pants are heavenly! From start to finish. They are such a simple sew and when I’m looking for comfort I don’t want a pattern to be difficult. I absolutely love the wide leg option, it still showed some love to my hips but is loose enough to look stylish and drape. These in a French Terry are the perfect cozy fall morning attire.
Becky Petty –
Wow, I love these yoga pants. They are instant gratification and the perfect first project for anyone new to knits. They are so beautiful and this pattern is so versatile. I can’t wait to make the slimmed cut pair. Who knows, maybe I’ll even go to a yoga class 🙂
Gabz Jefferson –
Rebecca Page’s patterns are well drafted and tested by talented seamstresses. You will surely do the happy dance once you finish your project. Sizing is accurate and they are very easy to sew. The instructions are very easy to understand.
Susan Ellerbrook –
This pattern is priceless!! They are the comfiest pants that you can stitch up in no time at all – it almost takes longer to print and prepare the pattern pieces than it does to sew! There’s no reason to buy mass produced when you’ve got a pattern as perfect as this one is.
Lacy Castleman –
Super quick and easy sew!!! Great for a beginner still learning to sew, and lovely lounge pants for yoga or just around the house!
Christine Shapiro –
The Rebecca Page Yoga Pants will be your go to pants! No need to take this only to yoga. The pattern has a choice of wide or medium width legs and a flat or ruched waistband. I’ll be wearing mine all day, everyday!

Brilliant, simple and quick sew .
Tammy Foser –
I’ve made several different Yoga pants patterns, but this is by far my favorite! It’s a quick, straightforward sew that can be made with several types of knit (DBP, cotton lycra, even modal) depending on your mood. I love the loose fit version and I can see dressing it up or down. I’ll definitely be adding many more to my wardrobe!!
Sarah Boses –
Sometimes it’s wonderful to have a quick sew – even better if it fits perfectly and is super versatile. The wide leg can be used to make dress pants and the bootcut make the perfect athleisure pants! I want a pair in every color!
Bekah Southern –
These pants are AMAZING! Love the different band options! Thank you Rebecca for teaching me how to do the ruched fold over band, I’ve always wanted these types of pants!
Cara Girven –
Quick and easy sew, but a very lovely pair of pants! The fit was excellent without needing any “fixing”, and I love the wide leg option. The two waistbands and different leg widths/lengths let you get different looks from the same pattern, which is always a plus. A beginner could easily make these pants and get great results…pattern is clear and well-written.
Katie Kennedy –
I found the Pippa Pants to be easy to put together and also easy to blend sizes. They can serve a multitude of styles depending on the fabric. I made a pair from some mystery microfiber and they are awesome lounge pants, and I made another pair in 3/4 length wide leg in a jacquard and they are great with heels!
Rene Dommer –
I love the Pippa pants! They fit wonderfully and sew up quickly. I especially love that even though they are a more relaxed fit they can still be dressed up.
Crystal Anderson –
The Pippa Pants are a great fit – with two leg widths, two band options, and a normal woman’s legs taken into consideration, they are awesome in this world of skinny pants patterns. They sew up quickly, with easy to understand instructions for beginners onwards. I really like the ruching – it was simple and works well on the sides – and is especially flattering if you lack a flat mid section. The back is flattering to my behind, and I can’t take them off! Thanks again for another stellar pattern!
Elise Vanaman –
I love how quickly these amazing pants come together! They are so comfortable and the fit is perfect!
Yulia Shikhova Korinnyi –
Awesome most comfortable pattern I have ever made. And it is so easy to sew too.
Shannon Tunks –
I have never sewn with knits before, however even for being a beginner with knits, the Pippa pants were a super easy and super quick sew! In fact I managed to get a pair cut out and sewn together completely in a little over an hour (between dinner and kids bedtime!) The instructions were brilliant to follow and very clear. I love these pants and how comfy they are and no doubt will be making more as we head in to Australia’s winter. They also pair perfectly with the Circle Cardi!
Mary Cheddie –
Super easy pattern that you will make over and over and over again! Less than an hour to cut/sew but a lifetime to wear and love! The fit is spot-on, these are super comfy, and I just love them! I love them so much that I made them as shorts. The pattern offers several lengths and regardless of which length you make, you’ll love Pippa as much as I do! Sweet! Divine! Gorgeous! Comfort PLUS!

Amy Vickers –
These yoga pants are very easy to sew, and even more comfortable to wear! The only problem that I came across was the length. I made them for my mom ( my model ) who is 5’2″ and they were about 4 inches too long, but it was an easy fix. Other than that I love the yoga pants, and will be making many more in the near future.
Lola Buns –

I love how simple it is to find your fit and then you can change up the look with an easy to follow foldover waistband that offers a simple challenge. The directions are easy to follow. So simple to whip up a pair of workout pants.

It is a very quick sew and very easy success. Highly recommended 🙂
Edyta Jakubczak –
Love the fit. Super comfy too. No issues
Amanda Jones –
incredibly cute but I will need to adjust to get the look I was after—flare out the leg, add at least a faux belt, adjust waistband so it doesn’t flip down on her. Really love the idea!!

Yin Ying –
Very straight forward construction and I love the fit so much!
Shelby Chubb –
Quite honestly one of the easiest, quickest, most pleasant sews I’ve ever done! Typically even “beginner” patterns frustrate me at some point or another, but this one was smooth sailing the whole way through, so I made two! Such a lovely staple for any wardrobe, I’m certain I’ll be making these again and again!

June Butchee –
I love the Pippa Pants! They are the perfect pants. They are so comfortable and quick to sew up. You can make a pair in every color.
Donna Jones –
Pippa pants made with 4 way stretch cotton lycra. Instructions are impeccable. Anyone could follow them. Love that its 2 pattern piece sew, and it sees up so quickly. Theres a huge scope for hacks too. I skipped the optional elastic as it appeared to just be inserted and I prefer elastic to be anchored in some way to prevent twisting. I removed 3.5″” from the bottom going from the inseam measurement of the completed sew, as my height is not distributed evenly. I could have done with taking a little extra but I was feeling short and defient. I am 5’3.5″” with the pattern drafted for 5’6″” my removal works out at 2.5″”. By using the inseam measurement of finished medium size (33″”) I needed to remove 4″” (for my 29″” inseam).
I think the pattern layout needs revising (I have posted in edits that I had to print an extra 3 pages than instructed) I think it needs to fit onto the D row if at all possible as it’s a whole lot of empty paper printing out E, plus I wouldnt have needed those once my height/inseam adjustment was made. Also if using the regular fit leg theres another few pages that could be missed out when printing up to large.
I have to say I find Rebecca Page patterns THE easiest print at home pattern out there. Having the circle ‘target’ and horizontal and vertical lines on every corner removes all guesswork. Also the print goes virtually to the edge so theres no need to add joining lines. I’d love to see an added panel to hold the belly in, for the most comfy going out pants ever!
Jane Whicheloe –
OMG I love these the pattern was so easy to follow. I used eyelets instead of button HOLES, and did the foldover waist. They are so comfy.
Amy Joy McDonnell –
Very easy and quick sew with good instruction. Enjoyed making these and my girls have asked for more. My oldest has been wearing them for 2 days and even slept in them. ;). Great pattern!!
SSeem Sing –
Love the fit of Pippa and it was super comfy. I now know what the fuss is all about! Don’t regret this a sew at all
Sandy Simpson –
Wow – what amazing pants. I made a muslin then promptly made 2 more pairs because I love the fit. I always have to go through a whole process of alterations with pants; shorten front rise, lengthen back rise, scoop crotch seam, and sway back adjustments. With the Pippa Pants, I shortened the length in the legs (short girl problems) and made them exactly to the pattern and they fit perfectly. I am in love!!!
Sharon Courtney –
The perfect easy sew to make the comfiest ‘secret pyjamas’ ever! Perfect for lounging or yoga! Clear easy to follow pattern suitable for beginners.
Shona Young –
I love these pants, they are a tad long but that’s easily adjusted. I will be making loads and loads of these.
Carmen Brent –
Comfy, cozy, and convenient. These pants look great and come together quickly. I love the wide leg option since I have “thunder thighs.” Another fantastic part of this pattern is that changing your fabric alters the final look tremendously. I made one pair dressy enough for work and other that are clearly loungewear, but both are extremely comfortable.
Katie Kennedy –
What better time than now to make stylish lounge pants?! I adore the wide leg version; swishy pants feel so great to wear. I’ve sewn many so many pairs and depending on the fabric, they really work for everything from hanging out on the couch to heading out for a fun night.
Deb Carpenter –
“The Pippa Pants have been on my radar since last year and this spring I finally got to make them! The tiled pdf was easy to tape together, the instructions were clear, and the pattern pieces came together like a dream. The resulting pants fit absolutely perfectly, the only modification I made was to shorten the leg length to fit my height. If you’re new to making trousers/pants then I would highly recommend starting with this pattern.
The pants are sooooo comfortable, they will be the perfect addition to my spring capsule wardrobe! “
Amy Joy McDOnnell –
I really love these pants. I was in between sizes (S/XS) so decided to make the smaller size. The fabric I chose wasn’t as stretchy so it was a tighter fit than I planned but still wearable and really comfy. I plan on making many more in a stretchier fabric. Instructions were very clear and simple. It was a quick sew and great for beginners!
Amy Joy McDOnnell –
These were so quick and easy to sew up. And they are soooo comfortable. The pattern and tutorial are very easy to follow.
Debbie Prince –
Loved making these pants, and with only 2 pattern pieces, was super simple to sew up. Made these on the overlocker which made it even quicker to make up. My kids want more in all different colours. x
Kendra Quincy Knauf –
These pants are a quick and easy sew! I was looking for a comfortable fit in the waist and crotch, and these did not disappoint. Most importantly, as the day went on and the fabric stretched through normal wear, I specifically noticed that the crotch did not “fall down” and the waist didn’t roll or dig into my belly. These are my new go-to pants pattern!
Shona Young –
We just love this pattern, its wonderful and so comfortable.
Claire Jones –
This was such a quick and simple sew for a lovely wide leg trouser. Amazing in 3/4 length for summer. I was able to make a straight medium with no fit adjustments. Many more pairs to follow
Roeshell Arjin McNelis –
I quite liked this pattern. It is comfortable and fairly quick/easy to accomplish. I definitely recommend it. I believe it is going to become a staple in my wardrobe.
June Butchee –
The Pippa pants are a quick, satisfying sew. You will want to make a pair in every color and every fabric. I did. You can make them dressy or make them casual. Real pants for real women.
Cassie Ledbetter –
Surprisingly easy! These pants worked up really fast and they’re so comfortable! I was slightly intimidated while planning this project, this was my first experience sewing with stretch knit fabric, but it was SO much easier than I expected. The pattern instructions are detailed and easy to understand and the pictures were extremely helpful as I’m a visual learner. I’ll definitely be making more! Love them!
Donna Lowe –
I kept seeing this pants and questioned whether it was for me. After making it I am certain it is for me. I love the fit and the style. It is a great pants and is very versatile. It has even convince my daughter to want one.
Donna Lowe –
I think this a great pants for kids. Its just wonderful and comfortable for them when at play. The fit is great and I love it .
Bernadette Aitken –
This is very easy pattern to sew. The finished pants are very comfortable and easy to wear. I made two pairs, one in double knit and one in a heavy Lycra, both with the fitted waist band and narrow legs. They both fall beautifully and sit perfectly around my waist and hips. For my Lycra pair I added 1cm to the waist on the pant pattern which raised the final waistline. This meant that they fitted a little firmer at the waist, which was perfect for yoga and exercise.
Magda Rindmo –
This is my go to pattern for comfy pants! I make all my dance pants from this pattern and I just love them. Sits good thru out the workout and still feels flowy to dance in. A superfast and easy sew! You have to try it!
Cheryl Burtenshaw –
“I made the 3XL based on the measurements. I’ve read the pattern is based on a 5’6 woman. I’m 5’8 and generally adjust for a long torso.
I made no adjustments to the pattern.
In the end I could have made between a 2XL/3XL waist graded to 3 XL in the butt, thighs. I could have shortened the torso a tad. The thing that threw me was the length. In my mind, 5’6 indicates short legs and it just didnt click that the leg length would be so long. I ended up cutting 3.5″” off to hem them. I will be making more with the proper adjustments. They are so comfortable!
Side note
I picked these pants as it has been 25 years since I sewed knits and felt this would be a good way to ease back into sewing clothing. I am so glad I did. I worked out a lot of trepidation with these.”
Katerina Bauman –
The absolute easiest pants pattern you will find. My absolute favourite pattern for lounge and PJ pants. I had pants just like this while pregnant and couldn’t figure out why they were so comfortable! Minimal seams and a perfect fit were the answer, and now I can make them whenever I like.
Shona Young –
We just love this pattern, its wonderful and so comfortable.
Angel Pooley –
Such a quick and easy sew perfect for yoga pants, and lounging around. Super comfy in the stretch crushed velvet I used. 🙂
Yulia Shikhova Korinnyi –
Such an easy and feel-good pattern. Quick pick me up among all the mask mask making. This is 4th pair I made and every time it turns out comfy and flattering. Highly recommend.
Julie Lawson –
These pants were so easy, and fit so nicely when finished. Can’t wait to make more!
Adelle –
What a brilliant pattern, incredibly comfortable, so easy and quick to make, what’s not to love. I will most definitely be making ALOT of these!
Diana Lee –
“Absolutely love these pants!
Quick and easy, with excellent tutorial.
I will definitely be making more for myself and daughters.”
Jelena –
A very easy pattern, well drafted and with only few seams,.but looks fabulous!
Nicki Hibbits –
The Pippa Pants pattern is the first clothing pattern where I’ve worked with knits. I chose the flat waistband and wide leg option, so there were only 2 pattern pieces. The simplicity of the sewing directions allowed me to focus on learning how to work with knit fabric. Without the suggestion in the directions to sew a muslin first and the provided tips for fitting, I would have been disappointed with my pants. Thank goodness, I followed the suggestion! By making a practice pair with inexpensive knit, I was able to work out the issues with fit and in the end sew a pair of Pippa Pants out of my good fabric that fits comfortably and I feel good in. This pattern definitely helped me to experiment with learning and sewing knit fabric.
Tara Erwin –
My daughter absolutely loves her new Pippa pants! I made her the 3/4 length out of a comfy knit and she immediately was like, these are my new jammies. It was such a quick and simple sew too! I really like that you can use the same pattern to make comfy, casual pants and then change up the length and fabric and make really nice, dressy pants! Versatility is a big plus when I’m getting a pattern.
Tara Erwin –
I got a mystery knit box and didn’t know what to do with one piece and then I got this pattern and it was so perfect for it! I love the wide leg option especially- makes the final sew extra comfy and perfect for those days you’re chilling around the house. It’s such a quick and easy sew too.
Rebekah Homer –
Wow! I spent more time trying to choose fabric than I did cutting and sewing it together. I’ve made four pairs so far and I love them. They’re super quick to sew and very comfortable. My sister and I love wearing them when lounging around the house, or exercising. Is definitely recommend this for any sense, beginner or advanced.
Lieve Cox –
It really was fun to sew these pants, they are so comfortable to wear! I was just a bit confused when cutting the pattern with the lines for the fit, but once I re-read the instructions it was very clear (as always, you need to read the instructions carefully and don’t go guessing ;-)). I am sure that everyone, even without experience can sew up a pair of Pippa Pants. I really love them!
Sue Glas-Parrott –
This is an amazingly easy, super satisfying, beautifully drafted pattern that looks and feels anything but basic! As soon as I made the first pair, I was so pleased I immediately made another! What a great wardrobe basic you can make casual or even dressy!
Bridget Taylor –
“I love these! I had a knit fabric that I’d planned to use for a dress.. until it arrived and I realized the stretch went the wrong way. This pattern worked perfectly with the style of fabric. I’ve also made a few in the kid sizes and they’re super easy for different knits.
I do plan to try them again in a fabric I’ll wear out of the house, but for lounge pants as well as comfy yoga and bellydancing (gotta exercise somehow in the house!) my stripey light knit works just fine.
I did the simple waistband method and it fits perfectly, they don’t slip at all. I think I spent longer *thinking* about doing these than I did in the actual making of them! If you’re just getting started in knits, definitely try this one out. It is a great beginner pattern that results in something super easy to wear. “
Gabrielle Carisse –
Really easy and fast to sew. I made a pair in less than hour from cutting the fabric to finish it all. And so comfy to wear. Can either be a pj bottom or something more work suitable depending on the choice of fabric.
Gabrielle Carisse –
I made two pairs for my twins out of the scraps of my own pant. Now we all have pants to match! Very relaxed fit that should get a lot of wear.
Nadia Cadby –
Super easy, super speedy and super comfortable – I will make lots and lots of these 🙂
Jennifer Lichak –
The best comfy pants ever!
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
This pattern is so easy and fast! It’s literally five seams and two foldings if you do the easiest version, and you can make it even if your in a bit of hurry. Just remember to use knits, not woven, as it has a tight fit.
Lauri Meinhardt –
The Pippa pants are such a quick and easy sew. I’ve made 3 pair and many more to come! Both long and mid length, regular waistline and double band all fit perfectly and are so comfortable!! Love this pattern!!
Laura Stephen –
I love the pippa pants. They are a quick and easy sew and are so comfortable, I wear them at work and and home.
Linda Riggall –
I made the full length leg with the flat waistband in medium adjusted to the xs length based on my measurements. Seriously, the longest part of the process was putting the pattern together. It literally took 15 minutes to sew and press. I made a muslin as I wanted to check out the fit and make sure the rise worked for my shape. I was a straight medium and although I felt the finished pants felt on the snug side, boy are they comfy! The fabric I used was stretchy with a lovely silky feel but a little on the sheer side so they are now in use as pj bottoms. I’m definitely going to make some more pairs. I want to try the fold over waistband. All in all a great pattern.
Jennie Means –
One of the easiest knit patterns I’ve made. Can’t wait to make more!
Cheryl Schneider –
The pattern is so very easy to understand and make. The only suggestion I would have is to emphasize that the stretch must go across the pattern so it is going across your butt due to the negative ease. Super easy to put together. The directions are excellent. These pants could easily be worn in a business/work setting if make in the proper fabrics. I wish I had had these when I worked in education. I have worn mine on my farm for a week while planting plugs, gardening, walking and more–they have stayed on very nicely and yet have been extremely comfortable to wear. The best pants pattern I’ve used in 40 years.
Nicole Cox –
Omg! The easiest thing I have ever made!!! Like seriously ever. It took me longer to get out my serger and dust it off than it did to make these pants. Great fit and super comfortable. A must make and go to pattern. If your looking for a simple yogaish pant pattern to hack and let your creativity go wild with legs…. this is for you!
Tricia Nguyen –
The Pippa Pants are very easy basic for beginners with a few options to change things up. Perfect for lounging in for a stay at home day, or use a dressier fabric for everyday use. I made my pair in a soft double brushed poly and love using them for a better then basic pj pants.
Juliana Garibaldi –
The best pants ever! So comfy!
Tracey Heron –
I made the Pippa Pants for my Mother-In-Law and her waist measured in a L and hips in XXS. I made a medium because she has a very straight figure and the medium was perfect. Pippa is a very quick and easy sew, perfect for a beginner.
Kristen Wilson –
our favourite comfy pants. We have at least 1 pair per day of the week.
Priscilla Shamulailatpam –

I can’t believe I made a pair of pants, that fit, and are good enough to wear out. Pattern was so easy to understand and simply explained that I was able to sew them up in an afternoon. I’ve never made pants before but was able to make these on a Singer Futura with no difficulty.

I made the very basic version and I kid you not it took me 10 munutes to finish it – including the cutting out part. It is the most perfect fitting pant I have ever owned.

One of my all time favorites! Such a quick and easy pattern for comfy pants!

So. The pants that The Universe didn’t want me to make!
I tried buying fabric in person, but with the weirdness in the world right now I was unable to.
So I ventured to buying fabric online, for the first time.
I was so scared I was going to buy the wrong kind… and the first time around, I did!
So then I had to order more material, and then it got lost in the post…
It finally arrived almost 6 weeks late, but wow I am SO grateful that it has finally arrived!
I whipped these up in about 1.5 hours flat – and I’m a novice sewist who has never sewn with knits, I don’t own an overlocker, and this was only the 3rd item I’ve ever sewn in my life!
But wouldn’t you know, they came to life beautifully and they are SO darn comfy!
I now need them in every colour of the rainbow, I will certainly be making these again.
Don’t be concerned if you don’t own an overlocker, you can finish these just fine with a zigzag on the seams, just remember to use a ball-point needle on your machine for knit fabrics.

Lovely pattern to sew. Simple and quick. Definitely do not use heavyweight material – doesn’t hang near as nice as a light material would. Good fit

My daughter LOVES her Pippa Pants! They were so easy and fast to sew, that they’ll be my go to pants pattern for her. I can’t wait to make a mommy and me set too!

These pants define the concept of comfort! I wore them and both my daughter and daughter in law want me to make them some. They could easily be dressed up for work pants, or worn with a tee shirt around the house. I’m definitely going to make some more of these!

I love my Pippa Pants!!! I made the size Large from a star print DBP, and they are so comfortable. My teenagers both want pairs now, and my toddler wants “twinkle twinkle pants like Mommy.” The pattern is so straightforward that I’ll teach one of my teenagers to make her own!
