This ladies pencil dress sewing pattern is the epitome of style and elegance. The Penelope is a vintage-inspired heirloom-quality sew that has been designed with the class of days gone by in mind. The bust and waist darts, and feature V-shaped back neckline create clean, fitted lines that are flattering and comfy too!
You can make this pattern up for casual office wear, or elevate it to retro magnificence with your choice of fabric and styling.

Sizes – Pattern includes ladies’ sizes XXS to 5XL. See the size chart in the gallery above.
Options – Three sleeve lengths: sleeveless, long Bishop sleeve with deep cuffs, and long dolman sleeve overlay
Ideas – Use a light and breezy fabric for a sheer overlay that offers some coverage but still shows off the beautiful shape underneath.
Fabrics – You can make the Penelope Pencil Dress from woven fabrics. It should be light- to medium-weight, and best results and fit will be achieved with fabrics such as duchess satin, crepe satin, cotton drill, cotton lawn, taffeta, velvet, wool, cotton or poly-cotton.
If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.

Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
