Description

You can call her old-timey, retro, rockabilly, heirloom, or even pinup-girl-classy… but, above all else, Betty is certainly beautiful. This vintage circle skirt sewing pattern is exactly what “vintage” means, because she is  high quality and lasting value! Plus Betty is my grandma’s name.

Most importantly, the stylishly chic, and supremely feminine, styles of days gone by are easy to recreate at home with this beautifully full and twirly circle skirt and her cinched-in waist.

You can dress Betty up or down in the charms of your favourite era. She is simply gorgeous with sandals and a vest, or full-on retro with Mary Janes, a pussy-bow top, victory rolls, and the iconic red lippy to finish off the look.

    Lovely pattern.

What a fun and versatile skirt! Pockets! Every skirt needs pockets and this pattern will teach you to do pockets with French Seams! The length of this circle skirt makes it excellent for everyday as well as dressy occasions. Being a circle skirt, it does use a lot of fabric, but when you walk in it…so worth it! Excellent staple for your files!!

  3. Jennifer Vincilione

I was intimidated at first, but after reading through the instructions and slowly going through each step I felt that it was easier than I thought. The instructions clearly taught me how to install an invisible zipper. Thanks!

The Betty skirt is a versatile vintage inspired pattern that will be a staple in my wardrobe year round. In the summer, a lightweight woven skirt with sandals will be a breezy delight, and pairing a heavier weight skirt with boots, a cardigan and a belt will make it perfect for fall and winter, or add the petticoat under a dressy fabric and be set for a night out on the town. It is a relatively fast and easy sew. I highly recommend adding it to your collection of patterns.

I love the true classic vintage feel of this skirt- perfect paired with the petticoat for ultra vintage glam! The instructions are well written and clear that putting this skirt together is a breeze and perfect for a beginner. Even the zip installation is crystal clear and gets perfect results.

Love my Betty Skirt! The varying width panels make for a super unique circle skirt and french seams are one of my favorite finishing techniques. Pockets, of course, awesome instructions for inserting the zipper, you can’t go wrong!
