Fastest sew ever!
Carol A Shaver –
“What a fast sew! And COMFY?! YESSSS!! I’ve never worn culottes so I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I cut the shorts version so as not to use too much fabric if I didn’t like what these were. I LOVE THEM!! They are sleep shorts, but I wish I’d made them full length in a calm print for everyday! Thank you!”
Sarah Miller –
This pattern is so very fast and easy! I made up a beautiful pair of culottes shorts with this pattern in less than an hour from start to finish! They came out super cute and I love them! I will be making more of these for summer! Super cute and on trend!
Charlene Lee –
Excellent pattern for beginners. I love how the pockets are attached without the extra stitching. Would love to make these in a woven fabric!
Gabz Jefferson –
This pattern is not only quick to sew but also a nice project for me to use my remnants. it is very easy to make and nice pattern for beginners. Plus, these short culottes are super cute.
June Butchee –
The Ladies Culottes are such a quick satisfying sew. They are even more fun to wear. They look like a skirt with the comfort of pants. I made mine with a rib knit and paired it with a Paris Party Top in stretch Gauze. The perfect Summer outfit.
Aimee Lim –
Super easy and fast sew! Suitable for first-timer with knit fabric. Not to mention very comfortable to wear!
Donna Jones –
These super flattering culottes whip up so quickly for instant gratification! I am NOT a quick sew-er, but I managed these in 1 hour from cutting to clothing. I did use my serger and sewing machine which does speed things up a bit. The finished item is possibly the most comfortable summerwear I now own. Its like wearing a skirt without the possibilities of wardrobe malfunctions or thigh chafe! And POCKETS. No need to say more.
Aune Wood –
An easy pants pattern that is perfect for spring and summer! Will be making more.
Amelia Keating –
What a fun pattern! So quick and simple, and I feel so fabulous in it. I don’t usually like shorter inseams, but this pattern is so fun and flirty, I think I’ll have to make one for every day of the week this summer!
Bonnie Riley –
Love this pattern – quick, easy, and absolutely adorable. I made the shorts length for my daughter and granddaughter, and they were so happy to have matching shorts. They fit both perfectly without even making a fit-muslin.
Deb Carpenter –
A really quick and satisfying make! The pattern is beautifully drafted so that the shorts skim the hips and flare nicely, giving a lovely feminine silhouette.
Katie Weatherly –
Love this pattern. The culottes will make great loungewear.
Nicki Hibbits –
With only 4 pattern pieces, these comfortable culottes were easy to put together and didn’t take long to make. They can be styled for hanging out at home or an evening out with friends with the right fabric choice.
Pam O’Flynn –
The Ladies Culottes pattern is so quick and easy! It takes longer to cut out than to sew. Multiple length options give you so many different looks. Comfy shorts, mid length for running around or full length for a wide skirt look! Love them!
Michele Axmaker Chapman –
Easy to sew and comfy to wear. Always a bonus
Kel Jel –
This was such a quick sew. I love that it has pockets. I’ve made the shorts length but can see many more in my future
Adelle Pears –
I never realised how much I loved culottes until now! They’re so lovely to wear and this is such a quick and easy sew, I can’t recommend it enough!
Sarah Hopkins –
A super quick fun pattern. I made tgeagort length and I love the fact you get the coverage of shorts but it looks like a skirt. Super comfy, I can see me making more of these!
Cheryl Schneider –
I made the shorts version out of cotton lycra as I am in FL. The directions were very clear, a very easy pattern to cut out and put together. The fit is amazing. The drape in the crotch makes the shorts look like a skirt and not shorts. Really nicely done. With the top band they even stay up perfectly. Being able to add in pockets is always an excellent feature.
Charlene Lee –
Very quick and easy sew. They look very nice on and I love the way the pockets are added. Great short or long!
Luana Furlanetto –
This is such an easy sew! Perfect for beginners. I made the short version in rayon spandex, and I love how my shorts look like a skirt and are so comfortable.
Kirsten Olson –
These are so beautiful and I’m really happy with them. It took me less than 6 hours all together to make them (I’m slower) so these def qualify as a beginner pattern. The pictures are incredibly helpful and I’m already buying more fabric to make a pair for my Mom, who thankfully doesn’t look good in green, or I’d have trouble getting them back.
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
Such an awesome pattern!! It is as easy as sewing up a pair of leggings, but it looks so much more elegant. Use a lightweight fabric, and it will be perfect for summertime heat. Perfect for church. Perfect for date night. Perfect for all the time.
Carmen Mills Brent –
Quick and beautiful summer staple, with pockets! These culottes came together very easily and look amazing. I plan to make some others. I love that the shorts length looks like a skirt, so I can be comfortable in shorts but look more formal than workout shorts.
Francisca Beitler –
This pattern is so easy and quick to sew. I love it and I’ll make more of them for the summer.
Glo Ban –
Perfect for beginners! I love shorts so I can see myself making loads of these for the summer! I may even try the culottes at some point when it gets colder again. Nice and easy with only three pattern pieces so can be made in an afternoon!
Jamie Adler –
Such a quick addition to my wardrobe and a great fitting pair of summer Culottes!

Easy sew and get wear!
Liz Faber –
These culottes are such a quick and easy sew that produces a super comfy pant! These will definitely be a staple in my wardrobe
Linda Riggall –
One of the easiest sews ever! Would give any beginner great confidence sewing knits. I made a large with a full seat adjustment and they are so unbelievably comfortable! Best fitting trousers ever. My second pair are already made !
Susan Pearson –
Great pattern – easy and fast sew. Very comfortable pants that can be dressed up or down depending on your fabric choice.
Jennifer Lichak –
This is the best beginner shorts/capris pattern for wide leg trend happening right now! Go super casual, bright, neutral, and even fancy depending on your fabric choice.
Suzi Nasoor –
Amazing pattern…the finished culottea r the most comfortable panta u can ever imagine
Amanda Cunningham –
These are so comfortable and fun to wear! They come together so quickly and I love that you can whip them up in less than an hour. Be careful with fabric choice as heavier fabric may stretch out with the amount of fabric used for these. Looking forward to making more!
Jemma Tredinnick –
This is such a great and quick pattern to sew. I made a pair of size S for my daughter in a random synthetic stretch and the shorts length. They were so quick and easy that I will make many more. The sewed up true to size and have a lovely “swish” to them.
Bonnie Riley –
Great, adorable, easy, well-fitting pattern. I love that the culottes have pockets.
Mel Cornwall –
What a beautiful flowy dress perfect for our Autumn weather here in Australia. Love that it hides all the lumps and bumps. An absolute stunner thank you RP.
Donna Jones –
I feel pretty, oh so pretty! I LOVE this dress and it brings out my inner girl! Seriously, it fits me like a glove, all the seams are French or bound so there is absolutely no raw edges (although you can use a serger) the instructions are full and the visuals are great. Sizes from xxs (31″,25″,34″) to 5xl (54″,50″,57″) this is one of my essential summer wardrobe items!
Catherine Murdock –
Very flattering dress ! Comfy and suitable for casual or formal wear , will be making more for summer
Adelle Pears –
This dress feels amazing. It’s very flattering and feels really light and floaty. The construction involves a few techniques but as always the instructions are incredibly clear and hold your hand the whole time. I can’t wait for the right weather to show this off properly!
Charlene Lee –
The dress is a pretty quick sew and the options are nice to have. It’s a bit different from other dress similar to it in that it has the neck panel added on . Dress looks nice on and is comfortable to wear.
Deb Sendelbach –
What a great summer dress with several options. I especially love the collar. Great fit also. Another winner from RP!
Connie Lusto –
So excited with how my dress turned out! There are a lot of steps to this pattern, but the instructions are very clear and the finishes are absolutely beautiful. The final dress is well worth the effort. I made the sleeveless version as my first, and I plan to tackle a long sleeve version next!
Sabrina Ropp –
This is such a beautiful, versatile pattern. It reminds me of ’70s style, but can be modernized easily. Dressed up with something like lightweight velvet, or more casual with linen or a bold floral cotton, this pattern can do it all.
Jasmine Chandler –
This is a really cute and fun pattern. I love the styling of this dress and the French seams to give it a clean finish.
Branka Čelić –
Summer Maxi is perfect summer dress, light and classy for every occasion. It suits all kind of summer…you can make it sleeveless , with short sleeves and even with long sleeves. It can be just bellow the knees or if you add frill in goes all the vay to the ankles, depending on your height.
Maja Rus –
Cozy dress with many options to choose from. I chose long with frill and sleveless. I already know that I will proudly wear this dress on my long summer vacation …
Nali –
The Maxi Summer Dress has very interesting gathered bust-panels which are attached to the front skirt. The gorgeous design gives the dress a very nice flow and flattering without being too tight. I chose the sleeveless option for the hot weather. But will be making the long sleeves too!
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
This is a really pretty pattern. It has some complicated parts and is made with woven fabric, making it quite unforgiving. I really like the end result and I enjoyed my sew but I feel that I would be more comfortable sixing up one for the next one.
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Lovely pattern for summer! I found that this dress ran a bit large on me. Even with that hiccup in will be making a second, smaller one. The shaping makes this dress exceptionally flattering.
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Fantastic design! I absolutely love this pattern, quite a few parts but when it comes together it looks epic! Highly recommend!
Glo Ban –
“What can I say about this summer maxi?!
It is a gorgeous pattern! Amazing easy to follow instructions for a dress that will be the envy of all your friends!
As always with Rebecca Page patterns there are options, and who doesn’t love some options! Varying sleeve lengths and the optional frill means this dress can be made to suit any occasion!
I can’t recommend this pattern enough! “
Jenna Page –

Luana Furlanetto –
This is a beautiful pattern! I love the detail of the buttons on the neckband. It’s not as hard to sew as it looks, and the result is beautiful!
Frieda Flavianu –
All pattern pieces came together perfectly and I got a Perfect fit for my slender young lady. Such a Beautiful design.
Nathalie Dene –
This is a great pattern for a beginner, who likes a bit of a challenge. I love this dress, and will be wearing it a lot this summer
Jasmine Chandler –
This is a really cute and fun pattern. I love the styling of this dress and the French seams to give it a clean finish.
Jenna Page –
“A fabulous fast, fun sew with amazing finished item!
I made the crop and knee length versions with round neck and short sleeve but I will definitely be trying all the other variations soon! Another amazing versatile pattern with great step by step instructions, any sewist from beginner to advance will love this sew, a staple for any wardrobe! “
Branka Čelić –
This T-shirt Dress is such a quick and funny sew with knit fabric. The pattern is so versatile that you can make from shirt to maxy dress, it can be fitted or flared, short to long sleeves, v-neck or round neckband…… whatever you like 🙂
Connie Lusto –
This dress is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for to wear to work! It is comfortable and chic, and sews up super quickly. The shape is flattering without being clingy, and with all of the length, sleeve, and neckline options, I could make something different for every day of the week!
Bernadette Aitken –
I love this pattern! It is fast and easy to make and has endless options. I see myself using this pattern often.
Mireille Ribiere –
Simple fast making dress or shirt so many choices to do
Amy Joy McDonnell –
I finally found the perfect summer dress! The Ladies T-Shirt Dress is comfortable, casual and stylish. I sewed the straight fit and it is so perfect. I can’t wait to sew the other options.
Diane Cullum –
Quick and easy for a perfect fitting tee! The neckband stuck out on my first try so I cut another out of better fabric with more stretch. It still sticks out. I will try shortening it the next time.
Laura Stephen –
A quick sew, and the first time I successfully made a V-neck shirt!
Adelle Pears –
This is a wardrobe staple! I have 5 already! There are so many options with the flared and straight fits and different lengths. I sized down for my second flared version and added pockets to my dress length versions and I love them all! Such a quick and easy sew.
Bunford Orsi –
Just OMG! Love this pattern! Fast sew wirt a lot of options! A must have in a wonens wardrobe!
Alieke Enders –
This is such a pattern that everyone should have! Both the t-shirt length and the dress have a beautiful cut and it is also a very fast sew. If you want to expand your wardrobe with some nice t-shirts, you can do that in an instant!
Grace Elliott –
This is the perfect T-shirt dress. It is nicely skimming from the waist down for ease of movement and comfort without being baggy. I imagine many of these for the summer months! It doesn’t make a bad tee shirt either.
Jasmine Chandler –
This is going to be my summer staple! I loved this pattern. Less than 2 hours from start to finish and oh sew easy! I love all the options included and the fit is absolutely perfect.
Alba –
“This pattern is great. It has so many posibilities and you can sew a hundred in an afternoon. I think it has become my favourite pattern so far. I’ll sew some for summer, some for winter and a few more just for fun 🙂
Thank you very much for this great pattern. “
Amanda Cunningham –
I LOVED this pattern! I have already made two and have a third on my sewing table. The t-shirt pattern is so simple to put together it can be done in less than an hour. The cut is very flattering (which is something for me as I don’t usually like t-shirt dresses). I like that it’s a little more fitted on the top but not as much around the tummy where ladies don’t want it to hug. It’s going to be one of my staple patterns from now on!
Pam OFlynn –
The Ladies T-shirt Dress has so many options! One pattern can make most of your wardrobe!
Michelle Mason –
This is my favourite dress right now, soooo comfortable and real easy to sew, love to wear this for everyday around the house right now and I think it would work as a nightdress too depending on fabric, I want to try it with a stretch velvet too to see how it looks all snazzy. I definitely need a few more of these
Chiara Kruse –
”
A quick and flattering project to showcase your favorite fabric or create a staple basic for your wardrobe. The t-shirt dress comes with 2 silhouettes, multiple sleeve and hem lengthes to give you a plethora of options.”
Rebekah Homer –
Finally. A year ago a made bunch of different t-shirt patterns trying to find the right one for just a basic awesome tshirt. I guess I was a year early, lol. So far I’ve only made the t-shirt length, short sleeve, v-neck in slim fit. It is perfect. Spot on. Super comfy. Super easy. I love the subtle v-neck that isn’t too deep- even though I’ll probably hack it deeper for some looks, it’s great as is for the casual look. I have plans for many more- and currently have the maxi dress on my cutting table. I find choosing which fabric I want to use takes me more time than actually sewing it up!
Luana Furlanetto –
Very easy sew, I love the versatility of this pattern, that can be dressy or casual depending on the fabric and accessories.
Sarai Orama –
Great versatile pattern! Will be making a lot of these in the future! And so cute on a growing maternity belly!
June Butchee –
The Ladies T-Shirt Dress Pattern is not just a dress pattern. There are several length options that you can make plus several sleeve options. It also gives you a choice between a flared or straight option. This pattern is quick to sew and fits nicely. It will quickly become a TNT pattern.
Harriëtte Aertse –
Dress in a day simple to make great to wear
Melissa Clementz –
This dress was a super-quick sew. So cute and easy! I will be making lots more of these!
Magda Rindmo –
A very fast and easy pattern with a very comfy result. This will be a staple for me when spring arrives!
Taiko Karen Rai –
I’ve been searching for a pattern that hides my postpartum pooch and this is it! It doesn’t just hide, it’s super flattering on my figure. Super comfortable. Love how there are no zipper or buttons, just throw it over my head in the morning with some leggings and I am ready to go (great for mom life). Even my MIL commented how slim I look in it, and a comment like that is not easy to come by from her. The pattern is easy to follow and after my first one, I was able to sew my second in 2 hours from start to finish!
Becky McGill-Wilkinson –
This pattern was so easy and quick to make! It has a trendy shape that’s so flattering on. I made mine our of a lighter weight woven but I plan to make one on a heavier fabric to wear over long sleep shirts in fall and winter… kind of a poncho/best hybrid thing. Love that this pattern can be made of woven or knit and has two options for finishing the neckline. I will be making plenty more!
Sherley-Ann Meunier –
Did the Laura in knit, binding option and tunic lenght. It is a very easy and quick sew, instructions are clear and easy to understand. Fit is great, perfect to hide a little bit my post partum belly! Tunic lenght is perfectly pairs with a legging.
Sally Jacobs –
Easy make but the French seams might be challenging to complete beginners,
Rachael Oultram –
Fabulous woven pattern, fits perfectly and so comfy without the need for zips or buttons. I love Laura!
Noémie Filion –
I really liked sewing the Laura, it’s such a quick and fun sew! This top, depending on how you wear it, can look casual or classy! You definitely need this in your wardrobe!!
Nicole Lueke –
The Laura is a wonderful pattern if you’re just learning to sew clothing or if you’re an experienced sewist. As always the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I absolutely love the professional finish of the french seams, and the high low hem adds something unique. This will be a staple in my wardrobe for a long time.
Nichole Merren –
Easy to understand and a super quick sew for even a beginner sewist! I love the neck binding option for knits! I had never sewn a garment using neck binding previous to this and found the directions simple and the finished shirt so pleasing looking!! The fit is cute and unique looking! A must make for any capsule set!
Nadia Cadby –
Easy, clear pattern; printed on A4, cut and taped. Used a chiffon type fabric and microtex needle. The French seams worked well. I made size L in the top following the pattern size and final size guide however, it is too big so any subsequent Laura’s I make will be M. Also, the mid thigh was far too short for me (I’m 5’10) and a ‘lengthen / shorten’ indicator line would have been really useful as I didn’t want to guess; I would have made the mid thigh if there had been a guide. The instructions were good, if anything they were over detailed, I followed the photos as self explanatory. Loved making it and LOVE the top.
Mira Breton –
“This dress is awesome! So simple but sophisticated. I like the sleeves length but would add a little bit more on the overall length.
Mine was in linen/cotton and the fit was amazing. I wanted to wear it to work but is a little bit too short for that. “
Krystyna Czerwiec –
Pattern has got classic line and it’s simple to sew. From rayon it is appropriate far a date! This pattern has got so many options, you can sew several garments from it for many occasions. I am delighted by it and definitely will sew more Laura.
Elisabeth Busque –
Nice top! Quick and easy sew! I did the top, I wan’t to do other lengts and try knit also. Many options!
Kayla Kissane –
Great beginner pattern that can be used with both knits and wovens! Made the top version in rayon spandex. It has the right flow, and I like the high-low aspect to it.
Jenny Neal –
This was a fairly simple pattern, as a beginner it was pretty easy to follow. I’ve never done a french seam before, the first one down the back was fine but I messed up a few times on the others including cutting a big hole while trimming seam allowances. The neckline also proved a challenge but all in all I’m very happy with ho it turned out and is probably the quickest I’ve ever sewn anything. The length at the front is a little short for my preference but I can probably adapt it easily even as a beginner
Jenna Page –
“I made the longest length of Laura and it’s gorgeous. Could be dressed up for an occasion or casual with some leggings under it, very versatile, with a lovely relaxed fit 🙂
Easy and quick sew, with stunning results. Always enjoy french seams they make the end result so neat and professional. My mum has already requested one for herself! 👍
Thank you for another great pattern!”
Heather Luben –
This was a fun, quick sew! The fabric choice can change the look of this top a lot, so it’s a nice, versatile pattern to create different looks with the same pieces! It’s a loose fit, very comfortable and flattering. I did shirt length in woven, and then a shirt length in knit, and I like both looks, though they are so different it’s hard to tell they are the same pattern!
Gabrielle Carisse –
It was so easy and fast to sew, another project I could do with my teen daughter. We both love it so much, there will definitively be more to come!
Erin McKinney –
This is such a quick and easy sew. I love that there are length options and pockets! The split in the back is a nice detail that adds variety to my wardrobe.
Debbie Prince –
The pattern is a quick and easy make. I made the tunic size as I like my tops long. Its loose fitting so can be made in any woven or knit fabric.
Cori Clemmer –
I thought the Laura sewed up very nicely. The fit was great and the instructions were easy to follow. I’d definitely make another!
Clare Bowes –
I absolutely loved this pattern! As a beginner it was doable but still a challenge it was my 4th item ever made and it has come out better than anything else I have done. I’m so proud and happy with what I’ve done. I did the longest length and I’ll wear it with leggings! Thank you!
Aleyce Babbett Odenthal –
“I love this pattern. It is quick to tape and easy to sew. The pockets are likely the hardest challenge, but other than that it is simple and quick to do. I love the fit…especially with my added belt, but hope to try again with a fabric that has a better drape to be able to use without a belt too. One thing I did note is that the “”optional”” neckline doesn’t mention you need to choose one or the other. I wound up using the french seam on the neckline too. Not sure if that was supposed to be the original and then the “”optional”” neckline and “”optional”” binding were something you could opt for. Oh and I added 3″” to the length because I am 5’10. This was perfect length. I “”could”” have added another inch without it looking strange and to avoid the slit in the back going up too high
“
Terri Pettigrew –
I loved this pattern. Its quick, simple, and very roomy. I can wear this out on a date, to work, or wear errands and feel effortlessly beautiful the whole time.
Shannan Gaughan –
I think this pattern could be great but I’m not in love with it. It’s a bit baggy and the back has some extra material that I will need to fix. I’m glad I did it in a knit fabric over a woven, with how boxy it sits, I fear the woven would have made it even more so.
Josianne Gauthier-Mireault –
This pattern is sooo amazing! I love that I can use it for both woven and knit fabric! I love how flattering it looks. Bonus it’s so quick and easy to sew! Yeahhh
June Butchee –
The Laura is a fairly quick sew with it’s built-in sleeves. Laura some unique features like the split in the back which adds to its charm. I made the mid-thigh version in a stretch crepe. You can use knit or woven. The shape is slimming and Laura is a very comfortable top whether you make it in the shirt style, tunic or dress length.
Linda Berendsen –
The Laura is the most fabulous pattern! A very quick and easy sew. Instructions are easy to follow. It is also a fun pattern to improvise with. So many options, you can’t go wrong.
Mariz Voesenek –
I love the shape, the french seams, being able not to use my serger always gives me a vintage feel. I love playing with different fabrics for this. I lengthened it for my 5.7 lenght.
Rebecca Hinds-Brofft –
Fantastic! How does it get so much shaping in three pattern pieces? I don’t know but I know I want a closet full of them!
Sarah Houston –
This pattern was so easy and quick to make. The end result is so great. The top version is very versatile and flattering.
Sarah Yuhr –
I actually love this pattern. I made it the first time and didn’t pay attention to the foldlines on the pattern but the second time – It came out perfect. The only suggestion is that the pictures and explanations for understitching to be better explained for the beginner.
Sharon Courtney –
Super quick easy sew. Clear instructions with step by step instructions to help enable a complete beginner to complete. Also a quick checklist sewing guide for confident sewistas. Nice cocoon shape which can be more or less pronounced depending on your fabric choice. Knit or woven fabric can be used.
Shelley Clark –
I like this pattern, it is a quick, straightforward sew. It did end up a bit shorter than I like.
Amy Kaczsnski –
Perfect pattern! Super easy and great results no matter what material you use!
Mireille Ribiere –
First time i sew a swimsuit and love it going to buy now more fabric and make a couple more
Loraine Wilkinson –
Great pattern the classic fit is very flattering and a comfortable swimsuit enjoyed making and will make more come on summer.
Jasmine Chandler –
Pretty awesome pattern, a little tricky to sew with the added foam but overall good
Bernadette Aitken –
This was my first time sewing a swimsuit. It extended my skills with knit fabrics. If you haven’t made swimwear before, then this pattern is worth while trying. Take your time and you will be very pleased with the results. The instructions are very easy to follow.
Taiko Karen Rai –
What a wonderful swimsuit pattern for those with non-standard cup sizes! It is so difficult to find a swim suit that isn’t incredibly expensive for my G / H Cup breast and M size off the rack body size. This pattern was so simple to follow to make a custom fit swim suit for myself.
Jasmine Chandler –
Pretty awesome pattern, a little tricky to sew with the added foam but overall good
Grace Elliott –
My Ladies’ Berry Bubble Shorts have such a fun vintage feel! I had to follow the instructions carefully since the construction is fairly involved, but the result is worth it. They’re so cute, especially since I made my mini-me a little matching pair in size 2-3 yrs. I love the mommy & me options with this pattern!
Susan Pearson –
Love the look of these shorts, and the construction is amazing. Fully lined, elasticized back waist, front yoke, pocket and leg bindings – this pattern has a bit of everything.
Jemma Tredinnick –
I really enjoyed making these shorts. They seem scary at first with all the pieces and the lining bit they go together really nicely and make lovely shorts. I did the short version with a cuff on the legs and they are really well fitting and comfortable.
Maja –
Not so simple to sew, but when finished … shorts I made are awesome <3
Kellie Jewell –
This is by far my most detailed sew to date. Each individual step was easy but there was quite a lot of steps to complete. The outcome was so worth it. This is my most neat and professional finish. I love that I was able to do the buttonholes before completing the garment it gave me so much more confidence to know that the whole project wouldn’t be ruined if I didn’t get it right. Can’t wait to make more.
Charlene Lee –
This pattern is a tailored shorts pattern and is therefore intermediate sewing skill. This is well fitted to the sizes. There are some things about this pattern that are different from ordinary patterns with yokes, and it confused me at first. I really like the look of the finished shorts. I made mine with the cuff attached, which gives them a more tailored look. I think this will be a popular pattern for intermeddiate to advanced sewers.
Adawiyah Hairuni –
Supercute pattern! It fits great on my girl. Instructions is easy to follow. The most important tips for sewing this hat is befriend with pins pins pins and more pins! I love the finishing binding. I’m proud with my sew, it looks like a store bought sun hat! This is my first time sewing a hat, hence achievement unlocked!
Adelle Pears –
I made a hat! And it really wasn’t as hard as I had always thought. This pattern gives options for lined or unlined and a narrow or wide brim, there are endless possibilities with fabric choices. The instructions as always with RP are clear with lots of pictures to help at every step. I’m really pleased I gave it a try and already have a few more planned!
Agnes Bobak –
I love this hat. I’ll make smaller hats for my children too. Perfect for summer. I won’t have to buy them anymore.
Amanda Cunningham –
This was a great sew. Some of the instructions were difficult to understand, like the binding, but an explanation of millinery techniques would help with that. Overall it wasn’t super difficult and the finished product was one we will all love.
Ann Ruysschaert –
I had a lot of trouble assembling the pattern pieces, even with the video explanation, had to print it twice and fiddle to get the pieces together, it was a fun sew, not recommended for linnen however, my first hat was a linnen but when I sewed the lines on the brim it kind of curled up and made waves, so I began anew and this time it was a winner all round, just the thing I needed for this sunny weather
Anusha Krishnamurthy –
I love this fun pattern, i made a silk one it looks so classy and a fun cotton print for a casual day.
Bernadette Aitken –
This was a fun sew. This pattern lends itself to so many pattern and colour combinations. You can make it as firm or as floppy as you like depending on your interfacing and brim width. Careful clipping and pinning of the curved seams helps with a neat final product.
Branka Čelić –
Sun Hat is a perfect beginner sewing project. Pecise description (A4 pattern). Everythig matched up perfectly. Pattern is so versatile…from smaller size to biger one, with wide or narrow brim size….Such a fun and quick sew.
Brigitte Sauvé –
This hat is absolutely gorgeous! And such and fun sew! So easy that you can sew a bunch to match several outfits! A must have for a day in the sun!
Cassie Ledbetter –
I love it! I was a little intimidated at the thought of making a big floppy sun hat at first but once I dove in, I realized it was a piece of cake. If I can do it, you can do it. 😆Thank you for another brilliant pattern!
Sarah Miller –
Love, love this pattern~!! It’s versatile, its easy, its quick and custom sun hats! Can’t wait to make more!
Marilyn Garcia –
Looks great but runs large. Made a 22 but it is big, a 21 would have been better. One Thing I would do different on the next one is cut the inner brim with a larger seam allowance, and then trim to size after doing all the stitching on the brim.
Debbie Groves –
Very quick sew and full of details to make it easy to sew. This pattern should be a best seller!! Lots of fun to make and wear!!
Abby Villarreal –
Such a cute hat! The perfect warm weather accessory!
Abby Villarreal –
Easy, good sizing for lots of different head sizes!
Donna Jones –
this is a fun make! I has lots of frustration with bias binding (discovered i was using the wrong size) but other than that it was great. The instructions are thorough, pictures easy to follow and sewing was quick and fun!
Francisca Beitler –
Easy and quick pattern. Great for left over fabric. The different parts are great for colorblocking and (not in the pattern) it can be decorated with ribbons, buttons etc.
Frieda Flavianu –
A very simple, beginners friendly quick sew Sun hat Pattern. Very addictive too. I could not help but make two in one go. The whole family is covered by one pattern.
Hayati Jamil –
I am suprised that the pattern goes pretty well and fit is excellent. Just follow the tutorial steps and you will get a nice and perfect sun hat to shade you
Grace Elliott –
I love the sun hat pattern! I made 2 in 2 hours for my twins, and they’re so excited to have a kid hat that actually fits their giant heads. Hats for everyone now!
Jamie Adler –
I love this pattern! Why buy a sun hat when you can buy fabric and make the one you really want to own!
Jasmine Chandler –
I think this is a fun and quick easy project. Some of the visuals of the instructions could be a little clearer.
Jennifer Lichak –
The sun hat is a fun challenge! There are super instructions and a lot of photos in the tutorial. With a whole heap of sizes in the pattern you can make hats for the entire family! Win!
Karla Henrichs –
This was a pretty easy sew. From printing the pattern to finishing for me was just over an hour. I made the narrow brim version. My husband thought it was awesome. I did have some problems attaching the crown and brim. Even though I cut the same size and sewed the same size seam, I still could not get them to fit properly. Brim is larger which caused it to wrinkle in a couple of spots.
Katie Weatherly –
I love these hats. I want hats in all the colors.
Connie Lusto –
This bag is one of my favorite sews ever! It’s an easy and quick project that’s perfectly finished inside and out, and even the small size is big enough for all of my little guy’s beach toys! I embroidered my initials on the outer layer before assembling, and absolutely love how it turned out.
Amanda Schildmeier –
This beach bag is perfect for hauling ALL the stuff! Our family of 6 fits everything we need into the large sized bag. It’s also very easy and quick to sew; especially if using snap-on drapery grommets for the handles!
Pam Kosirog –
The pattern was easy to follow, instructions and pictures were clear and easy to understand. I had issues finding fusible fleece locally and the right rope for the handles. The combination of the fleece and the interfacing gives the bag lots of body and helps it keep it’s shape. I did not do the optional pockets because I was so late getting the bag done I didn’t want to slow it down any more. I am not a beach person but I love bags and this one will make a cute shopping bag!
Gabrielle Carisse –
I really like how it turned out, so light, perfect over the bathing suit, but also for a light cover when switching from heat wave to air conditioning… And it was such a quick sew with my serger!
Vicky Dufour –
Such a quick and easy sew ! Well detailed instructions, very versatile in types of fabric, which can turn the Monaco from cool and beachy to trendy and chic ! Love that there’s two options for the finishing touches, binding or folding hem. Not the last Monaco I sew, that’s for sure
Tanya Sydor –
What a wonderful sew! It is perfect for beginners and you get an amazingly beautiful cover up at the end. The length of the top is perfect- I am 5’11” and didnt have to lengthen at all!
Sabrina Ropp –
The Monaco was so fast and easy, and makes a wonderful swim coverup! I can’t wait to try this pattern again to make myself a cardigan.
Melinda –
Loved this pattern! I decided to do French seams throughout and was so happy with the finish. Such an easy to follow pattern and the finished product is perfect!
Lisa Lazenby –
I used this pattern for a lightweight cardigan-type garment for summer. I love the length and dramatic sleeves and waterfall front. It’s stylish and super comfortable. I did find the project to come together quite quickly as well.
Lauri Meinhardt –
The Monaco is a quick easy sew for all sewing abilities! You can truly make this ‘your own’ by adding trim, or using just about any type of fabric. Makes a great swim cover-up, wear it with jeans, bring it to a restaurant to keep the chill off while eating, so many options, you’ll want to make many of these. Directions are easy to follow, this will become a closet staple!
Kayla Kissane –
Super easy sew and fits well
Josianne Gauthier-Mireault –

Absolutely loved this sew! It was so quick and easy and the results are beautiful. Will be making more for sure.
Cordelia Henderson –
It is so comfy and such a quick sew. I whipped one up in less than a day and it one of the staples of my closet. Love it!!
Dhee Mirabueno –
Easy, fast, and pretty!
Ilse Lemmens –
The Monaca Cover up is the ideal cover up to go to the beach or to spend your evening with friends. I loved to sew it up because you have maximum result with minimum sewing time. I used a sheer fabric to get that effect I was aiming for. Thank you!
Sseem Sing –
Lovely easy pleasant sew for anyone who wants a versatile cover-up . The Monaco will be great for poolside but also for super cold indoor malls/ offices ( in sunny Singapore!) . I love that you can dress up and down in the Monaco
Jessica Barajas –
I love this pattern and will definitely be making more. It was very easy and quick to put together, and looks great.
Kelsey Jean –
I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this pattern. It was a fast sew (I turned and coverstitched the hem) but I think it would be even more beautiful with a binding hem! I think the ease is so great that the back can be cut on the fold and the sizing is very generous- someone two sizes above me was able to wear it will no problem. This would be a perfect pattern for gifting someone whose size you didn’t exactly know. Great job!
Cara Girven –
The Monaco is such a quick and fun sew! I love that you can completely change the look and function just by choosing a different fabric. I can’t wait to make another one!
Alisha Adams –
This pattern came just in time for a weekend family vacation. I made an XL from a lightweight cotton and added two inches to the length. It took ~5 hrs over two days to finish this and I could not be more pleased. I’m already planning another one in a striped linen.
Julie McKinley –
Such a great pattern! Just a few seams, finish the edges, and you have a great wardrobe booster! Or swimsuit cover up! Or both!
Angel Pooley –
Love this super glam pattern. It’s a simple pattern which allowed me to focus on working on a harder fabric; shifty chiffon. Love it. Perfect for the beach or even a jacket to cover my arms on warmer days x
Stephanie Springer Leddy –
Love the finished product – I recently had a baby and made this for a family beach vacation to flatter my “baby curves” while lounging by the pool. It’s nice and breezy but still gives good coverage. I definitely think adding the trim is what makes this pattern so fun and flattering, and would absolutely recommend the trim option!
