The Twirltastic Tutu is the cutest ribbon tutu pattern about. With yards of tulle and super curly ribbon, it’s literally twirltastic. And the best thing is that it is a FREE sewing tutorial! You will have instructions for making it more or less full… so you can customise it however you like. Make a light ribbon tutu skirt for the dress up box, or go all out for a huge special occasion tutu dress. It’s up to you and your imagination!

Skill Level – Beginner

Sizes – Pattern includes children’s sizes newborn to 12 years. See the size chart in the gallery above.


  • Ribbon waistband or a crochet band/headband
  • More or less full

Fabrics – If you use a fabric with a print remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.

See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.

Format – This is a downloadable PDF tutorial however there are no pattern pieces. The tulle and ribbon are cut to measurements given.
