The Teatime Romper pattern teaches you how to make a super cute romper for your kid! The fit is comfortable around the chest so it’s perfect for layering in Autumn or Winter, or on it’s own in Spring or Summer. And the elasticated neckline means older children can easily dress themselves! All the seams are cleverly designed to be self-finishing. This means all the raw edges are neatly tucked away out of sight. No overlocking or serging required… and no fraying fabric for little hands to pick at! That said, if you have a serger, tips are included for when and where to use it if you wish to.

It is a well written and very concise pattern. Everything you need to make the garment is there. At the end of making it, you will have a lovely outfit that can be used in both summer and cooler months by layering and different choice of fabrics. I’m a huge fan of French seams and I love that this was frenched seamed throughout. I think it is a great technique for people who are beginning to sew to create a more professional looking garment.

Perfect for summer and spring with boho chic flair. Dress it up or down, this pattern won’t disappoint. For smaller sizes has snap options which not other designers think to consider. Not only that there are many more options and new techniques you learn throughout the pattern. This is a must have for you spring/summer collections!

The finished seams made it feel professional and good quality. I like the extra security the French seam will provide for an active toddler.

I love the nostalgia of this pattern, it reminded me of something my sister and I would have worn on summer holidays (in either matching or reverse colours!). I also love that it is a play-suitable item, kids can move comfortably and easily use the bathroom.

This is a versatile romper/playsuit. It can be short for summer of layered for more chilly climates. It is bang on trend right now.

It was easy to make and probably something that my daughter can make on her own (with my help, of course). She loves making her own clothes and would enjoy the simplicity of this.

Great all around pattern, lots of different looks for all year round from summer to winter. Nice pattern, fun to make and you will love the outcome.

The Teatime Romper is very versatile with a lot of options. You can really make it your own. I liked how the waist seam was all enclosed. I’ve made other patterns that don’t do this, and it’s a nice touch.

It’s a lovely pattern that would look adorable during warm weather but that the added elasticity of it means it’s also perfect for layering in colder weathers. There are so many options that it can easily be tailored to suit the child and is definitely suitable for the age range of 0-12. Love discovering French seams again. These are often missed out in favour of serging/overlocking on modern PDF patterns so it was fun to do them again and gave a much better finish.

There is versatility with the pattern and is perfect year round. I’m considering making one that ties at the top of the shoulders instead of using the elastic to see how it turns out.

PURCHASE IT! It’s a lovely, simple pattern with many options for customization. It will be part of my daughters personal wardrobe for years to come. I love how simple it is to put together but turns out very cute. I also love how you explained the French seam. I had my non-sewing hubby read over that & even he understood.
