“I fell in love with the Paige pattern, especially the technique used to finish the back vent and the fit.”
Casey Bray –
Perfect easy wear skirt. The elastic back is allowing me to wear mine through my pregnancy comfortably and the pockets are an absolute requirement as a toddler mum.
Beth Partain –
LOVE this skirt! So quick and easy.
Frieda Flavianu –
What a quick sew, it took me less than 3 hours from printing to hemming. The centre back seam and back darts just helped me to get a great fit. Such an amazing, satisfying and stress-free sew on a busy day.
Lauren Williams –
Love this skirt! So incredibly quick and easy. Will definitely be making a lot more.
Josianne Gauthier-Mireault –
Wow! I love that kind of pattern! It’s really refreshing! It’s quick and easy to sew! I love the darts and back vent details! That makes a unique look and it’s really flattering! Thanks for this beautiful pattern!
Shaina O’Dell –
I finally made my first Arabella and I absolutely love it! It has plenty of options and the instructions are easy to follow. It turned out great!
Frieda Flavianu –
A classic, versatile and beautiful pattern. What I expected is what I got. It all depends on the type of fabric used. My first maxi skirt I ever made and I will be making more.
Sarah Miller –
This skirt is a quick and easy sew! It is so fun and comfortable! I loved the different length choices which make it very versatile. It also has pockets, which I love in a skirt pattern!
Raven Pratt –
I’m wearing a full skirt made with the Arabella skirt from Rebecca Page Patterns. This was an easy make that took no time! I used 3 yards of fabric from Hobby Lobby. It’s 45 inch fabric so I actually had to use it against the grainline in order for my pattern pieces to fit on the fabric. The skirt is full and not fitted at all so this did not impact the fit.
Becky McGill-Wilkinson –
I have had my heart set on a floor length seersucker maxi skirt for ages (since before I could sew) and the Arabella was the perfect fabric for this! The elastic waist makes this easy to fit, even for beginners. It does take a lot of fabric, but that’s to be expected for a full maxi skirt. The gathering might be the hardest part of this skirt, but the instructions were very clear, as were the illustrations. There will be many more of these skirts in my future!
Tiffany J Allen –
I very much enjoyed making this skirt. It reminded me of all the gathered skirts I made in the past, it had a vintage classic feel to it. I’ll definitely be making more.
Karen Greenhalgh –
Wow I love this skirt!! (I made the maxi length) It’s perfect for Summer in a light drapey fabric and with the back elasticated waist it’s sooooo comfy. The posy pleated pants pattern is my favourite trouser pattern and now I have a skirt version. I’ll be making loads of these!
Susan Gough –
I found this pattern quite easy to follow and the skirt came together really quickly and easily. I will be making more with and without the different options.
Kelle Lujan –
This is a beautiful, simple sew for even a beginner. We tried out the ladies’ XXS small for my tween and it worked great once we made some adjustments for height (which was simple with finished measurements and cut lines marked right on the pattern pieces). We love the pockets for practicality. We used a lightweight gauze for a comfy summer skirt, but can see this being made in a variety of materials for every season. Can’t wait to get some more use out of this versatile pattern.
Sydney Norwood –
This is a fantastic pattern! I’m a huge fan of high-waisted skirts so this was perfect. I used bubble crepe fabric for the first time, which was a little fussy to work with, but made a very lovely, flowy, skirt. My only regret is that the flowiness of the fabric I used didn’t let the bow be as crisp as I wanted it, but that just means I’ll have to make more skirts!! One of my favorite makes so far!
Elmarie van Deventer –
This was such a straightforward skirt to make. The instructions are super clear and easy to follow and the RP team gives great advice for doing the gathers. With various lengths, optional sash and pockets, and the choice of 2 waistband, you have make so many of these skirts and have them look completely different each time! I love versatile patterns and this one is great!
Kellie Brown –
Peggy was such a quick sew while still being completely flattering and well fitted. Another great RP pattern.
Ellin –
By far my favorite pattern, it’s so quick and versatile with great options included body con or pencil with or without a walking vent. It’s the quickest sew printed cut made in 30 minutes. I already have several in my wardrobe for work and play; Peggy is definitely a staple to have in you pattern collection
Nadine Simard –
Hello, This was a really quick sew and the fit was perfect. I see a few more in the near future. Thank you
Jennifer Vincilione –
The Peggy is a easy and fast Sew! Plus you get 2 options! Nothing like a sexy body con skirt for a date night.
Emily Yearwood-Lre –
The pattern was really simple to follow and clearly explained. Love that I can print just one size. Also appreciated the fabric selection guidelines. I finished the skirt two weeks ago and have worn it three times already. I had no idea I needed pencil skirts in my life but I do!
December O’Sullivan –
This pattern is so perfect for building your professional wardrobe! It was a super quick and easy sew, and the result was beautiful! I used a ponte knit for mine and wear it to work all the time!
Tara Marshall –
I am absolutely in love with this skirt. Super easy to make and the fit is spot on!
Tania Mattes –
Honest review? I was super surprised how quickly it sewed up and how professional it looks once completed!! It has turned into a staple piece for my work attire and casual wear simply because of the variations in fit and length. Love my Peggy Pencil Skirt!
Nicole Librojo –
i love the fit of this pencil skirt! the darts at the back give it the shaping at the back. It’s also awesome that there are two fits in one pattern.
Michelle Wellstead –
Such a fabulous beginner pattern, and, being a pattern for knits it is very forgiving. There are no zips or buttons or fastenings of any type, which keeps it a very simple, and quick sew, perfect for a beginner wanting a great wearable skirt that will look good and be very forgiving if you make any mistakes. I love the fact that there are instructions for both sewing on an overlocker as well as a standard sewing machine, and having just recently purchased an overlocker and being very inexperienced on it I found those instructions extremely useful.
Marie-Ève Benoit –
Wow! That was my first time making a skirt, and it certainly won’t be the last with this pattern! I just love it! // Wow! Je cousais une jupe pour la première fois et ce ne sera certainement pas la dernière avec ce patron. Je suis en amour avec le résultat, tout simplement!
Marie Biswell –
This skirt was so easy to make and is super comfy to wear – I plan on making more as this skirt is fast becoming my go-to clothing!
Layni Van Hyning –
This was my first time ever doing a dart and it was so quick and easy I couldn’t believe it! I love how clear the instructions are and how quick this sew was! I will definitely be making more.
Josianne Gauthier-Mireault –
Woww! I love that kind of pattern! It’s really refreshing! It’s quick and easy to sew! I love the darts and back vent details! That makes a unique look and it’s really flattering! Thanks for this beautiful pattern!
Jessica Barajas –
I love this skirt! It’s the second clothing pattern I’ve made for myself ever, and I was able to just use the quick guide, and it only took about two and half hours. Seriously, the only problem I had was a fabric problem, not a pattern problem. It probably would’ve gone faster if I had picked a sturdier fabric. I highly recommend this, even if you’re not sure about skirts like me. It’s comfy, it’s simple, and made me change my mind about myself in a shorter skirt.
Heather Naretto –
I was really happy with the fit of the Peggy Pencil Skirt. The construction was simple, and I love the darts in the back. I used the pattern to make a super fun 80’s themed skirt. I went with the regular fit, and am eager to try the body con style out!
Hannah Goulter –
Easy skirt to sew, definitely a staple In the wardrobe. I especially loved the darts at the back which really helped shape (not usual in knit pattern pencil skirts). Love it!
Fiona Siequien –
This is such a quick and easy make! I could easily make one in every colour in just a day. Once the pattern is assembled it takes less than an hour to complete (I used an overlocker/serger). One piece of advice, if your fabric is very stretchy you may wish to size down.
Casey Bray –
Super cute and quick sew! Love the body con fit <3
Anien Salomons –
This is a quick sew. Finished it within a day (from printing to assembling, sewing and pressing). Good for beginner due to the clear step by step instruction. I personally love the quick cheat sheet
Adriana Benitez –
I loved making this skirt! Rebecca Page’s Peggy pencil skirt was an easy, quick sew with clear, easy to follow instructions. All skill levels, including beginner, can make this flattering pencil skirt. I have already re-added this pattern to my sewing to-do list.
