Very easy to sew pattern with different options for finishing the neckline. I made a top in cotton and a dress in a knit fabric, love how they turned out. Very good instructions.
Kyra Delaney –
I chose the shirt length option with a simple short and un-ruffled sleeves and a narrow band. I absolutely love how it turned out and I was so easy to make. I used knit fabric so I used my Serger making it quicker but there’s also instructions for woven fabric with French seams. Overall a great sew and a pattern I can see pulling out again.

There are options for a couple of different lengths and sleeve choices. Sandy Simpson –
I absolutely love my new dresses. With it’s many length, sleeve and neckline options, this pattern will carry through all seasons. And those Angel sleeves are so lovely.
Chiara Kruse –
Picking out which fabric to use is definitely the hardest part of this project, as it is designed to work with so many options. I made my top in a bamboo lycra with short flutter sleeves. Thought to keep in mind: Fabrics with a lot of drape may show a bit of your bra through the arm holes with the short flutter sleeves. This could be solved by using a firmer fabric or a longer sleeve option.
Amber Stefanick –
I really enjoyed seeing this pattern. I made the top version in knit and it’s very flowy and cute. Pairs well with jeans or shorts.
Susan Pearson –
A relatively quick sew with so many stylish options. Especially like the fact that you can change it up by using either woven or knit fabric! Generously sized, for a flowy look to go great over jeans or leggings.
Pamela Stump –
I made the top length with short sleeves in a nice, soft lightweight crinkle rayon woven, and it fairly floats when worn! So cool and comfortable on hot days, yet looks dressy enough for all but the most formal occasions. This sew would be incredibly fast following the serger instructions and using the binding neckline, but due to the fact I used fabric that would ravel if you sneezed at it, I followed the directions for french seams, binding on the armhole seam allowances, and a facing at the neckline. All raw edges are protected and the top looks so professional on the inside.
Jamie Adler –
This one is an immediate addition to my summer wardrobe! So quick to sew with a lovely design.
Melissa Clementz –
My daughter loves this flowy style, so I knew she was perfect model for this pattern. She likes how loose and comfortable it is.

Rebekah Homer –
Being early in my first pregnancy I’ve felt hesitant to sew any clothes: I just don’t know what my body is going to do over the next few months. The ruffled sleeve tunic is really perfect. I love the flexibility of using knit or woven fabric. The shirt (I chose shirt length) has a nice relaxed fit, I’m fairly confident I’ll be able to wear this shirt through the end of my pregnancy. I also really love the sleeves. They are nice and airy, not snug at all. The pattern was really easy to sew and I got it done in a day (despite having to run errands and my general pregnancy fatigue). If I hadn’t added ruffles to the sleeve it would have been even quicker, but I love the look, so well worth the extra time. I’m so glad to be able to add to my wardrobe a top that is size flexible and should look great as my body changes.
June Butchee –
The Ruffle Sleeve Tunic and Dress is a quick, enjoyable sew. I made the tunic length in a Pointelle knit and it is so comfortable. Highly recommended!
Rebecca Oburotha –
Such a lovely and easy make. With just a few pattern panels sewn together, my dress was ready. The ruffles do make the dress look amazing.
Bernadette Aitken –
This is a quick and easy dress to sew, especially when you use a knit fabric. The angel sleeves flow nicely around elbow length. I would suggest going down a size if using a knit as the fit across the bust gives a better fall to the dress.
Kathryn Johnson –
The Angel sleeve tunic was an easy sew, came together in a couple of hours. Made this beautiful green dress from a box of fabric I got at a yard sell. Probably cost 5.00 to make. Perfect for beginners. Thank you RP this is just lovely.
TaWanna Archia –
Overall, it is an easy sew with a serger but can be time consuming with the french seams.
Sally Partridge –
A great beginner sew, finished off beautifully with French seams. The softer the fabric the better. A great pattern addition to my bank of favourites.
Vera Bering –
My mom always told me to wear black, it would make me look smaller, I chose these prints for me!
