One of the most professional PDF patterns! All the seams and techniques look a bit intimidating at first but the instruction walk you through it with no headache at all. It took me way less time than I expected

I love this pattern! The ruffles are so cute! The pattern was easy to understand and the directions were clear. All the little details in this pattern make for an extremely adorable shirt! I will be definitely be making more!

The Riviera Ruffle is a great pattern that you can really customize and change the look of it. Adding the cute ruffles in the front, changing the colors of the side panels, or making it all one color. With so many possibilities, this shirt is great! Best part is that you can make mommy and me sets! I love the look and style of this shirt for my little one. Cant wait to make many more!

The Riviera Ruffle top is so flattering. It can be made with or without flutter sleeves and with or without the double ruffle. The ruffles are a lovely touch especially good for those of us who are Pear Shaped. Printing and assembling the pattern is a doddle, no trimming of pages and you can just print the size you need. The pattern is easy to follow will plenty of explanations and pictures describing each step

The Riviera Ruffle Blouse creates a great, crisp wardrobe staple which can be made using so many fabrics. It has so many personalising options and such potential for changing it up so you have a different blouse each time.
What Rebecca Page says about having easy to follow instructions is so true and every seam is either tucked in or hidden away. It produces a really nice finish. The instructions meant that I learnt lots of little tips and techniques when sewing shirt style garments like this.

I enjoyed it immensely! I am super impressed by the immaculate & precise drafting. I started off wondering how the ruffles were going to fit them being all curly and whirly. Only to be extremely stoked at the end when everything matches up to the point. Exciting! WOOHOO! and VERY reassuring that I will have a usable piece of clothing with great finishes and accurate sizing at the end of the day. MORE PLEASE!

Amazing pattern! Very easy to follow! Clear instructions and pictures! Love this pattern ❤

This was so easy with this pattern and the results where stunning ! The end product has such a nice crisp and professional look. Working with these type of fabrics makes it very versatile. I had made the shirt without the ruffles as I prefer a more sober look. It turned out amazing !

I love this shirt, it’s so verstile, you can make a quirky version like me or make a very classy version with the right fabric (thinking a black sateen would be so great). I will def. make more! This pattern has sparked my interest to make more wovens. The instructions are very extensive and clear, I felt like someone was sitting besides me while making it! And the fitting is great, the sizing chart was spot on for me.

I love this blouse! I was very scared of it, but the tutorial is excellent. Rebecca Page is great in that each step with a seam has an option for an overlocker or French seams. French seams are so lovely! Wearing this blouse makes me feel like I should be heading to a cook out with Scarlet O’Hara, so feminine and beautiful. I learned a lot while making it and am so very proud of the result! (I have only been sewing for 15 months, mostly for the children.) Planning to try with a brocade for a very formal look! Thanks RP!

The pattern is easy to follow will plenty of explanations and pictures describing each step. The top is fitted so if you want a more relaxed fit go a size up. The top can be made up in all sorts of fabric I used a rayon/chiffon my next one will be in a crisp cotton.

Shirt patterns always scare me; they look so complex! But this pattern really does takes the complexity out of making a shirt and walks you through every step leaving you with a beautifully tailored and very sophisticated looking garment guaranteed to make everyone you meet stop and comment.

This pattern produces such a classy shirt and the ruffle is a very feminine addition. This will be a summer staple for me.

A lovely sew with excellent finishing.

Once I Sat down and really studied the pattern and instructions (which you really need to do) it’s a great sew. It’s a long time since I did what I call a traditional collar on a Blouse/Shirt and I greatly enjoyed making it. I chose the Basic Blouse pattern simply for my fabric choice I wanted the design on the fabric front and central rather than the ruffle I have since found some stunning fabrics to make the Full Ruffle blouse which I shall be making.Have a go at this pattern it really is stunning.

Love the versatile style the pattern is, for a dinner, interview I can wear it everywhere.

This pattern was put together very well. I made this top with the ruffle placket and it made the top feel very flowy and feminine. As a thirteen-year-old, it made me feel very grown-up and sewing it was very fun!
Shaina O’Dell (verified owner) –
The Riviera is a lovely pattern that was very easy to follow. The placket construction is much more simple than any other I’ve used. The ruffle front and flutter sleeves are beautiful together!
Becky McGill-Wilkinson (verified owner) –
This pattern is fantastic, as usual for Rebecca Page patterns. It has great tailoring details which make it a challenging sew, but very worth it as it looks like a professionally-made garment when you’re done! I opted for the sleeveless version with the ruffle front and I used quilting cotton because I just loved the crazy pattern. The ruffles definitely stand out more than if I had used a fabric with a softer drape, but I love that you can personalize this pattern by the fabric you use. The techniques are slightly complicated (creating the ruffle, adding the collar), but the instructions and photographs make it easy to construct.

The Riviera Ruffle blouse is a great girls button up but what I love most about this pattern is the thoughtful and intentional construction. With French seams and bias bindings every edge and seam are assembled with care, resulting in a garment that will last–and if I’m going to hand make it, I surely want it to last!

This is an exquisitely tailored shirt with some more advanced techniques but the pattern instructions provide so much detail and helpful tips that I had no problem even the first round through and put together a second shirt the next afternoon! I love the movement of the tuxedo shirt ruffle down the front which is done with a circular pattern piece instead of the standard gathered ruffle. Yay for no gathering! I made a size large based on my measurements but feel I could have sized it down for a slimmer fit. The large size fits me fine but makes a looser fit shirt. The child’s version, on the other hand, fits slimmer and I would recommend sizing up.

The Riviera Ruffle blouse will be a great school blouse for my daughter’s first year of school. While it is by no means a quick sew, it’s well worth the effort! I used french seams every where and the final product is as pretty inside as it is outside. I’m planning a few more, using different options, to make a well rounded school wardrobe.

Beautiful pattern with clear instructions! I have never made a piece with completely enclosed seams but it was easy and the end product was gorgeous.
Leanne Miller (verified owner) –
I liked that there are options with the top making it very versatile for simple casual wear or more formal classic elegant attire. I can also see the Riviera with just one ruffle and also just being worn with the collar stand as if in a mandarin style collar. The options are quite endless. The instructions and pics included in the pattern l found easy to follow.

Such a sweet pattern, nice for a change from the everyday t shirts. Absolutely love how many ruffles there are with NO GATHERING!! As always, meticulous finishes that make it look professional, and easy instructions to follow.

The Riviera is a gorgeous fitted blouse with optional ruffles, flutter sleeves and side panelling cut on the bias. The Riviera was quite enjoyable to sew, but the details can take a little time and patience, so would definitely recommend for an intermediate sewer. There are so many fabulous options though, and the end result is definitely a well-fitting, gorgeous top that can be worn with anything! Highly recommend all Rebecca Page patterns, and the Riviera was no exception. Looking forward to creating many, many more of these!

Love this pattern! As someone who is semi-new working with wovens, I found the directions very clear and easy to follow. The ruffles are absolutely perfect!! Great for work, and the pattern is very versatile for thick structured fabric, or soft and flowy fabrics as well!

I love the ruffles on this cute top! So girly and right on trend. Rebecca’s method for hemming circles is excellent, and the pattern is thoughtfully and thoroughly put together. Even a novice seamstress can turn out a beautiful product with this pattern!
Linh Tong (verified owner) –
This pattern is so cute! Fancy style but not difficult to work with. The instruction is very clear, and the pattern fits well. I only tried the roll hem option of the ruffle but looking forward to use the tip Rebecca pointed out for curve hemming the ruffle in my next sew for a mommy and me set.

Amazing pattern. Very easy to follow! Clear instructions and pictures! Live this pattern ❤

Having never done a placket nor a proper collar, I was nervous about attempting this one. It was surprisingly straight forward and while I moved slowly through those steps, the directions were clear and I was able to complete the pattern on my first try. I love the finished look. My daughter loves wearing the ruffled blouse.

I love the beautiful front ruffles. Instructions are so cleared and detailled, it’s easy to follow.

Beautiful shirt. The results are stunning! Collar can be tricky but totally worth it!

I love this pattern! The ruffles are so cute! The pattern was easy to understand, and the directions were clear. I did not have any trouble adding the collar, even though I have never sewn a shirt with a collar before. All the little details in this pattern make for an extremely adorable shirt! I will be definitely be making more!

I absolutely adore this top and the versatility you have in the pattern and fabric choices to create something uniquely your own. I used cotton for both of my kids’ tops which gave the collar and ruffles more structure. The button placket gave the top some extra sophistication which can be used to dress up for a special occasion or in a more relaxed fashion.

I always have to adjust lenght on any shirt I make. This was sooooo easy with this pattern and the results where stunning ! The end product has such a nice crisp and professionnal look. Working with theese type of fabrics makes it very versatile. I had made the shirt without the ruffles as I prefer a more sober look. It turned out amazing !
