Notions - (Children's)
- ½ inch wide Elastic for Back Bodice – ½ yard will be sufficient for all sizes.
- OPTIONAL Button placket (woven or knit fabric):
- 5x ¾ inch wide buttons or snaps
- Interfacing ¼ yard will be sufficient for all sizes
- Woven OPTION – 1x Invisible zipper. For 0-24months 4 inches, for 2-12 years 6 inches. The knit version does not require a zipper.
- Knit OPTION – Sufficient ¼ inch wide elastic to go around the waist.
- Baby sizes 0 to 24 months only – 2-inch-long strip of Velcro for the top necktie (sometimes called hook and loop tape)
- OPTIONAL Ankle elastic – If you are doing the romper with the ankle elastic option, you will also need ¼ inch wide elastic. Half a yard will be sufficient.
- OPTIONAL Ribbon tie – If you would prefer, instead of making a tie for the top, you can use a ribbon the same length as the necktie in the cutting chart. You will need 2 inch wide ribbon for newborn to 24 months, 1 ½ inch wide ribbon for 2-12 years child.

Notions - (Dolls)
- ½ inch wide Elastic for Back Bodice – ¼ yard will be sufficient for all sizes.
- OPTIONAL Button placket (woven or knit fabric):
- 5x ¾ inch wide buttons or snaps
- Interfacing ¼ yard will be sufficient
- Woven OPTION – 1x 2 inches Invisible zipper.
- NOTE: If you have already sewed the ladies or child’s version, you will have sewn an invisible zip option for the woven romper. This technique does work for the dolls version. You will need the smallest length invisible zipper you can find (approximately 2 inches in length, or a longer zipper trimmed to size). It’s rewarding to have a tiny working zipper in a dolls garment, but it’s extremely fiddly! The technique is included in the tutorial so you can decide for yourself, however following the elastic waist option (no zip) will work in both woven & knit fabrics for the doll and is much easier.
- Knit OPTION – ¼ inch wide elastic to go around the waist. 10.5 inches is needed.
You will need 2 inch wide ribbon for dolls.

The Cerena Romper and top is a versatile pattern that is on trend! Not many patterns can be made with knits or woven fabric and turn out well in both. It can be a flowy top or a date night romper. Thorough instructions with clear photos and a quick guide for advanced sewists make this pattern great for all levels of experience. Thanks for a great pattern!
Debra (verified owner) –
I love how this can be made as either a romper or just a super cute halter top! The top was a quick sew and as always a very professional looking end product. I completed it in one day.
Simone Major (verified owner) –
Yet another fabulous pattern by Rebecca Page! Really fast and easy to make with unique details you won’t find on other patterns!

I love the playful summer look on this romper. I went for a bohemian look with lots of color. I used a knit I had bought with a romper in mind, so it was meant to be. I will make a top too for sure, cause I loved how the top looked before attaching it to the romper too! You’ll enjoy this pattern for a long time!
Jessica Mullens (verified owner) –
I Love the versatility of this pattern and the option to do knit and woven fabrics plus a top or romper choice. Directions are clear and easy to follow for the knit option. I love the layer printing option and having the serger or regular machine sewing option. Pocket options are always a plus! Looking forward to utilizing this pattern over and over.

Homerun! This top was such a fast, fun, easy sew. The results were classic, effortless style. There will be many more to come for my little and me. Bravo!
Kate Golden (verified owner) –
As with all of Rebecca’s patterns, this one is thorough and has a fantastic attention to detail which leads to a professionally finished garment. There are several options (top, romper, and leg lengths) which can be combined to create a variety of looks.

“1.) I sewed an invisible zipper and didn’t break anything or cry!
2.) I turned a necktie without needing wine!
In short, this is another amazing pattern that teaches you difficult skills but doesn’t overwhelm you with instructions. The YouTube video on how to install an invisible zipper is so helpful!
Honestly, I was done and didn’t realize I was. I hope people don’t shy away from sewing the woven because the instructions are extremely well-written and helped me get over my zipper anxiety.”

This was a easy and quick sew to make up. I opted to do a Cerena top and I had it put together in less than an hour. The clear and concise instructions make it smooth sailing as does the addition of imagery. This pattern is just perfect for beginners and for the experienced seamstress alike. Another brilliant pattern by Rebecca Page. Cant wait to make up many more for the summer.
Aaronica Cole (verified owner) –
I LOVE this romper! I’m not going to lie, I was a little intimidated because the romper is just so cute but it was a pretty easy sew! My littles look great in it and I can’t wait to make a matching top and romper for myself!
Crystal (verified owner) –
I am actually surprised when i sewed this pattern.. It is easy to make and so stylish.. The pattern pieces are well-drafted. Very easy to understand instructions. Must have pattern for fall/spring.
Dani Arthur (verified owner) –
This pattern is such a beautiful sew. It can be sewn to be dressy for a night out or super casual for a day at the beach. There are so many options including woven and knit fabric options and wonderful instructions for hidden seams for a perfect finish. I really enjoyed trying different options for a Mummy, daughter and dolly matching set and we can’t wait to wear them all spring and summer here in Australia! Thank you for another beautifully made pattern.
Justine Stroeh (verified owner) –
Loved it!! I love a flowy top and this is perfect. I used a soft rayon for a really soft drape and some cute lace I had in my stash. Simple instructions make for a quick sew and ready to wear. Highly recommended
Jen Kolar (verified owner) –
This was a super fast project with wonderful results. The top is so very fast to see up you will want to make one in every color. The romper is adorable and so comfortable to wear.
Lacy Castleman (verified owner) –
Love the options available with this romper! Even better, it works with both woven and knits. Very comfy and cute – easy to dress up or down, and clear instructions!
Kelly Nicholas (verified owner) –
I chose to make the all knit version of the pants jumpsuit using a cotton spandex. I was amazed at how quickly it came together. The final fit is an elegant, yet comfortable, ensemble that can easily transition from day to night. I am 5’3″ and did need to adjust for my height, I removed 1 1/2″ from the pattern and could have probably adjusted by another 1/2″. I would recommend this pattern as an easy sew for somebody looking for an eye catching addition to their wardrobe. I am excited about pairing it with cardigans as we move into fall!
Haley Bolton (verified owner) –
The Cerena romper is a pretty quick sew with a comfy fit! I love that it can be done as separates and use a variety of fabric types!
Kyrsten Sanders (verified owner) –
I made the knit, knee length, plain back version of the Cerena romper. It’s a very flattering pattern. I love the fact that the bottoms come with multiple lengths. There are so many options for this pattern. There is something for everyone.
Jennifer Anne Reeves (verified owner) –
This pattern is achievable for beginners due to the amazing instructions, but it’s a bit complicated. It’s great and you can learn a lot by sewing it. This makes an amazingly comfortable romper that’s super cute!
Sarah Boses (verified owner) –
Talk about a quick and cute sew! Great for knits and woven alike, this is a great summer top for day time or date night. Make the entire Cerena romper for another great look!
Leanne Miller (verified owner) –
This is a simple style that would suit most younger people.
Amy Reinagel (verified owner) –
The Cerena is such a lovely pattern, with an array of options to get a different look every time. I sewed up the top version, and it was such a quick sew! Can’t wait to sew up the romper next 😀
Emma Zobel (verified owner) –
The Cerena is a stunning romper, with lots of options. Make a top, or attach pants in three different lengths. You can choose to add pockets, or leave them out. Almost any lightweight fabric will work well here, and depending on fabric choice you can make anything from a summery beach romper to a red carpet outfit!
Pam Mauldin (verified owner) –
This is such a quick and easy top! Super cute, and uses very little fabric! Love it!
Joanna Wilks (verified owner) –
First time making a halter neck top, this style does not dissapoint. the back elastic is a great addition to make this top super comfortable. great instructions and a lovely straight forward sew
Lisa Lazenby (verified owner) –
My daughter and I are very pleased with this pattern — she with the style and comfort and myself with the ease of sewing. I made her the top in one quick evening. The instructions were easy to follow and the result is so pretty. Thanks for another great pattern!

Jennifer Foote (verified owner) –
Fantastic fast sew in Knit fabric, perfect for summer rompers for my toddler!
Renee Hildreth (verified owner) –
I love this romper. It was not a beginner pattern but definitely not too difficult either. I like the bottom darts and shape. I cant not wait to make the pants!
Lisa (verified owner) –
I made the top option for my daughter and was impressed at how quickly I was able to complete it. She loves the shirt and has gotten a lot of compliments already! The instructions are very well laid out and easy to follow. Thank you!
Jen Vincilione (verified owner) –
The Cerena Romper knit version was faster to sew up than I originally thought! Like always Rebecca Page patterns has laid out the instructions so it was easy to follow. I enjoyed the beautiful Romper I was able to make for my little.
Casey-Marie Bray (verified owner) –
This is such a fun pattern! Perfect summer outfit with the option to show a little skin.
Bracken Thompson (verified owner) –
I made the top as an after thought after making the romper. The top is really nice. Its an easy make and very versatile. I would recommend if you want a halter top for summer. It would also work with an elastic waist like the romper.
Melinda Cornwall (verified owner) –
Loved that this beautiful romper could be made in either woven or knit fabric. Because the knit option didn’t require a zip, and I chose the basic back, it was such an easy and quick sew. Such a comfortable outfit to wear to a Sunday picnic!
Branka Čelić (verified owner) –
I made M size in woven fabric and it fits perfect around my waist, and I am in the middle of the measurement. Since I have veeeeery long legs, I added 15cm to the length of the romper, and it was a good decision. Pattern is very well fit, and explained to the every detail (and I am not an english native speaker)
Jose Vernooy Winkel (verified owner) –
“This is a easy sew! I did make it more complicated by adding a top layer of lace. Working with the lace edging as hem was easy enough, needed fold over elastic to match up the raw edges of upper and under top.
Used cotton sateen as under fabric which is a little thick as under layer, so I ended up with a little bit of puff in the waist. Also I would recommend to lengthen the legs a little more to have a long legged version. But hey, I’m gonna find my glass of bubbly to match this glamorous look, you’ll have lots of fun with this pattern promise! Oww and don’t forget it’s got POCKETS ?”
Lisa Giorcelli (verified owner) –
This is such a fabulous pattern. It is so easy to sew that my 7yr old who has never sewn before was able to make it by herself in knit and create a stunning outfit!
Jill Cook (verified owner) –
Simple pattern to make up but I love the the versions you can make depending on your ability. Looks very pretty on and my granddaughter thought she looked grown up but right for the age group
Donna Lowe (verified owner) –
I love the Cerena romper. I made one for myself last year and was so happy to make one for my daughter. The knit version is perfect for kids. My daugther is asking for more. These are perfect for the summer and to play in.
Bunford Orsi (verified owner) –
I made my Cerena Romper in light weight woven, added pockets to it! The pattern is easy to follow, with clear informations. The only part where lost time (and patience) was the invisible zipper. Never used one before. Pretty sure the next time will be easier.
Love this romper! Very comfortable! Perfect for the summer !
Kelle Lujan (verified owner) –
This is a great versatile one-piece option. Cerena can be made with knit or woven fabric meaning the possibilities are endless. The sewing is super simple and quick though fitting took a bit of time. Plus, pockets! My daughter loves her new knee length romper (pants version is next on the sewing list!).
Shannon (verified owner) –
Your child needs this summer romper!!! It’s not a very difficult sew, I only started sewing a few months ago and I was able to do the woven romper which includes a zipper, buttons, and a “placket”. This romper is perfect for summer time, light and breathable. And it’s absolutely adorable.
Shannon Ireland (verified owner) –
I absolutely LOVE this romper! I’ve never made a romper before let alone wear one, but I wanted to give this a go and I’m so glad I did! I love that there are so many different pant length options, it can be a romper or just a top, AND it can be woven or knit! I’m definitely going to make more of these, it’s perfect for summer.
Liz Faber (verified owner) –
I made the cerena jumpsuit for my daughter. She loves it! It’s super comfy and perfect for climbing on monkey bars or jumping on the trampoline. The sew was also easy and the instructions were easy to follow.
Jelena (verified owner) –
Cute pattern, well written. Top is a bit long, but pants are spot on. I did a woven version with placket and found attaching top to bottom a bit challenging with existing instructions. Otherwise, a fun sew.
Linda Riggall (verified owner) –
A big learner curve for me but well worth it. My husband asked me if I’d bought it and said it looked very professional. I love the fact you can make it fit perfectly. I’ve wanted one for ages but as I have a long torso and shorter legs it was impossible to buy off the shelf. I wanted to get the sizing right so I made a toile first. The pattern takes a bit of time to put together but the steps are all explained really well.
I made mine in knit fabric, a lovely drapey jersey for the top and a heavier weight jersey for the bottoms. I challenged myself and made the button up back and it looks beautiful. I will definitely be making another. “
Amanda Cunningham (verified owner) –
I loved this pattern. Although halters aren’t usually my thing, this was fun to make and made me feel beautiful to wear. The instructions were easy to follow. Fabric choice definitely plays a part as I tried the top out of a lined eyelet and it was too thick and bulky. This DPB was amazing and perfect for this outfit.
Amanda Cunningham (verified owner) –
My daughter loves this whole outfit! She feels like a princess when she wears it. I’m excited to try just some tops for her to wear over t-shirts this summer for that added oomph to her outfit. This was really easy to put together and took me about an hour to make once the pattern was together.
Jennifer Means (verified owner) –
Just my style but I’m really struggling with the back elastic. I can’t get it tight enough. This top is just my style though so I can’t wait to figure it out!!
Frances Lancaster (verified owner) –
The Cerena Romper from knit with the plain back option is a fast sew! Several options of fabric and features make this a very versatile pattern.
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann (verified owner) –
I enjoyed this sew. The instructions are really great and I LOVE my new romper. Perfect for summer.
Nicole Cox (verified owner) –
I really love this pattern. It has so many options to choose from. You can go easy peasy casual stretch knit or go for the woven fabric option which gives you a more coastal dressy feel. I highly recommend this pattern. So far I’ve made the shorts version in Knit and a pants version in woven. Love them both!
Charlene Lee (verified owner) –
i really liked making this pattern , my fabric was a woven silky print and my model looks so nice in this outfit. There needs to be a statement in the instructions that states that the placket back has to be used with the zippered pants. I switched the back to the straight closed back and encountered problems with getting it on. However I corrected it by taking out the darts in the back and putting in elastic in the top bottom back. The instructions as always are very clear except on the point mentioned.Love making your patterns !

Super duper easy and quick sew!
