These are my new favorite pants! I sewed them up in a day with the easy to follow instructions they came together like a dream! I wear them every, they are so comfortable. Love love love these pants!!
Fiona Siequien –
These pants are an excellent first trouser pattern, as the fit is very forgiving and the instructions are nice and clear!
The front pleats are are lovely detail and if you wanted to reduce the fullness of the trousers you could reduce the pleat by a small amount. There are also pockets which is always a plus in my book!
I sewed my first pair in a pinstripe polyester, which gave them more volume but they have have sewed up nicely.
Sharon Courtney –
Lovely thorough instructions with very clear step by step pictures to help and guide you through the pattern. I followed the pattern for my measured size without any adjustments and chose a slippy crepe viscose fabric to work with which resulted in a lovely fluid pair of trousers at the finish. There are clear instructions how to adjust the pattern to get the perfect fit. Ideal make for a beginner.

I love box pleats and these pants don’t disappoint! They come together easily and the elastic back waist makes them comfortable, too.

The Posy Pleated Pants are quickly becoming a favorite sew! These pants are a snap to sew up, especially with the clear and concise tutorial included. They look clean and polished, even for little girls, and can be dressed up or down depending on the day! I have made both adult and children’s and they look amazing on every body. I can’t wait to sew up more of these amazing Posy Pleated Pants!

This is by far my favorite trouser pattern for Summer. I’ve already made 2 pairs and there will be more. The pattern is very simple to follow, has great photos and instructions and with the elasticated back it’s so easy to get the fit just right.
Becky McGill-Wilkinson –
This pattern was an easy sew, but the results are so dramatic and beautiful! The elastic waistband in the back makes it easier to fit than most woven pants, so it’s a great first woven-pant pattern. The pleats and darts are probably the hardest part, but the instructions are so clear and detailed with great photographs, so don’t be intimidated! I made my pants in a rayon crepe and they fit beautifully without any pattern alterations. They’re also super comfortable, and flattering to wear.

These pants are boho-chic heaven. I’ve worn them to work once and received the most compliments of anything I’ve ever made. Absolute love!
Susan Gough –
I found the instructions easy to follow (except where there were photos from a different pattern, even though it was explained, at first glance this caused some confusion). It was a straight forward pattern that I was able to make in a day. Very pleased with the results. On a side note I am 164cm tall (about 5 feet five)and I had to take about 14cm (almost 5 inches) off the length when hemming.
Ruch Cruz Dayo –
I love the overall design but we should be very careful on the type of fabric we used so that we can preserve the drape and movement flow of the pants that you really can feel whenever we move and be giddy. Pattern is absolutely perfect on the crotch area as it is not too tight or to loose for the exact measuremnt i have within the size chart, except for the band which at first got me thinking twice if that is the correct name for each piece but got trough with it very quickly. I decided not to post/inform the group about the band since i remember someone bringing it up to clarify (about the band) the same minute that i was about to ?

“I really love the look of these pants and the pattern was very easy to follow and put together.
A few things to be on the look out for:
The front waistband has an angled edge. Use this angle to attach the sash if you do that option. Otherwise the angle doesn’t do anything for the waistband, in my opinion. It did confuse me at first.
Make sure to measure your crotch length and make any adjustments as needed. If you have any kind of belly or big booty your pants won’t fit correctly.
Use a lightweight and flowy fabric and make these in every length! Long, 3/4 and you can even make them into shorts!
Be creative and have fun!”

Due to the need to adjust this well to fit your body shape, I would say this is an intermediate or even advanced pattern. It requires a lot of knowledge of how to adjust pants to get the perfect fit. However, the actual pattern is very well explained and a confident beginner could sew it. I feel this pattern works best in the drapiest fabric that you can pleat, something light and floaty otherwise it can look a bit too boxy.
Amanda Pickrell –
I LOVE these pants! The pattern is super easy to follow, takes only a few hours, and all the extra details included in the step by step instructions give them a beautiful professional looking finish! There will be more Posy Pants in my future!
Siska Taslim –
Most comfy pants ever!

So full transparency, I have always thought that I could not pull off wide leg pants because I’m short. But then I saw these pants and knew that I could not pass up on making these. My only challenge – how do I make myself look taller? Well, that’s what I love about sewing. You can be an illusionist.
I referenced my high school Fashion Merchandising class where my teacher taught me all about stripes. Vertical stripes will make you look taller and horizontal stripes can make you like wider. So, I grabbed some striped fabric from Walmart (about 3 yards), and got to work.
I matched my stripes by making sure that I paid attention to the pattern. In my picture below I illustrate how I traced the stripes on the pattern so that they will match on all 4 panels. One thing I would like to add, I started my front panel with black stripes and started my back panel with white stripes. Again, this was intentional so that my stripes can be consistent in the pattern.
The pattern directions were very easy to follow, thorough and clear. The PDF print out was super easy as well and took no time to put together.
I had so much fun making these pants which I think is evident in how much fun I had in these pictures. I omitted the sash and the pockets because I was so focused on the stripes. I’ll definitely be making these again with a sash and pockets and most likely in a solid color.

These pants are Beautiful, Classy and comfortable. The instructions are easy to follow and understandable. However, the illustration diagram in step 2.2 and 2.3 are confusing. They don’t show what the wording says. if possible to replace those. Overall, I love this pattern and I will definitely recommend it.
Rachel Ellis –
“A lovely easy to follow pattern. I read through the instruction in my usual style over a cuppa and biscuits, which was very straight forward with great pictures to help you visualise the steps as you go.
In the pdf these patterns are layered which means you can just print the size you want so no mistakes cutting the wrong size because of multiple lines. The process of choosing your layer through adobe is also explained.
Once the pattern was prepared it took no time to cut and head for the machine.
I chose the french seam option as I love the look of it and honestly forgot how satisfyingly simple they were. Before I knew it the pants were constructed fully pockets and all. The longest part of the whole process was waiting for my best friend to come try them on so I could make sure the length was correct, but I filled my time making another pair for my friends little one.
These were a pleasure to sew and I can see many more rolling out of my sewing room and also the 3/4 length for summer. “
Mélanie Couture –
I love the fit of the pants. The pattern was easy to follow. I only have a bit of a challenge for the elastic but I’ll work on that 🙂 Love my first experience! Sorry for the bad picture I’m gonna do better this month with two projects!
Kamilla Székely –
Such a chic and unique design. The instructions are clear and well-written. It’s a fast and easy sew, too.
Angie Kyp –
They are on trend but have the benefit of being a quick sew with a high comfort factor as there are no closures, the back has an elastic waistband. They feel really feminine for me and classy.
Ana Inês Barros –
These pants are amazing, easy and quick to sew and a fashion walk result <3
Tasha Larson –
Great pants!! Very quick to sew with clear instructions and very comfortable.
Siska –
A pretty and really comfy pair of pants! I paired it with a tank in matching fabric and made a faux romper and it was perfect!
Katie Norgren –
I was a little intimidated to start but so glad I did!! Once I began everything was explained so throughly they came together very fast, and are adorable and so comfortable!
Franchesca Delgado Garced –
The pattern’s instructions were very easy to follow. The construction is very professional as all the seams are enclosed using a french seam. The fit in my case was perfect and according to chart; I only had to adjust the length because I am very petite. I love how versatile and chic these pants are. I feel like I can wear them to work or depending on the fabric (and since I live in island) for a day or night out. I think my only input is to probably include a shorts length. Otherwise, I am in love with these pants and will be making many more. Thank you so much for the opportunity ?
Tania Mattes –
Such an easy pattern and set of instructions to follow, creating a beautifully drafted stylish pant that is sure to turn heads no matter the age! They are great for both a simply fabric to create more of a neutral look, or change it up with some wild prints to have some fun!
Melissa Clementz –
Beautiful, yet comfortable pant. Easy to follow directions. I can’t wait to make a pair in my size!
Kate Thomson –
I loved this pattern, it was a quick sew with great instructions. I was a bit concerned that the style did not suit my more mature age but the 3/4 length I think will be great for work during warm summer days.
Hayley Pierce –
“Oh my goodness, y’all. These are so flippin’ adorable. I cut the pattern pieces after dinner one night, and then stitched them up the next day.
The pattern was super straightforward and perfect for a beginner to intermediate sewist. I found it to be very easy to follow, and I was almost able to get it stitched up during nap time (but then the munchkin woke up and proceeded to sit on my feet and yell until I was done).
I messed up the waistband a few times, which was totally my fault. My first mistake was sewing the optional sash on the wrong way. I ended up removing it altogether. I also stitched the waistband on wrong and just kind of went with it. Again, my fault. I was trying to rush to finish it before my toddler completely lost her mind.
I did have to hem the bottoms quite a bit for my tiny girl. I used the 12/18 month pattern, but didn’t measure beforehand. Emerson is on the 12 month end of her size, so I just tried them on her and hemmed as needed. “
Debra Rigsby –
This is such an adorable pair of pants. I made them for a shower gift and I can’t wait to see the mom-to-be’s reaction when she sees these.
Beth Barton –
What a fun pattern to get started with making pants! Great for learning the basics of pleating as well. Works best in a drapey woven with a bold pattern, like a rayon challis.
Ng Puay Choo –
The construction of the posy pants is quite similar to arabella skirt, so it is a quick and easy sew. Love how good it looks and comfortable to wear.
Kelly Davis –
It is a beautiful pattern and I love how they turned out! I did have trouble understanding some of the directions and the pictures were not much help since the fabric choice made it hard to see what they were talking about.
Jessica Barajas –
I like how these pants turned out. They are very cute and now my doll looks like a boss babe! I was a little intimidated at first, but I learned a couple new techniques during the process and I turned it out in an afternoon. I’m hoping to make some adult ones in the future because of how easy these ended up being!

“I adore these pants, sewn up for a very special three month-old granddaughter. I used a double gauze spring print (recycled from a swaddling blanket) that sewed up easily. There were some pattern details that might’ve elevated this to an intermediate level of difficulty (added sash, french seams, box pleats, darts), but the instructions did a good job of simplifying these nice little details.
All in all, a lovely pattern, which my husband has already said I need to sew up for my other granddaughters. “
Naomi –
These were a little bit difficult as a novice sewer, but I got there and the result is absolutely amazing! The fit is great, and according to my daughter they are SUPER comfy! Love it!
Heidi Gerhardt-Bourke Gray –
Such a beautiful fun pair of pants with such an easy pattern! Instructions were clear and easy to follow and the end result was LOVE!
