Gallery – See images from Instagram below. Or view our full tester gallery on our Facebook Page here: Pencil Case

Skill Level – Beginner

Fabrics – Suitable for woven fabrics only. You can use either quilting cotton, canvas, or home décor fabric for this project.  I recommend adding lightweight interfacing to your fabric if using quilting cotton.  For the closure, you can use either a button or a snap.

If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.

See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.

Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.

This is such a simple and practical project that is quick and easy to sew. The instructions are clear with helpful pictures. With slots for pencils/pens, a zipped pocket and an open pocket for slipping a notepad/paper into. The final touch is the tab closure to keep everything safe and secure. This is more than just a pencil case, it could also be used for small sewing projects whilst travelling.

I love this versatile pencil case. It isn’t limited to just school supplies. It is great as a take with you sewing kit (hand needles, thread, pins, safety pins, etc.). It is a quick sew and it looks very professional when completed.

The Rebecca Page Pencil Case is a fun project that will get rid of those mid sized scraps. Great gift idea. You could even adjust the size of your pencil holders to hold your makeup brushes!

Cute little pencil case, I love how you can put everything in this case. The storage space in this one is endless. Plus I like how you can tailor it to a sewing tools holder as someone else hacked the pencil divider. It makes it so versatile. Perfect add on for our backpack!
