This pattern weights sewing pattern makes the accessory every sewing room needs. Keep your patterns firmly in place when cutting out your fabric to whip up those gorgeous sews.
If you use scissors or a rotary cutter, these quick and easy-to-make weights make for accurate cutting and can be used in place of pins.
Skill Level – Beginner
Sizes – 2.5 inches x 2.5 inches. See the size chart in the gallery above.
Options – Use any small, heavy substance to add weight. Some examples include ball bearings, fish gravel, and rice.
Ideas – Decorate with felt and other bedazzle to make your weights unique. Add a layer of sponge to make weights that double up as pin cushions.
Fabrics – Suitable for medium- to heavy-weight wovens, such as cotton or quilting cotton
If you use a fabric with a print or nap, and you want all the pieces to go in the same direction, remember to allow extra fabric for this.

Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
