Skill Level –
Pattern includes girls sizes newborn to 12 years. See the size chart in the gallery above.
Four optional bottoms for the Patsy Party Dress to create four different outfits! A high-low skirted dress, knee-length pencil dress, wide-leg jumpsuit, and floor-length mermaid dress. PLUS, a lined, one-piece shrug that attaches to the bodice for a little extra coverage and detailing.
Suitable for medium weight wovens (not suitable for knits or stretch fabrics). If you use a stiffer fabric, it will give the bodice more structure and the skirt will puff out more. A softer, drapier fabric will result in a softer dress with a swishier skirt. Some excellent suggestions are duchess satin, crepe satin, cotton drill, cotton lawn, taffeta, and velvet. If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.
The bodice of the dress is lined, and suitable fabrics include light to medium weight woven fabrics such as Habotai (silk or polyester), poly anti-static lining, cotton, quilting cotton, and satin.
See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.
This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
