Very quick sewing, especially the shirt.

I like the clean finishes inside and out. At first it seems like you are doing things backwards but it all comes together in the end. There are tons of options in this pattern and it truly can be used year-round. I didn’t think I would make more than 1 or 2 of these but I am looking forward to making a few more for myself and of course some for my girls.

I’m so proud of my pleats! I love the beautiful french seams. I also love that the pattern includes two pieces of clothing. The pattern is lovely, flattering on curvy silhouettes. So many looks possible with those two pieces! Love it!

  4. Ruth Taylor (verified owner)

I love that the pleats have clear markings and good instructions, and the top neck binding is a new method for me.

  5. Gretchen Maharg (verified owner)

It’s a perfect combo of knit top and woven bottom! I loved how easy the shirt pattern was, from start to finish. The skirt, I loved making! Now I know how to do pleats and make a woven skirt!!

Great for formal or work wear and easy construction. I like the fitted top and I’m looking forward to trying some of the add ons.

I would say that it’s a great pattern to test the sewing skills you’ve been too afraid to try. Someone that hasn’t done pleats, zippers, used twin needles, or done a neck binding can practice these things all in this one pattern and result in such a wearable garment! I loved ending with such a professional quality garment. It looks like it came straight from the store. I love the zip back…I know it requires a perfect fit, but it’s sooooo professional.

First time doing box pleats and it was very easy and explained well. It is very versatile and can be dressed up for special occasions or made to be an everyday piece.

I love making the pleats of the skirt – It was easy and what an effect!! 🙂 It’s a pattern where you can learn a lot… for a maximum effect! 🙂

Love this set of patterns, they are very versatile and even more so with the add-ons available. It is very easy to make the top and the skirt in an afternoon, a new outfit whipped up in no time. My husband loves this as much as the Monte Carlo, says its very sexy. lol He likes that it makes a woman look very feminine and likes the length.

  11. Kathryn Bradshaw (verified owner)

I love the look of the pleats, but my favourite part was how quickly the top came together. The top will be a wardrobe staple, and the outfit together looks lovely.

  12. Meredith Simmons (verified owner)

Don’t be afraid of the pleats. The pattern walks you through how to do them, and as always, Mummykins & Me teaches you how to be a better seamstress.

  13. Jennifer Lichak (verified owner)

This neckline! Wow! I feel so lovely in this shirt. The boat neck is just fantastic. The binding around the neckline is finished and polished. I made mine from a Kelly Green French Terry and it is an instant favorite!

This was my first time doing pleats and they were a breeze. I love how the top is knit, so easy to wear and the all the options mean I can make a superb wardrobe from just these two pieces! I love the gorgeously finished skirt and lapped zip was so easy with the instructions. The final garment just makes my heart sing.

  15. Ng Puay Choo (verified owner)

This is an easy sew and a great top for everyday wear.

  16. Jennifer Reeves (verified owner)

I LOVE this pattern. It’s so gorgeous. This style of skirt looks great on everyone. The top is easy (and gorgeous). The FREE version is amazing and the add-on just makes it even better! Easy to follow instructions that teach beginners and offer good reminders for more seasoned sewists.
