Leanne Miller –
A simple but stylish skirt. Instructions were easy to follow and fabric suggestions were appropriate. This in my opinion makes this very versatile for a simple casual skirt or a more elegant skirt for more formal wear. Love it and l am generally not a maxi wearer but the drape and feel is very feminine.
Rachel Bowles –
This is a great pattern and per the usual for Rebecca Page, the instructions are phenomenal and include great tips. I made a maxi skirt with a sash and can’t wait to wear it. It’s spot on with the trends I’ve been watching.
Keeley Passwaters –
This is such an amazing pattern! The shape is simple and classic which makes it a really versatile skirt. It was super easy to follow and having all of the edges fully enclosed makes for a very professional finish!
An Staute –
I can’t express how much I love this skirt! The sash, the pockets, the fullness, I love it all! It’s a rather easy quick sew, so instant gratification ftw! 🙂
Kaitlin Howton –
This skirt pattern is a year round staple for you, or your little ones closet. Not only can you dress this skirt up or down but it comes with so many options you cant go wrong. It is beginner friendly, and a quick sew which will come in handy if you’re ever needing something with short notice.
Debbie Davis –
Sometimes you really want a tailored flat front to your skirts or a pretty sash for a dramatic bow and this skirt takes the basic gathered skirt up a notch by adding those features. Beautiful results in less than an evening.
Becky Petty –
I loved sewing the Arabella and Miss too loves wearing it. You can’t go wrong. With the trademark Rebecca Page gorgeous details and finishes finishes. I have not sewn my last Arabella!!!!
Kiran Grewal –
If you’re looking for a skirt that is a quick sew with stunning results, this is the one you need. Arabella came together effortlessly and I am so pleased with the results. Got loads of compliments for it as well 😉
Nici Ivey –
Fantastic versatile skirt pattern! The options really are endless for this skirt. I had intended to make myself a skirt, but as soon as my daughter saw it she asked for one. I let her pick fabrics and options. She went with the knee length, regular waistband, and no sash. It went together like a dream, even with all the gathering! She has already asked for several more for her to wear to school!
Chrisandmark Shapiro –
The Arabella maxi skirt with it’s flowy style and flat front/elastic back waistband is flattering and comfortable. It is feminine at its best! The tutorial for this pattern is easy to understand offers easy to follow diagrams as well. This will be a go to skirt for me!
Jen Kolar –
This is a great pattern with lots of flexibility. I love that it can be dressed up or down depending on your fabric choice. The sash adds an extra special twist. The pocket detail is wonderful and the finished garment is so easy to wear.
Jennifer Lichak –
The Arabella maxi is such a fantastic beginner pattern. Plus, with typical Rebecca Page details the seams are hidden which gives it such a polished finish.
Siska Ferdina Taslim –
This is my 2nd and 3rd arabella and it’s simple to sew up and looks really great! More to come!!
Ann-Marie Abrahams –
Absolutely loved this pattern, I made one for me and one for my daughter in an afternoon while at work! Super quick and easy but with beautiful finishing techniques that really stand out. Love the ease and fit of the elastic back but the smooth look of the flat front.
Keeley Passwaters –

I liked this skirt very much! It was fun to make and it is great to pair with blouses. As a thirteen-year-old, I found it very flattering. It took very little time to sew and it is beautiful!!
Jackie Henderson –
This is an excellent pattern for all who sew! The tutorial is thorough for those learning new skills and quick for those needing an addition to their wardrobe. French seams with inseam pockets!! Who knew? I do now!
Tammy Fowler Foster –
I absolutely love this skirt! Directions were easy to understand. Fabrics needed were inexpensive. The toughest part was the gathers. But, ultimately, you come up with a unique and beautiful skirt that can be dressed up or down!
Kiran Grewal –

Jennifer Anne Reeves –
This is a great pattern. A gorgeous skirt and a decently easy sew. It’s a great way to learn to do French Seams. Great pattern!
Sarah Boses –
Though not my usual style, I love this skirt so much! The flat front waistband makes for a flattering fit and it comes together quickly. Enclosed seams add for a really nice finish.
Jennifer Lichak –
The Arabella maxi is such a fantastic beginner pattern. Plus, with typical Rebecca Page details the seams are hidden which gives it such a polished finish. I made mine to be more formal and it sits at the best spot on my waist and flares in a flattering way. I love the flat front waist bad too. All in all, this will be a skirt I make again.
Tiffany Amos –
This fully gathered skirt is an excellent choice for a beginner sew . Many struggle with the correct amount of yardage to use when you want a skirt this full without a petticoat . This is definitely the skirt that gives it all . It’s also a plus that the back is elastic . I am in love with it , and received so many compliments .
Cindy Matthijssen –
Lovely skirt pattern with some nice options! I did the shortest version without the sash and my girl loved it. It is an easy sew, the sizing was accurate and my girl loved the fit.
Katie Panoff –
Easy to read pattern and a very simple sew. I had a little bit of trouble when it came to gathering and finding my threads to pull, so I highly recommend following the suggestion to use a different color thread for the bobbin or even a contrasting thread in general since it’s removed afterward. I love the fit and fullness of the skirt and the ability to add pockets makes a winner in my book!
Jennifer Means –
This pattern sewed up quickly and easily! Lots of fun options and my daughter is already requesting more.
Amanda Cunningham –
This pattern was one of the easiest sews I’ve done. The instructions are so clear and it took me less than hour to sew. This skirt is very full but not a circle skirt so I don’t have to worry about it flying up in the wind. It will be comfy and cool for the summer. I can’t wait to make more!
Debbie Prince –
This is a super simple skirt to make and could make in super quick time. Instructions were very clear. was my first time putting pockets in a skirt and with french seams it was very easy.
Annika Ashfield –
This skirt came together in a couple evenings and I am pretty new to sewing clothes and following patterns. The tips for each step were very helpful, make sure to read them before completing the step. It will feel like it is too big until you gather but it works out I promise! I also love the way that the pattern hides all the raw edges on the inside too!
Lauren Clark Hill –
This was a great pattern. I appreciated that I was able to just use the cut chart since I didn’t do pockets. The hardest part was gathering but it was explained clearly in the directions. I fully plan on making more of these in different lengths for this summer.
Abby Batkin –
I have always found skirts difficult to make and buy for my body type and this one was the complete opposite! It fits well and easy to follow, will be making the other lengths that are available too. Thank you
Victoria Fenner –
I have loved making the Arabella skirt for my daughter. Such a great skirt to twirl in! And pockets- yay! What initially looked like a complicated sew was actually just a few simple steps and I’m so pleased with how it turned out! I made the knee length version, but I’ve already been asked to make the maxi length. I will definitely be making more!
Donna Lowe –
This is a wonder full pattern. I love the fullness of the skirt and the options for different lengths. It is a great pattern for beginners. I can’t to make more of these for my daughter.
Julie Lawson –
The Arabella Ladies pattern was a joy to make and turned out so well! My daughter is thrilled to have it, and wants to know when she can learn to make it for herself.
Kel Jewell –
I love this skirt pattern. The finished waistband is so neat and tidy. It was my first time doing French seams so struggled a little with the pockets. This is my first arabella but won’t be my last.
Katerina Bauman –
While this is a simple and straightforward skirt, every detail was considered, including french seams. The elastic back waistband makes this skirt comfortable without losing its class factor.
Kelly Tuttle –
I love my new skirt. Very quick sew, and very stylish.
Alieke Enders –
This cute skirt is made in no time! Nice pattern to make many skirts for the summer.
Bridget Taylor –
“I enjoyed making this skirt. I did have a few confused moments due to directional fabric, but that’s not a new thing for me! I did this in a woven as well as a light-weight knit and both turned out great. The woven has more of a dressy factor to it, but my daughter was insistent that she needed a purple skirt.
In hindsight, I don’t think I’d bother with the pockets again for her even thoug they are relatively simple. I did french seams the first time, but went with using the overlocking foot for my regular sewing machine the second time. I think for a special fabric I’d likely stick with french seams because I prefer that look.
I will definitely be using this as my go-to pattern for quite a while for her skirts. I like the mix of an elastic back waist and a set front one. Oh.. if your kiddo is a bow person, do the wider sash. I know mine will prefer that in the future. The regular waistband looks nice, but it doesn’t have the “”wow”” of the bigger bow. “
Cassandra Morris –
The Arabella skirt was exactly what i was after. I made a lovely knee length winter skirt and it can out perfect. And you cant go wrong with pockets!
Cindy Matthijssen –
Quick and easy skirt pattern! Love the different looks you can create with one pattern, by trying out different lengths, different waistband sizes, different types of fabrics or adding or leaving out the sash. The fit is spot on, and the instructions are very clear to follow. Perfect skirt for every season.
Donna Jones –
This is a beautiful skirt! The only issue I had were in the sash/waistband where I would suggest stressing the seam allowance at the sewing the sash steps as I must have done it wrong because when I attached my sash and folded my waistband my sash was too wide. I overcame it by gathering the sash a little, but it would have been fine if my seam allowance was right to begin with. Love the skirt, as does my goddaughter x
Shyela Webster –
The pattern was easy to follow and was quick to sew up. The tutorial directions could use a few additional pictures at different angles to help sewers.
Catherine Murdock –
I love this skirt , it’s so simple to sew with an amazing end result
Nadine Humblet –
I sew the maxi version in double gauze and I can’t wait summer to wear it! It’s so easy to wear and so chic!
Karen Kaye Manalo –
The Arabella pattern was an easy sew. Being able to choose the length skirts and added sash options makes it a gorgeous pattern to play and mix with to create a piece to match each and everyone’s taste. Love this skirt.
Mireille Ribiere –
A great skirt what you can make with different kind of fabric and still looks great. You’re child will love it and it is an easy and fast sew
Rebecca Jarmola –
This is a great skirt, my daughter loves that she can twirl in it. I found the pockets tricky to get the right way round but it was worth persevering as she loves the fact that her skirt has pockets.
Donna Lowe –
I am not one to wear gather at the waist skirts, but there was something about this one that got my attention. I love the length and sash option. The fit is great is awesome. I will admit it has change my mind alittle. This is a great beginners pattern.
Magda Rindmo –
A fast and fun skirt to make. Fits perfect with the flat waistband on the front and the elastic in the back. I recommend everyone to try this!
Vanja Marolt –
The pattern is easy to follow. Only on the waist band I got a little lost. Otherwise it will be great for my growing baby bump.
Victoria Evitts –
What a beautiful pattern! This really is the skirt of little girls’ dreams… it twirls and it has pockets AND a bow. The finishing touches are all thought of and you’re really talked through the whole process of making it look as professional on the inside as it does on the outside. I just can’t wait to make one in my own size now!
Chantal van Drunen –
What seemed like a very, very simple sew, took a little more effort. Especially the waistband is a bit tricky, but as always the instructions are very clear and with the pictures, I got this done!
Melinda Bailey –
This skirt was a dream to sew, with easy to follow instructions, and looks so sweet on! Loved making this skirt!
Jenna Page –
Lovely skirt to make!
French seams and sticking in the ditch make a very professional finish.
Always love pockets!!!
And lots of options for length and the addition of a cute sash which can be front or back tied is just stunning
Alejandra –
I think it needs some tweaks in terms of plus size fitting.
I do notice that on smaller fits, the skirt looks so cute and it’s so easy to make that anyone without a sewing experience can do it.
Easy to follow and easy to pair it up.
Sandy Salierno –
This is a great skirt! Easy to sew, professional looking on both the inside and out and, most importantly, it has POCKETS! It’s perfect for prints and solids and has so many options you’ll make it again and again.
Lauri Meinhardt –
This skirt is beautiful, I made the shorter version with tall waistband and tie as well as pockets. Such a quick and easy sew, the fit was spot on. With all the length and other options this skirt will be a staple in my closet this summer.
Tara Erwin –
I made sister skirts for my two girls with the Arabella skirt and absolutely love them! They were so quick and easy to sew up and were perfect for a spring outfit. I love the sash/bow option. Adds such a nice little touch and was pretty easy to do! I love that it has multiple length options for the skirt too. definitely one I will be using again and one I’m definitely gonna need for myself!
Bridget Taylor –
I’ve made this skirt in both the child and adult sizes. The pattern goes quickly and I appreciate that there isn’t much to print to get started. I think the only quirk a beginner may have is with the gathering, but if you follow what the pattern says and do it in the 4 sections it is very doable!
For the adult one, I’ll definitely have my wearer try it on first and adjust the length before hemming. I knew it’d be longer on her, but it was a LOT longer. We used a fun print and overall she loves it. This skirt also pairs nicely with the chloe cami patterns.
Lieve Cox –
I really enjoyed sewing this skirt. The pattern was very clear to me and the instructions were easy to follow.
Heidi Gray –
Fast, simple and beautiful! Love the flowy-ness of this skirt and can’t wait to make a shorter version
Mariza Seymour –
The perfect skirt to make any little girl happy. My little fashionista has proclaimed that this will be the only skirt she wears from now on! The pattern has clear instructions and the outcome is just amazing!
Khirya Littoria –
I love it !! Gorgeous pattern 🙂
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Super quick sew with a BIG payoff. It’s a darling skirt that creates the perfect silhouette. My LO calls it her princess skirt. Added bonus, it takes very little fabric. I’ve already cut a second one. Super quick sew with a BIG payoff. It’s a darling skirt that creates the perfect silhouette. My LO calls it her princess skirt. Nerida Cross –
Great pattern – easy to follow. I’m at the lower end of XL and could have made a L as there is so much fabric in the skirt. I used the L size elastic and had to cut it down further to get the right fit. Beautiful pattern.
Cassie Ledbetter –
This is my new favorite skirt! It’s so comfortable, I love the elastic waistband! I made the knee length version and it’s a perfect spring/summer skirt. Light and breezy! It’s easy to dress this skirt up for a night out or dress down for a quick grocery run. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. I’ll definitely be making more!
Jamie Adler –
Bella, Arabella! It is a wonderful addition to her wardrobe and easy to follow pattern. She can wear her Arabella for lunch with Gramma or at church services. It twirls, too, she said. This is a highly recommended skirt!
Jenny Gomez –
I cannot get over how beautiful this turned out considering how little effort it took!
Jenny Gomez –
A fast and fabulous see! I got random compliments from strangers the first time I wore it out
Abby Villarreal –
Quick and straightforward pattern to use!
Rebekah Homer –
I don’t usually sew skirts with a gathered waist, but I’m so glad I went out of my comfort zone! This is such a fun skirt with little options (such as an optional sash, tall or short waistband, and pockets!) that make it rise above the ordinary. And despite my concerns, I love how it looks on me! For an experienced sewist, the pattern is super simple using familiar techniques. If you’re a beginner though, I love the very thorough instructions and tips that walk you through techniques that every sewist needs to learn. I whole heartedly recommend this for anyone looking for an elevated look that even a beginner can accomplish.
Debbie Prince –
Very simple skirt to make. Great that you can work out the sizes from the cutting chart so no need to print the pattern if you don’t want too. Enjoyed making this alot. Was very easy to add pockets aswell, everyone needs pockets xx
Maja Rus –
Nice skirt, that will grow with my pregnant belly. Comfy and beautiful. Simple sew, took me only one afternoon.
Alisha Maria Reil –
Love this skirt!! It was a quick sew and the instructions were very clear and well written. The different options of length, waistband height and sash make it versatile and I will for sure be sewing more for my little girl and my wardrobe!
Alisha Maria –
This was a fun and easy sew! The instructions were very well written. I love that I can make a matching mommy and me set and that they are so comfy to wear! The options are fantastic and I will definitely be making more!
Corrine Smith –
I found it to be an easy pattern to sew. It was quick and easy and fun!
Shauna Richards –
This skirt is a basic wardrobe staple but the sash option adds a nice addition to give it a bit of class and sass! I love the full skirt and instructions for beautiful finishing touches not always accounted for in other patterns I have done from other sources.
Victoria Williamson –
I’m still a beginner at sewing and found the Arabella skirt to be fun and easy to follow! I used a black satin taffeta from JoAnn Fabrics and the skirt turned out just like I imagined and hoped it would in my head! The fabric choice makes it look fancy but I still feel like the skirt is versatile enough to be dressed down with a tshirt. I loved the bow option, it was easy to add and looks very cute!
Frieda Flavianu –
What a quick sew. The elasticated back waist make fitting very easy. I like the fact that what you see in the line drawing is what you get from this pattern . I am in love with the end product.
Michelle –
It’s a lovely skirt with a great band design. Instructions are very thorough with lots of helpful hints.
Tina Pavlič –
It’s quite easy – not really very easy, but absolutely not hard to do. It is quite fast. The result (skirt) is awsome – my little girls really love that skirt – will have to make much more 🙂
Krystyna Czerwiec –
Very effective skirt with vintage vibe. It’s clasic, it’s chic and you have to have it!
Luana Furlanetto –
This is the cutest skirt! I like that I can easily use stripe fabrics since the skirt pattern isn’t round. I love the sash that gives a very cute touch to the skirt.
Susan Pearson –
This pattern tested some skills I haven’t used in awhile, such as gathering. Very clear and concise instructions made it easy to put together. The skirt ended up much larger in the waist than what I had measured for – not sure if that was my mistake, or if the pattern runs large. Either way, with the tie, the skirt turned out lovely.
Frances Lancaster –
The Arabella is both lovely and simple to sew! The optional pockets are so practical, and you can add a sash for some extra style.
Tammy Westfahl –
I made the regular waistband, no sash with pockets using the serged method. It was an easy sew that is very appropriate for beginners and a quick sew for a more advanced sewer. I’ve never made french seams with pockets and will try them with my next Arabella.
Courtney Palmer –
Such a sweet and beautiful pattern with a lovely result!
Karla Peterson –
My Arabella skirt is so twirley! I love the pockets, they were a simple addition to the pattern. The instructions were easy to follow and now that I know how to add a pockets to a side seam I can use that for other patterns. The cutting chart was helpful so I didn’t have to print the skirt pieces, just the pocket.
Sarah Hopkins –
“I love this skirt, a great beginner sew or quick sewing you’ve had more experience. The fabric choice really makes a difference. Choose something floaty and you’ll want to swish every time you wear it!
The pattern has optional pockets, plus a range of lengths, it’ll become a wardrobe staple. I’m already planning my second arabella “
