As a bigger lady, I haven’t worn shorts for a long time.. I was just pretty sure they didn’t suit me and never seemed to fit right. These shorts are brilliant. A perfect shape and style to suit even a more rounded jiggly bottom!! Made pairs for me and for my 12 month old, both are gorgeous. I was a little nervous about the pattern at first because there are a LOT of pieces, but the instructions were superb and I didn’t have any problems at all. Bravo Rebecca, bravo!!!
Tori Priest –

Quite a relatively easy sew, very versatile. And I adore the fact you can do a mommy and me version.
Natasha Machala –
I loved making this pattern. It’s the first garment I’ve ever made for myself and I’m so pleased with how it turned out. Thea was so happy when she saw me coming down the stairs wearing the same shorts as her!! I can see many more matching outfits in our future…xx
Livia Yamada –
Another winner! I’d say definitely go for it, cutest shorts ever! The front is so flattering! Just make sure you muslin first to get it to fit your body perfectly!

This a fun and easy to wear pair of shorts! Complete with typical Rebecca Page’s attention to detail these shorts are wonderfully crafted with a full lining and different finish options. Overall another win for the Rebecca Page team.

Like all the Rebecca Page patterns, all the finishing are perfect, the fit is great, and the instructions are really clear. And it’s in French
Yin Ying –
Great pattern. Professional finishing that you can’t believe you can make your own.
Amy Vickers –
This is a super cute and easy pattern to construct and it has a very wide range of sizes from NB to plus size women. There are different options for length and style. These are one of the best patterns for shorts that I have seen.
Leanne Miller –
Again, another stylish pattern from Rebecca Page. The finish again is seamless showing great quality in a garment. This pattern does offer a very big size range as with all other Rebecca Page patterns. Offering the size range for ladies is wonderful as it allows all ladies to feel loved. I do not know of any other pattern designer that offers their patterns from NB to the higher range of girls sizes. Great value for money.

If you like shorts it is a must have, and I know this is going to be the one that makes you change your mind :3. Better than any boutique shorts.
Annelies VS –
This is a very satisfying pattern for every age. Due to the different options 1 single pattern can turn into a hole lot of different shorts/pants. Sew along steps are not that clear at each step. Mommy & me potion is a definite plus!
Debbie Davis –
I’ve now sewn these up as women’s shorts and as child pants with the add-on. Before the summer is over I will definitely be using these to add to my daughter’s shorts wardrobe too. For myself they are super comfortable to wear because they have enough room in the thighs to not constrict when moving and sitting and they come up high enough to cover the pooch – two things that are always a problem for me in store-bought shorts. Both times I have used the unlined versions of the pattern and find that super easy and quick.
Ng Puay Choo –
My daughters and I love the Berry Bubble Shorts, perfect for our hot summer weather in Singapore. Love the ladies cuff version, details like the front yoke with buttons and pockets as well. There are many steps involved in making this pair of shorts but it is worth the effort as it look professionally made.
Carol Bolatto –
I did use the size chart, and made the shorts in the longer version. The pieces did fit together accurately. I was a bit confused about the side front yoke, because on the photo, I didn’t see a horizontal seam. I went ahead anyway, and it worked out fairly well. I will now make a second pair. This time I will size down, and draft a new side yoke without elastic in it, making the waistband for the back only.
The styling is adorable!
Maja –
Not so easy to sew, but such a pleasure when finished. I have never sewn such a beautiful shorts <3 Pattern convinced me, to sew ladies size also :))
Maja Rus –
Not so simple to sew, but when finished … shorts I made are awesome <3
Khirya Littoria –
Simple to sew and comfortable to wear ♥
Sarah Hopkins –
I love this pattern, can’t wait to try different options. This pattern was more challenging and has many pieces but the instructions are really good and guided me through the steps. The elastic waist makes it a great fit and easy to adjust. Took longer to sew than other projects but a very satisfying sew and worth the extra time.
Jane Whicheloe –
Great pattern which tested my skills. Good clear instructions as always. Love them. One I will make again
Kellie Jewell –
This is by far my most detailed sew to date. Each individual step was easy but there was quite a lot of steps to complete. The outcome was so worth it. This is my most neat and professional finish. I love that I was able to do the buttonholes before completing the garment it gave me so much more confidence to know that the whole project wouldn’t be ruined if I didn’t get it right. Can’t wait to make more.
Mariza Seymour –
I love how these shorts came out. I used a corduroy to create a more winter shorts to be worn with leggings and boots. Tricky at times but as usual the pattern is well written and instructions clear to follow.
Erica Triplett –
I really like these shorts! I will say that my waist measurement falls in the middle of the XL range and I could still use to take the elastic in 3 inches and could have graded in to a size L.
Carmen Mills Brent –
These shorts have some fun and unique options that make them a stand out wardrobe piece for warmer months.
Leanne Molini –
I can not wait for the warm weather to wear them. They can be dressed up or just casual for a day out at the beach.
Joy DeLong –
An enjoyable sew. Took about two hours. Instructions are quite clear and thorough, photos are very helpful. It’s a good confidence building pattern for a beginner ready for a challenge. I only suggest a rethink on measuring the back elastic.
Taiko Karen Rai –
These shorts are fancy and very well constructed like they are tailored. I love how the waistband is elasticize but hidden behind the front buttoned panel so they are comfortable yet look fitted and stylish. I joked that they are the perfect buffet pants! My kids are different belly types so I love that as they get handed down, I can snap/button them tighter or looser to fit all body types.
Victoria Evitts –
What a beautiful pattern! It’s an involved sew with lots of different elements which combined makes for the most adorable pair of shorts. Not difficult but a pattern where you want to spend a bit of extra time making something really special.
Nathalie Dene –
I love this pattern! It is easier tot sew than how it looks. Nice fit thanks to the elastic waistband. My favourite RP pattern so far
Veronika Lorenser –
This was a great pattern to sew. I had never done any shorts, pocketed or a fully lined item before but the steps were very clear and easy to follow. Having the photos of each step is super helpful. Will probably make the kids version at some point. Thanks for a great pattern!
Linda Riggall –
An epic sew! It took me so long to make these shorts but I am so pleased with how they turned out. This was my first time fully lining a garment and I have to say they look amazing. My 8 yo is tall and athletic, she measured in the 9-10 height range with a waist of a 2-3. Having read the instructions carefully I decided to go with the height and use button hole elastic at the waist as the final waist measurement is supposed to be 5-10 cm more than the actual waist. The fit is pretty perfect. I think if I had graded more on the waist I would have lost the beautiful fullness which is the essence of the pattern. My daughter loves them and they look really smart, I’m going to make another pair for the youngest now too. I think the second pair will be so much fastest. Incidentally, this was my first time using a walking foot and it made life so much easier as there are a lot of layers to get through.
Grace Elliott –
These bubble shorts are so adorable! They are big enough to slide on without unbuttoning, and they give such a cute vintage feel. My size 2-3 yr daughter loves to match with me, so I made a pair of Ladies’ Large for me. I used medium/light weight twill for the main fabric and quilting cotton for the lining.
Grace Elliott –
My Ladies’ Berry Bubble Shorts have such a fun vintage feel! I had to follow the instructions carefully since the construction is fairly involved, but the result is worth it. They’re so cute, especially since I made my mini-me a little matching pair in size 2-3 yrs. I love the mommy & me options with this pattern!
Leah McGrath –
I love them! The pattern was a blast to sew. They are perfect for summer and fit so well. I can’t wait to make many more fun shorts.
Marilyn Garcia –
Nicely drafted pattern, but you must read and follow directions in order given or very confusing. Also make sure pieces are accurately cut out, then they fit together accurately. I would not make this pattern up in stiff or heavy fabric, especially the childs. Nothing heavier than quilting cotton if lined. Only thing I did a bit differently was sew buttons on without buttonholes
Nali Nali –
Berry Bubble Shorts pattern is packed with so much details to learn and and I love the clear step by step instructions. Look at the front yoke and the cute buttons positions! I have always wanted to learn how to make a fully lined shorts and now I did. Yeah!
Susan Pearson –
Love the look of these shorts, and the construction is amazing. Fully lined, elasticized back waist, front yoke, pocket and leg bindings – this pattern has a bit of everything.
Jemma Tredinnick –
I really enjoyed making these shorts. They seem scary at first with all the pieces and the lining bit they go together really nicely and make lovely shorts. I did the short version with a cuff on the legs and they are really well fitting and comfortable.
Ann Ruysschaert –
I will unpick everything and downsize for it is way too large but I really adore this, great for a ride on my bike in the sunny spring-time over here
