The ladies’ and children’s Kingston denim jackets are two of our most popular patterns! They’re super cool and super addictive to make, and we simply had to include the dudes in this awesomeness!

The Kingston Jacket, a beautifully-finished mens denim jacket pattern, is the perfect final touch for any outfit!

You can either use a serger for a quick finish, or instructions are included for an all-traditional denim jacket finished, with hidden seams, on a sewing machine.

The Details:

Gallery – See images from Instagram below. Or view our full tester gallery on our Facebook Page here: The Kingston Jacket

Skill Level – While the techniques used to construct this jacket are perfect for advanced beginners, the pattern instructions are very thorough and detailed, with lots of tips, so sewistas of all levels can follow them!

Sizes – Pattern includes men’s sizes XXS to 4XL! See the size chart in the gallery above.

Options – Optional side seam pockets, waistband tabs, and front pockets with flaps.

Ideas – Use a faux leather to make up the coolest Kingston around!

Fabrics – Denim, however any medium weight woven fabric will work, and many heavier woven fabrics will work too. Great options are: denim, stretch denim, bull denim, low-pile corduroy, cotton canvas, twill, or even an old pair of up-cycled jeans.

If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.

See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.

Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
