“I loved making this purse! It was fun to be focused on the project and to get such a lovely outcome. You can use such a variety of fabrics or design it with the different faces that come with the pattern. And the purse can fit a lot of items in it without noticing from the outside – not bulky or jamming things in!”

This is a great, well instructed pattern. I made mine ‘adult’ with a simple lilac spotted fabric with matching piping. I did add a mesh pocket and hand tacked the lining. The result is really professional with every raw edge concealed. Fantastic!

Sometimes you just need a basic round purse. And sometimes, you just go crazy with all the fun design possibilities. Or is that just me? I had so much fun with this purse, the basic round shape really lends itself to so many fun designs. I loved even making the “basic” one, using homemade piping, and mixing textiles to create a fun and professional looking bag. There’s nothing too difficult here, though to be honest, I changed how I constructed it to suit my own preferences. But it was so easy to do! This pattern is really flexible.
