How do PDF/ digital patterns work? Simply download, print, and sew. You’ll need a free Adobe Acrobat reader program and any home printer (or a nearby copy shop for A0 printing). Once you’ve printed the pieces, tape or glue them together. You’ll find an easy-to-follow how-to guide inside the pattern instructions, plus support in our Facebook group.

The trim-free pattern comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes and includes full pattern pieces and a detailed tutorial to guide you every step of the way. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want/ need.

    This made a lovely pair of slinky pyjama shorts for my daughter (and they look great combined with the short version of the ladies slip). I used a slinky mystery woven fabric which did make it more difficult especially when doing the rolled hem. I would definitely make these again (but not sure I would do a rolled hem ever again!)

    This pattern was very easy to follow. The directions for putting it together were very clear. Especially how to put together the side seams with the hem already completed. I found this very easy to follow and I have never completed a pair of shorts in this manner before. The garment turned out perfectly in size. I did serge it together and serged on the elastic then turned over and stitched down the elastic to create the “band.”

    A few firsts for me with this pattern: used a rolling foot for the hem and have never done such an elastic before. All instructions were very good (french seams e.g) and the result has a polished look. The fit seems for me very loose. The fit doesn’t work as well for cotton fabric, it looks a bit like a tent I’m afraid.

    I found the instructions easy to follow. The trickiest part was getting the elastic right. My first pair are far too big, and with sewn in elastic, it is impossible to alter. I reduced the elastic in the second pair. The basting around the edge puckered the fabric a bit, so I just basted around the curved edge to reduce puckering. I can’t wait to make the matching top.
