Love this pattern! It is very easy to sew up and omg super comfy and flowy! I love how you can choose the length, I made the top version using a light weight cotton and it turned out amazing, I even did the bell sleeves!!! Will definitely be making another one or two!!!
Virginia Leo –
I really like the way this pattern fits; the ease of the sleeve and the ease across the back are just right. The shape of the sleeve cap is perfect, just one row of ease stitches and the sleeve slipped right into the armseye! I did not do french seams but, instead used my serger to finish the seams.
Tiffany Amos –
Over all the Toronto was a fun sew . One a scale to 100 on comfort it definitely gets a 10 . Since i am not expecting I will definitely add a sash/belt when I am wearing it .
Terri Shaver –
This was a fun pattern and I actually made two, I loved it so much! I would suggest somewhere in the pattern description, that it be stated that this runs VERY LARGE. I made the second because the first was so big, even going by the measurements. Very happy with both though. Made from a 100% crinkle rayon, they are very airy and light. I may try a third using the medium size all the way throughout the pattern. Very happy with results and the pattern!
SSeem sing –
It was overall simple uncomplicated sew.
Sofia Åkerlind –
Beautiful pattern with several options!
Shirley Soon –
I made a toronto day dress in top length! I really love the style of it. The instructions are so detailed and easy to follow. This is a quick sew to me, the longest time I took is on the gatherings. Im looking forward in making a knee length toronto day dress next!
Shelley Clark –
I think fabric choice it’s SUPER important on this one. I was not thrilled with the top I made. I used cotton woven. It was a bit too stiff. I have seen several tops that I think were gorgeous.
Qwinta Van Ryckeghem –
Easy pattern with clear manual. The specified steps are easy to follow.
Peggy Pazera Cooke –
A voluminous make, roomy with a lot of swish. It’s a not my typical style, but, depending on your choice of fabric, can create a variety of looks. A sheer version would make an excellent swim suit cover-up or layering piece.
Patricia Beidegårdh –
Fun and beautiful dress love it!
Nicole Flanagan –
The Toronto day dress/ top is a fun flowy design perfect for light weight fabrics with lots of drape. Lots of length options available. A quick sew with a serger and sewing machine.
Laura Walker –
I really enjoyed making this pattern and loved the finished piece! It came together surprisingly fast and the french seams and bias binding gave the dress a beautiful finish. I will definitely make this one again!
Krystyna Czerwiec –
This garment is very easy to sew (if you use serger). It is in boho style, so blouse is loose and gives you impression to be enormous (I would be happier if top of it was more tailored). It looks great with slim jeans.
Agnes Robinson –
I love it. My husband says it looks a little boxy. May be suggest light, filling material. Also may be the frilly layers could be less gathered to make it not so boxy.
Hannah Burne –
I really liked the look of this dress!
Deshai Richardson –
Easy sew!
Amy Kaczenski –
Love the pattern, wasn’t sure about the volume of the blouse, but after seeing photos of everyone, it looks great…still trying to get used to wearing it! Can’t wait to make more and try different fabrics and lengths!
Becca Stradling –
I love this more than I expected to. It was pretty easy, but I think I’m a little slow, so it took me some time… Worth it though! I feel beautiful and feminine in this top. I can’t wait to try it in maxi length.
Kainui Nihipali –
The instructions were very detailed & the posts in the fb group were helpful as well. The support is great!
Kelly Tuttle –
This was a very quick and easy sew. Instructions were very clearly stated- wish I had seen these french seam instructions when I first started sewing! A great pattern for beginners and advanced sewists alike. This is a very comfy & roomy top.
Kelly-Anne Fulmizi –
I have to say it wasn’t a super lengthy sew (which I loved) but some of it defiantly made me think. I didn’t love it when I finished it as I thought it looked like I was wearing a tent but it grew on me overnight. Another great pattern with great step by step instructions.
Kirstie Balding –
Some great techniques to challenge the beginner sewer (gathering, roleau loops and bias finishing). Love the floatiness and forgiving fit, would be great made up in something very lightweight or sheer for a great dress to throw on our your swimwear.
Angie Kyp –
The Toronto is a very comfortable top or dress. The instructions are very thorough and allow you to make a garment with really nice and neat inside as well as out. It is the perfect spring top or dress that can transition into summer, especially when made with light fabrics.
Mary Acosta –
Love this pattern not hard to follow and loved the flow. Only had trouble turning the loop cause the casing was so small.
Tinie Toanlk –
Surprisingly easy to make and so comfortable to wear thanks to its loose fitting shape. If I want more define shape, I can just style it with a tie belt. Very versatile pattern
Pamela Munnerlyn –
I loved sewing this pattern. There are so many things you can do with it and it is so very easy and quick sew. I will be making more of these.
Gabriella Hägglund –
The fit of the Toronto is really good, it sits really nice over the shoulders. That combined with the relaxed, flowing style with the tiers makes this a ??Superb top or dress. A big plus is that you only need to print a few pages for the pattern, since you get the meassurements for the tiers.
Zaji Kali Boyer –
This top is so good in a flowy fabric. Fabric choice is essential in deciding how poofy you want this garment to look. It really is flattering on. I didn’t have any issues with the French seams because it was explained well in this pattern instructions. It didn’t take very long to sew this top either. I look forward to making more.

I really love this pattern. I made the top. I used the original sleeves, stay stitched and they fit the armscythe on my first try. The French seams add such a professional finish and the instructions were easy to understand.
Jackie Henderson –
I made this breezy dress for my teen daughter and she loves it. Pretty and feminine! She loves to twirl it. Yes, she’s a teen and loves to twirl! The gathered sleeves add to the charm!

“Great pattern, with step-by step, illustrated, easy to understand instructions – even for a novice! (especially for a novice). It is only made better by the options that are given – there are several ways you may finish inner seams for example.
The garment is comfortable and flow-y; it can be dressed down for a shopping/errands day or dressed up with a belt and statement necklace for a dinner night out!”
SSeem Sing –
It was overall simple uncomplicated sew till sleeve attachment where I think additional pictures might have helped.

Quick and easy sew. Great matter for a relaxed outfit, if you want it a little more formal, then adding a sash or the does the trick.

“This was a pleasently quick sew. WIth all of the gathering, I expected it to take longer than it did. My overall impression is that I feel that it’s a little too full. I kinda feel like a cupcake ?. My sister says it looks like a pregnancy top or a little girl’s dress (though she likes the look with a belt), and my husband chuckled when he first saw it.
