Olivia, the ladies boho top sewing pattern, is a simple, but beautiful sew. Drafted with a gathered boat neck that sits between off-the-shoulder and a regular neckline, Olivia shows off your collar bones and neck, but still gives you a bit of extra coverage, resting gently around the décolleté.

The traditional pillowcase-style top is comfy, loose-fitting, and floaty around the body. Your fabric and sleeve options can take Olivia from a cool summer top (worn with denim cut-offs and sandals) to a transitional piece for spring and fall, and even a winter warmer.

I am a moderate beginner – have sewn a few things for my kids and several pillowcases. This came together really easily. I did take about 10.5″ off the elastic at the neck, because I wanted to close the neckline in a little more. This caused the shirt to cinch up a little – so it was a little shorter than I would have originally liked. But this was a great learning experience and with a few tweaks I can get this pattern to be perfect.

  11. An Staute

Nice lose flowy top with which you can be creative! A quick easy sew 🙂

  12. Kyra Delaney

I love this pattern so much! It’s perfect to use the adorable quilting cotton you buy and don’t know what to do with. It’s also so comfy when making in a knit too. It’s a simple sew that walks you through French seams if you haven’t encountered them before along with adding elastic making the fit so much easier.

  13. Marie Biswell
