Gabrielle Carisse –
I really like how it turned out, so light, perfect over the bathing suit, but also for a light cover when switching from heat wave to air conditioning… And it was such a quick sew with my serger!
Vicky Dufour –
Such a quick and easy sew ! Well detailed instructions, very versatile in types of fabric, which can turn the Monaco from cool and beachy to trendy and chic ! Love that there’s two options for the finishing touches, binding or folding hem. Not the last Monaco I sew, that’s for sure
Tanya Sydor –
What a wonderful sew! It is perfect for beginners and you get an amazingly beautiful cover up at the end. The length of the top is perfect- I am 5’11” and didnt have to lengthen at all!
Sabrina Ropp –
The Monaco was so fast and easy, and makes a wonderful swim coverup! I can’t wait to try this pattern again to make myself a cardigan.

I used this pattern for a lightweight cardigan-type garment for summer. I love the length and dramatic sleeves and waterfall front. It’s stylish and super comfortable. I did find the project to come together quite quickly as well.

The Monaco is a quick easy sew for all sewing abilities! You can truly make this ‘your own’ by adding trim, or using just about any type of fabric. Makes a great swim cover-up, wear it with jeans, bring it to a restaurant to keep the chill off while eating, so many options, you’ll want to make many of these. Directions are easy to follow, this will become a closet staple!

Ilse Lemmens –
The Monaca Cover up is the ideal cover up to go to the beach or to spend your evening with friends. I loved to sew it up because you have maximum result with minimum sewing time. I used a sheer fabric to get that effect I was aiming for. Thank you!
Sseem Sing –
Lovely easy pleasant sew for anyone who wants a versatile cover-up . The Monaco will be great for poolside but also for super cold indoor malls/ offices ( in sunny Singapore!) . I love that you can dress up and down in the Monaco

Alisha Adams –
This pattern came just in time for a weekend family vacation. I made an XL from a lightweight cotton and added two inches to the length. It took ~5 hrs over two days to finish this and I could not be more pleased. I’m already planning another one in a striped linen.
Julie McKinley –
Such a great pattern! Just a few seams, finish the edges, and you have a great wardrobe booster! Or swimsuit cover up! Or both!
Angel Pooley –
Love this super glam pattern. It’s a simple pattern which allowed me to focus on working on a harder fabric; shifty chiffon. Love it. Perfect for the beach or even a jacket to cover my arms on warmer days x
Stephanie Springer Leddy –
Love the finished product – I recently had a baby and made this for a family beach vacation to flatter my “baby curves” while lounging by the pool. It’s nice and breezy but still gives good coverage. I definitely think adding the trim is what makes this pattern so fun and flattering, and would absolutely recommend the trim option!
Katerina Bauman –
A super easy pattern that will create a great swim coverup! I recommend using a woven if you want a light and breezy look. What a great way to add some style and modesty to your swimwear, without having to walk around in wet clothes 😉
Querida Gardiner –
This was the quickest item I have made in a while and is so beautiful and versatile it will become a wardrobe staple for me. The Monaco can be used as a beach cover up but also as dear or evening wear teamed with jeans or trousers and a sexy top. I will be making more with matching tie belt and trimming for the summer nights ahead.
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
If you have a serger and just do a regular hem with your twin-needle or coverlock, this is a quick and easy sew. I especially love the seam in the middle of the back. Just be sure to have enough fabric before starting, as the pattern requires quite a lot fabric. Depending on your choice of fabric you can also impact if the final look is more for home or work.
Mary Acosta –
Loved it and will be making several as Christmas gifts
Stacey Williams –
This is one of those go-to patterns that can be dressed up surrounded by beautiful lace or relaxed with a simple turned hem. It works with so many fabric types; try it out. I think when you do, you’ll love it!
Rebecca Jarmola –
I loved sewing the Monaco. It’s easy as it’s mostly straight seams. The rolled hem was a bit tricky to do. It will make an excellent cover up when I’m on the beach this summer or in the garden and need my arms and shoulders covered.
Adelle Pears –
This is such a lovely pattern, it’s an easy make with excellent instructions but gives such a great versatile garment. I’ve already made 2 and will definitely be making many many more.

Manuela Zender –
I love the Monaco. Its fast and easy to sew and looks stunning. Notnjust as cover up for the beach its also great to combine with jeans or short dresses.
Jose Vernooy Winkel –
This is a quick sew with only a sewing machine needed. I’ve used some bedsheets cotton to create a fancy wrap cardigan. I love the French seam finishing and the hemming I did with my hemmer foot. Totally recommend this. Paired it with a crop top and shorts for casual chique look. Perfect for vacation dining ?
June Butchee –
The Monaco is a super fast sew which can produce elegant results. It can be used as a coverall for evening or casual wear and when using different fabric can even be a swimsuit cover-up. The possibilites are endless. Choose fabrics and colors to match every outfit you own!

Frances Tilden –
The Monaco is such a quick and easy sew. It makes a perfect beach cover up.
Kirsten Olson –
This is a nice starter pattern for someone looking to get into sewing. It works with a range of fabrics, as usual I picked something akin to tissue paper, and even with that this pattern came out really well. With only 6 pieces it was easy to cut mirror images, and line things up in such a way that everything matched on both sides.
Lauren Clark Hill –
This pattern was so quick and simple. This is a style that I love having in my wardrobe because it can make a basic tank top look polished. I’m looking forward to making these for pregnant friends in the future.
Julie Educate –
Very fast and fun sew! It is super comfy. I probably should have taken it up a bit. I am 5”1’ and it hit below the calf. But it is still real cute!
Annika Ashfield –
This was a very quick sew to have made during a weekend and is a great addition to my summer wardrobe. Can’t wait to make some more!!

Kelsey Jean –
I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this pattern. It was a fast sew (I turned and coverstitched the hem) but I think it would be even more beautiful with a binding hem! I think the ease is so great that the back can be cut on the fold and the sizing is very generous- someone two sizes above me was able to wear it will no problem. This would be a perfect pattern for gifting someone whose size you didn’t exactly know. Great job!
Elizabeth Pace –
It’s a lovely pattern and wonderful for layering during a normal day. It sews up quickly and gets a lot of attention when I wear it. I like it sewn with a fabric that has good drape.
Definitely a must sew and have a few in your closet for layering spring, summer and fall!
Joelene Montgomery –
This was super fun to make and is really flattering!
Jenni Early –
This pattern is so versatile! I made mine as a layering piece for a sewing capsule that I’m working on, and I am going to be able to wear it for so many things! Bathing suit coverup. Light layer over workout gear. Cardigan to go with a dress or a skirt. It’s perfect for so much 🙂
Jade Burton –

Fran Bennett-Cowie –
Quick and easy sew. I can’t wait for warmer weather as I think I’ll be getting lots of use out of this. I was between sizes but didn’t grade I just went with the size my chest measurement fell into.
TaWanna Archia –
This is a very easy sew with lots of french seams to provide you with a professional finish. Great woven option. I find that it is a tad oversize though the sleeves are perfect. I love with the curvy patterns I no longer have to do a bicep adjustment for my larger arms. I definitely see more of these in my future.
Glo Ban –
Perfect for the summer! A quick sew, just choose a wonderful fabric and let it be the star of this simple pattern!
Rebecca Oburotha –
Such a fantastic make. Once it comes together, you will absolutely fall in love with this versatile cover up. Can be styled in so many different ways and can be worn indoors or outdoors. Can be worn as a trans seasonal piece (in between seasons) piece as spring is fast approaching.
