This ladies tunic sewing pattern is the perfect base to start layering any outfit! The loose-fitting spaghetti-strap, A-line garment has some subtle gathers for lovely, flattering shaping and comfort.
The Talia dress and tunic is beautiful when finished off with the Talia Twist crop top, and can be worn shorter as a tunic or longer as a dress.
Skill Level – Beginner
Sizes – Pattern includes ladies’ sizes XXS to 5XL. See the size chart in the gallery above.
Options – Two lengths – tunic and knee-length dress
Ideas – Summer PJS! Makes a magnificent nightie in the longer length, or sleep top to pair with shorts in the tunic length.
Fabrics –Your fabric needs to be a stretch/knit fabric. It can be any weight, however, best results and fit will be achieved with a light to medium weight fabric. A fabric with 4-way stretch (stretches in all directions) will give more drape than a 2-way stretch (only stretches in one direction). Great examples are jersey, rayon, viscose, bamboo, ITY jersey, silk satin with elastine/lycra, and silk jersey with elastine/lycra. These will give you a lovely drape. Do not use a woven fabric.
See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.
Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
