Katie Weatherly –
This turned out to be a cute project. I have never made a backpack before and found the lining to be a bit fiddle.
Branka Čelić –
This backpack is so versatile, it can be kids backpack with funny characters, and adult, with plain fabric if you don’t want it to be funny. It requires a lot of patience, that’s why I ranked it intermediate, but if you have patience, a beginner can easily make it with clear instructions.
Samantha Burton –
I liked the ending result, but I definitely will be using batting and interfacing next time to make it sturdier. Fun to make and can’t wait to make the penguin version!
Julie McKinley –

Super easy pattern to sew up! All in one afternoon and I am still a beginner. I omitted the lining in my two pouches which would’ve given so much more structure to them, but I am still super happy and they were the perfect teacher’s day gifts for my daughter’s two teachers!

Really a lovely little sew & a great way to learn how to put in a zip for beginners. Excellent Christmas gift option.
Miranda Wee –
A very quick and simple sew. Good for beginners who are ready to tackle a zip! Finished piece is nice and versatile. I plan to use mine for my childrens wet bags for swimming. I’ve got lots of woven fabric in different colours but small pieces so this project is perfect for that. I also plan to make each child little coin pouch. You could even use the small one for a ‘tooth fairy bag’ (just thought of this idea now I want to go make some). The instructions are easy to follow because there are lots of pictures if you feel stuck.
Kelly Tuttle –
Very easy and straightforward directions- even a beginner can handle the zipper insertion because of the great instructions and pictures. And the zip pouch pattern itself is available in so many sizes, the uses for it are endless!
Randie Dodman –
Such a quick and easy sew! The zipper was a little bit tricky where the lining and outside join, but nothing that a little patience can’t fix.
Shirley Tan –
Very straightforward makes. I used lightweight interfacing for M size and it didnt give enough structure as I wanted so I will have to play around with other interfacing options and pouch sizes. It was so fun! Thank you.

I have been waiting for a zipper pouch pattern just like this! I love that it stands up by itself and comes in so many size options. I’m planning to use the largest size to wrap Christmas presents in this year. I also love that the pattern has the square cutouts so you don’t waste fabric when you square the corners. This was a fun, quick, satisfying sew.

Loved being able to produce something that looked so professional in such a small amount of time. I also loved that they can be made out of tiny amounts of fabric! My girls love them and have orders in for several different sizes. It’s a pattern I will definitely be coming back to time and again.

The Zoe Zips are “sew” much fun! I’ve only sewn zippers once with a sewing instructor standing by my side, and the instructions for the Zoe were perfect for adding a zipper. The pouches are quick to assemble, and are so much fun to gift (my 3 year old already claimed hers!). I can’t wait to sew more.
Janine Cochrane –
Super fun sew and with so many sizes there are endless options to make the perfect Zoe zip pouch
Chantal van Drunen-Ezendam –
Cute – Cuter – Cutest – Zoe Zip Bags. These bags are just adorable. And they are super easy to sew. The zipper might be a bit tricky for those that have not done zippers before, but with the instructions provided, everyone should be able to make these bags! I know what I will be making for christmas, end-of-schoolyear, birthday gifts!
Pamela Munnerlyn –
I loved sewing these bags. So much fun and so easy to do. I will be making lots of these in the future. I haven’t sewn many bags. The instructions were easy to follow and I enjoyed doing them.
Janet Payne –
Overall I would give this pattern an A, the thing that I would highly recommend (this is true on all patterns I have done so far of Rebecca Page) is to give more specific details on which way to fold. Example, the Tabs could say fold long sides with wrong sides together instead of fold tabs wrong sides together.
Jenna Page –
“Loved this make!
Quick, easy and a great scrap buster or use for fat quarters.
So versatile with the 5 different sizes, I will definitely be making lots more of these 💗”
Sheila Hlushak –
Love how these bags will stay open when unzipped. So nice to use.
Naomi Cash –
“This is such a great and versatile pattern. the 5 different sizes give you some great options, pretty easy to sew, and a great pattern to practice zips if you have never used them before! the clear instructions meant that i could sew one up pretty quickly.
I also made a tester version in spandex with no lining or interfacing, and i feel it would make a great swim bag!”

Quick, simple pattern, great range of sizes for heaps of handy pouches!

Zoe!! Easy, detailed instructions, multiple sizes to choose from and so fun to make! Add slip or zip pockets to the interior of the large or extra large and a crossbody strap and you have a gorgeous, fun day bag. Everyone can make a beautiful bag with this pattern!

“This pattern is perfect for using scraps, left over zippers and pieces of ribbon. Even concealed zippers in various lenght are good to use.
It is an easy and quick sew and a great gift.
Only one problem: it is addictive.”
Karla Henrichs –
I thought this pouch was easy to make and so much fun. I made some out if cotton, with cotton lining. I added fusible vinyl to three if them. This made it harder to turn, but I really liked the idea of water resistant. I also made one from pleather. It seems like a wide variety of material can be used.
Julie Allen Lovegrove –

“This is a fantastic scrap busting pattern, all of mine have been made out of left-over fabric from other projects.
Really easy to follow step by step instructions take you through to make a lovely lined pouch which can be used for a wide variety of needs. XS is handy size for a coin purse, S as a carrying case for tablets if you need to take medication out and about with you. M is handy for a make-up sized pouch – as is L (if you have lots of make-up). L and is also ideal for a toiletry bag. XL could be made into a handbag or use as a large toiletry bag.
Such a nice sew and quite addictive sew too! I have made 5 so far but have a few more cut out ready to sew 😊. Ideal for present ideas too, especially with Christmas just around the corner.
Happy Sewing “

A fairly easy pattern that gives really nice looking pouches! The small details around the zipper gives it a more professional look and the form of the pouch differs from many easier models. It’s so fun to see them finished, that it’s hard to stop making them! And the smallest one is adorable!
Lisa Selfe –
These zip pouches are amazing!!! They can be used for pretty much anything and everything, made all sizes for my sister who travels a lot for work to use for her things and she loves them!!!!

Chiara Kruse –
The perfect quick sew, scrap-busting gift for everyone.
Karen Thomas –
Love these pouches, good variety of sizes perfect to make as gifts and can be used for a wide variety of uses. The extra small would be ideal as a coin purse. The large is perfect for a make up bag and the extra large would be perfect as a toiletry bag. The style makes them inisex in that dependent on the fabric you use they can be masculine or feminine. I would recommend these to anyone wanted the perfect zipper pouch pattern
Amy Strawser –
The Zoe Zip Pouch is now my go to simple pouch pattern! It is quick and easy and with little details like the zip pulls it looks a little more refined. I just love the shape!
Sandy Simpson –
“What a lovely little pouch. The shape of it is a little different to your usual cosmetic bags etc.
I am not very experienced making bags, purses or pouches so I was a little anxious about making this particular one. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to put together. The instructions are detailed and concise and it was easy just to follow them and create a masterpiece.
The options for these pouches are limited only by your imagination. Great pattern.”
Laura Wheelis –
This is a great pattern and fairly easy to follow. I rank this pattern as intermediate mainly because the sewist needs good control of the machine, mine got a little thick at times with the layers and the zipper tab. The results were awesome and well worth the extra effort!
Irene Grimes –
This pattern is very exciting as it is simple to make and quick to complete! This was my first ever experience sewing a zipper and I was able to accomplish this easily thanks to the great insturctions. I am looking forward to making an entire set in every size!

They come out super quick and use so little fabric that you can use up your scraps for them! They are also great for upcycled fabric as well!
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
This is an amazing stash-buster! Each bag (except for the biggest size) can fit on a fat quarter for the exterior and a fat quarter for the lining. There is a size for everything: from a small tooth-fairy bag, to a large bag to pack shoes inside. You can use any kind of woven fabric. And the area around the zippers has such a professional finish with the optional zip tabs. Love, love, love!!
Shaina Mack –
I loved making these Zoe Zip pouches! Such a wonderful way to use up fabric scraps and put fun fabric combinations together. They were super fun to make and a quick sew. Absolutely loved making these, so simple and quick to make up, can see me making loads as gifts. the XL is very large and could have handles added and turned into a Tote bag, very versatile. Love them all 🙂
Sabrina Ropp –
These were so fast and easy, and incredibly versatile. Add some handles and you have a tote bag, line it with PUL and you can use it as a wet bag. Make a bag for loose toys, matchbox cars, pencils, markers, makeup, fabric scraps. I’m seriously using them for everything.
Alieke Enders –
Very nice pouches to make. Easy and fast pattern and very nice to get rid of your scraps of fabric that pile up in your closet. Also a nice gift to give away!
