You will need the original Kingston Jacket pattern to use this add on.
- If you already have the original denim jacket version, then grab this add-on and get started 🙂
- If you don’t have the original, get the Kingston Jacket plus Add-on bundle here
Skill Level – Advanced beginner upwards
Options – You can either use a serger for a quick finish, or there are instructions for an all traditional denim jacket finish with hidden seams on a sewing machine.
Sizes – Children’s sizes newborn to 12 years, ladies’ XXS to 5XL, and 18-inch doll
Fabrics – Denim for the body of the jacket is most suitable. However, any medium weight woven fabric will work, and many heavier weight woven fabrics will work too. Great options are: denim, stretch denim, bull denim, low-pile corduroy, cotton canvas, twill, or even an old pair of jeans up-cycled. The sleeves, hood and waistband for this add-on all need to be in a knit or stretch fabric.
If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.
See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.
Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
