This was my First Time Sewing The Kingston Jacket I was Very tempted to Overlock the seams but instead went for the Recommended Flat Felled Seams, This is a must to me the seams once i had got my head around them are so easy to do and they look really smart finished. This pattern was surprisingly manageable! I opted to sew the knit sleeves and hood with the side pockets. My 8 year old loves it and asked to wear it to school tomorrow. A huge win for this Mama sewist.

I made a jacket and so can you! The Kingston Jacket with Add On Knit Sleeve. Rebecca Page Patterns are so well written with great pictures and tutorials. There are many options with this jacket.

The KIngston jacket has been my most rewarding sew to-date so I was excited to see this add-on! It has many possibilities for changing the look of the jacket with the variety of pockets and the hood and sleeve options. I did a knit sleeve and hood and can absolutely see doing another one for my daughter! Great addition to an already awesome pattern!

I have been eyeballing this pattern since it was released! I’ve had something in my head to sew like this for my girls for QUITE some time, so this just made the perfect Christmas surprise for my daughter! I was a little intimidated, but the pattern is so well written, it really wasn’t as daunting as it seemed! I was super excited to learn some new sewing skills with this: the welted pocket – that just gave it such a smooth, professional-looking pocket, and it’s actually usable!; and then the cuffs – I’ve never made cuffs before, but they weren’t as difficult as I thought either!

I’m just over the moon with how well this pattern came together and the end results are just so sleek and fabulous! I can’t wait to make one for each of my girls and I think I’m going to HAVE to make myself one as well! Do yourself a favor and purchase this one! You definitely WON’T be disappointed!!”

Rebecca Page has done it again! This denim jacket pattern made a daunting task easy to accomplish. The instructions are so well written and lots of pictures that I knew what to do the whole way through. A determined beginner would be able to successfully make this jacket. The finish looked professional.
