Fabric
- Main and Lining - you will need a light weight woven or non stretch fabric for both the Main and Lining fabric. Cotton or quilting cotton are great options.
- OPTIONAL Christmas Tree Hat - If making the Christmas Tree Hat, you will need a jersey or rib band with a 20% stretch.
- Elf Hat Hemband - If making the Elf Hat, you will need a fleece fabric.
You will also need:
Christmas Tree Hat:
- OPTIONAL Trimming - approximately 2-5 yards will be sufficient for all sizes, depending on the number of rounds on the tree you would like.
- NOTE - Pompom tape, tassel tape, fringe, ric rac tape are all good options for the top stitch option.
- Star - You will need a small amount of stuffing like Polyfil or batting to stuff the inside. You could even use scraps of light weight fabric.
- Thread to match
Elf Hat:
- OPTIONAL Ears - You will need a small amount of stuffing like Polyfil or batting to stuff the inside. You could even use scraps of lightweight fabric.
- OPTIONAL 1/2 inch wide bias binding - approximately 2 yards will be sufficient for all sizes.
- NOTE - If making the bias binding, you will want to make 1 3/4 inch wide strips.
- Thread to match
Reindeer Headband:
- OPTIONAL Antlers - You will need a small amount of stuffing like Polyfil or batting to stuff the inside. You could even use scraps of lightweight fabric.
- Headband - elastic size
- 3/4 inch wide elastic - Sizes 1 to 4
- 1 inch wide elastic - Sizes 5 to 14
- Thread to match
Elf Ear Headband:
- OPTIONAL Elf Ears - You will need a small amount of stuffing like Polyfil or batting to stuff the inside. You could even use scraps of lightweight fabric.
- Headband - elastic size
- 3/4 inch wide elastic - Sizes 1 to 4

How do PDF/ digital patterns work? Simply download, print, and sew. You’ll need a free Adobe Acrobat reader program and any home printer (or a nearby copy shop for A0 printing). Once you’ve printed the pieces, tape or glue them together. You’ll find an easy-to-follow how-to guide inside the pattern instructions, plus support in our Facebook group.
The trim-free pattern comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes and includes full pattern pieces and a detailed tutorial to guide you every step of the way. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want/ need.
When will I get my patterns? You’ll receive a link to download your patterns immediately after purchase. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam/ junk folder. You can also find your patterns in your ‘My Account’ area..
