Delight in the whimsical wonder of this magical handsewn unicorn toy! This simply lovely pattern makes a unicorn, but if you leave off the horn you get a horse! Or you could even add some of the elements from the Dino-Dragon Toy for the weirdest and most wonderful creation you can think of!
This unicorn toy is one of the best adventurers around and makes an excellent bedtime snuggle buddy too! You stitch it together completely by hand! No sewing machine required.
Skill Level – Beginner
Sizes – Approximately 13 inches tall and 15 inches long from horn to tail
Options – Nearly all the features are optional (eyes, horn, ears, mane, tail) so you can make any unicorn, horse or fantastical creature you fancy.
Ideas – Mix and match elements with the Dino-Dragon Toy for the quirkiest creation around! Consider adding a heavy substance, such as sand, to create a magical doorstop; the perfect finishing touch to a nursery or bedroom.
Fabrics – You will not be finishing the edges, so you need a fabric that will not fray. Examples of this are felt, fleece, fake fur, leather, and wool suiting.
See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. This is a hand-sewing pattern and no machines are required.
Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
