Description

The Cerena childrens romper pattern can be sewn as a top or a romper! Wear the top loose and flowing, or make it as a romper and choose from 3 different trouser lengths. For beginners there’s an easy and quick plain back option, but if you’d like a trickier sew pick the beautifully-finished back button placket option! A pattern with something for everyone.

The Details:

Gallery  See images from Instagram below. Or view our full tester gallery on our Facebook Page here: Cerena

Sizes – Children’s sizes newborn to 12 years. See size chart in gallery for details.

Options – Top or romper. The romper has three length options (short, knee, and long) abd optional side seam pockets for knee and long length. The top option has an easy back or a trickier back button placket.

Skill Level:

  • In a woven fabric this is more of an intermediate sew and uses an invisible zip to fasten the trouser section. The top of the romper has a necktie and will require snaps or buttons to fasten the back.
  • In a knit/ stretch fabric this is a beginner sew and pulls on over the hips with no zip or openings on the trouser section. The top of the romper has a necktie and you can choose to have either a plain back or a placket with snaps or buttons to fasten.

Fabrics – This pattern is suitable for woven fabrics or knit/stretch fabrics.

If you use a fabric with a print or nap such as velvet, remember to cut all pieces in the same direction and to allow extra fabric for this.

See the fabric requirements in the gallery above for yardage. A serger/ overlocker is optional but NOT required.

Format – This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.
