Sunset quilt pattern is unique in design with its intertwining geometric lines and the opportunity to use many colors which blend together to create a fun and exciting quilt! This class gives step by step instructions making it easy to follow along with the pattern. The skill level needed for this class is experienced beginners to intermediate quilters. We will cover a few helpful techniques such as; cutting 45 degree angles with a ruler and rotary cutter, inset seams, and additional tips to assist you in creating this quilt. We will talk a little about color and learn how to create an additional tiny quilt or pillow from some scrap pieces created during construction. Supplies for the Geometric Quilt
- Printed Sunset Quilt Pattern
- 2x ¾ yards of assorted prints in various colors for strips in blocks
- 1x ⅔ yards of background fabric for blocks
- 1x ½ yards border fabric
- ⅔ yards of binding fabric
- 70” x 86” piece of batting
- 4x yards of backing fabric
- Sewing machine
- Iron and ironing board
- Rotary cutter and mat
- Rectangle clear ruler with a 45 degree angle
- Also useful but not required – a 6 inches or larger square clear ruler with the 45 degree angle marked
- Thread to match
