I made this tea set for my son. I’m not great at judging size and this turned out bigger than I expected – which is actually great as it’s a perfect size! The biscuits are very realistic. I even made up an extra biscuit so my son can play with his Pop’s favourite biscuit, an iced VoVo. I now love hand sew products so much – so relaxing to do while watching TV at night. – Liz Faber
A fun hand sew pattern, goes well alongside the Felt Food. I only made the cup and biscuits as they were the pieces my kids wanted. My kids are really enjoying the results, tea parties galore and lots of lovely imaginative play. – Nikki Eatwell
This was a joy to make. My youngest enjoys playing with it before I even finish. Still I can’t decide whether to give it to her or keep it for myself since I love tea sets. – Donna Lowe
You can use different stitches, trims, and bedazzles to decorate your tea set, or leave them as simple as you like. Make them up in realistic colours or go as weird and wonderful as your Madhatter heart desires…
The Handsew Teatime Set pattern is perfect for any wovens in your stash that won’t fray, as you won’t be finishing the edges. Felt is an excellent option and will hold the shape beautifully. There’s a full list of supplies and fabric requirements in the gallery to the left (scroll through the photos).
