I LOVE this pillow pattern. I’ve made three dinos and my grandkids thought they were absolutely wonderful. Next, I’ll be tackling some with the dragon option. Those wings!!!

  2. Beth Partian

Made it yesterday and it is already a favorite. What a wonderful and quick sew.

  3. Susan Anderson

This pattern was so much fun! I love all the options. It makes it very easy to make it just the way you want. I can’t wait to make more. The directions were easy to follow making the dragon a simple project!

  4. Kelly Davis

Great pattern! Directions easy to follow, and loved the fabric options for the pattern. My boy’s loved their pillows!!

  5. Karin Williams

This is a lovely pattern with endless possibilities. Make a dinosaur or a dragon, or why not a dragosaur?! I would probably rate the pattern advanced beginner, or possibly confident beginner rather than just beginner.

  6. An Staute

Very fun sew where you can be very creative with! The perfect gift too!

  7. Brittney McCann

This pattern was easy to follow and easy to sew up! The option for either a dragon or dinosaur is very nice; it’s like getting two patterns in one.

  8. Malorie McClennon

Fun cute way to boost your sewjo and make a little one happy. Easy to customize and a great way to use up scraps.

  9. Jennifer Galea

I really liked this pattern. my boy is in love with it. its been hard to get pics because HE ALWAYS HAS IT AND WONT LET ANYONE TOUCH IT. The only thing I would say is perhaps add some more info on placement of the dino spikes how many etc. Not a deal breaker because you can always use your own creativity

  10. Debra Rigsby

This is a great sew if you want a way to improve sewing curved lines, at least the dino version. Very easy, just read the directions and follow them carefully.

I made the Dino Pillow for my dino-loving daughter, and she loves it! Construction was easy and the directions were clear. I would recommend using regular poly-fill to stuff it. I used shredded poly-foam and it ended up looking a little lumpy. The pillow is adorable though and has a ton of options to customize it!

I found this such a lovely and easy pattern! I was so glad because between Easter and all the madness of April, it was quick to whip up for a friends little baby boy. I chose to make the dinosaur with complementing blue fabrics but used felt for the spikes, toes and facial features which I had stitched on as I’m not a fan of sewing such small things with my machine.
I will definitely be making another of these soon as we have now got some baby boys around us.

  13. Kirsten Welch

What a fun sew! I loved all the options to really make this a personalized gift! You can make it simple or really go all out on this!

  14. Erika Alvarez-Darby

I love it! It’s so easy anyone can make it and make a little boy or girl extremely happy!

  15. Karla Holmes

My son is obsessed with Dinosaurs! SO when I saw this I know it would be the perfect gift for him. Its an easy sew but very rewarding. I’m gonna have to make a few more of this for birthdays! Love it.

  16. Dani Arthur

A simple sew that is so easy to personalise and make in so many styles! I really enjoyed this simple sew with not too much to print, my 7 year old son even chose fabrics, planned where the spikes would go and cut most of it out! I love that just choosing to stuff it more or less can mean you can make it a pillow or a toy and that it can be a dinosaur, a dragon or a hybrid of both! Perfect birthday present idea for that dino lover in your life!

  17. Michelle Wellstead

What a wonderful free pattern! My grandson loved the finished product. It was my first ever softie/pillow and was a little more fiddly than I thought but I love a challenge and love to try new techniques so was a lot of fun to do. All fabrics were from my stash as well so a great stash buster, I even sewed most of it on holidays in my caravan. All in all a fabulous free pattern with so many variations, an absolute joy to make.

  18. Tiffany J Allen

I love this pattern, it was such fun to plan the fabric choices and create a unique version for myself. I was inspired by the last season of Game of Thrones so I chose some textured upholstery fabric and a vinyl which turned out fabulous!

  19. Nikki McCarty

Such a cute pillow, but it reminds me of why I hated making stuffed animals in Home Ec! It comes together quickly, the pieces are easy to manage, it takes minimal fabric and my kids love it, but I probably won’t make it again.
