Fabric - You will need woven or non-stretch fabric for the Doll bodies, Clothing, Hair, Cat/Dog bodies, and Angel Wings. Cotton or quilting cotton, medium or light weight denim, or flannelette are great options. TIP - Fuzzy fabrics that look like your pet can also be used. Detail Fabrics - These are the fabrics for the little details on the Dolls (e.g. the Glasses, the Cat/Dog nose, etc). The edges of these are not finished so we recommend a non fraying fabric such as felt. You will need assorted colors in scrap size. Many stores sell felt packs, or it is a great one to raid your stash for. Stuffing, poly-fil for stuffing inside the finished dolls. Make sure to use a filling which is non-flammable, and age & safety appropriate for the person who will be using or receiving the the doll. The amounts listed below are for sewing one piece. Multiply the total by the number of pieces you would like to create. You can use any colors you like.
You will also need: 
  • Ultra-firm heavyweight stabilizer e.g. Peltex 72F or Vilene S133. Approximately 1/4 yard is enough for the Angel Wings.
  • Human Eyes - Choose One
    • OPTIONAL - Safety Eyes
    • OPTIONAL - Heat Transfer Vinyl
    • OPTIONAL - 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide Buttons x 2
    • OPTIONAL - Paint or Fabric Marker
    • OPTIONAL - Felt x1 9x12 inch sheet
    • OPTIONAL - Embroidery Floss
  • Cat/Dog Eyes - Choose One
    • OPTIONAL - Safety Eyes
    • OPTIONAL - Heat Transfer Vinyl
    • OPTIONAL - 1/2 to 3/4 inch Button x 2
    • OPTIONAL - Paint or Fabric Marker
    • OPTIONAL - Adhesive Felt x 1 9x12 inch sheet
  • OPTIONAL Fusible Webbing e.g. Pellon 805, Wonder-Under, 'heat-n-bond', 'bondaweb', fusible web, or iron on adhesive. You will need this if you are making the Human Dolls. Approximately 1 yard will be sufficient for one doll. Alternatively, you can use fabric glue to stick pieces down.

FAQs

How do PDF/ digital patterns work? Simply download, print, and sew. You’ll need a free Adobe Acrobat reader program and any home printer (or a nearby copy shop for A0 printing). Once you’ve printed the pieces, tape or glue them together. You’ll find an easy-to-follow how-to guide inside the pattern instructions, plus support in our Facebook group.

The trim-free pattern comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes and includes full pattern pieces and a detailed tutorial to guide you every step of the way. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want/ need.

When will I get my patterns? You’ll receive a link to download your patterns immediately after purchase. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam/ junk folder. You can also find your patterns in your ‘My Account’ area..

What if I need help while sewing? Join our Facebook group and ask any and all the questions you have! We have a team of admins who know our patterns inside-out and are here to help at any point throughout your RP sewing experience.
