The dreamy drape top is a very well explained sew with beautiful results. Beginner sewists should not be intimidated by this pattern, and I love that you do not need a serger to sew this! Advanced beginners can knock this out very quickly for a gorgeous last minute shirt.
Tracy Lynn –
I started doubting my option of the lower neckline and the diagonal hem. I ended up loving the hem. I’m still not crazy about the lower neckline so I accessorize with a scarf. Just a personal preference. Turns out it wasn’t for me. Love the sleeves! In fact, that’s what I’ve been complimented on when I wear it. Super comfy top. The tutorial is easy to follow and the top comes together quickly.
Tracy Lynn –
Perfect pattern! Fast and easy to sew. I love it for casual or chic looks.
lim boon kuan –
i love it! i sized down from my usual Medium as most of the patterns r on the generous side for me, and i did not want the bat wings too extensive for ease of movement. Small fits great. fast easy sew which turns out looking awesome.
Yulia Shikhova Korinnyi –
This is one of the most sophisticated pattern I have tried and I am in love with my new dress.
Ellin Selkirk –

Ana Inês Barros –
It’s too amazing to describe with words. Just sew it and wear it. It’s fabulous <3
Susan Anderson –
I love the dreamy drape. It is a great patter for a quick sew that always looks great. I love that it is forgiving so it will make the perfect outfit for Holiday celebrations.
Meghan Rose –
I made the Dreamy Drape because my daughter saw a mommy and me picture of it and demanded we do the same. Initially, I wasn’t that stoked because I didn’t think it would look great on me, but it does, and it’s super comfortable too. It was a cinch to sew, with my only change being that I didn’t have enough fabric for the back in one piece, so I put a seam there instead. And now I have a outfit that’s comfy as pajamas, but I can wear outside the house, and match with my kid 🙂
Lisa Lazenby –
I made this and a Peggy Pencil from cut to finish one night to wear to work the next day! It’s a quick sew and when done in the right fabric, has amazing drape. It’s a beautiful staple garment. Love this pattern.
Lisa Bond –
I really struggle with oversized garments, but couldn’t resist sewing up the Dreamy Drape in the Floral bright fabric. I love it, I added some simple pocket to add some detail. Will defiantly be making up the Dreamy Drape add on – in the dress!!
Kristin Rohde –

Kaorlanne Charest –

Jackie Henderson –
I am finally getting the hang of knits!! This was a “dream” to sew up using a serger. The style is on point and my college girl loves it. I still prefer woven fabric but RP is making it easy to gain confidence with knit!
Debra R –
I had this done in less than an hour, and it was my first one. This pattern will sure to show up when I need a quick baby shower gift.
Cordelia Henderson –

Ellen Valarida –
I love how quickly this pattern comes together! So comfortable and took me 2 hrs to cut and sew.
Kyra Delaney –
This was my first time sewing up the pattern. I ended up adding width to my front panel before cutting the pattern pieces out and love how it turned out. I love how trendy the shirt looks and stands out from my normal makes for my kids. I used a less drapey knit (cotton lycra) and love how it turns out. I love how Rebecca’s patterns are so simple to follow and this one is no exception.
Shelby Chubb –
This pattern came together lovely without the usual headaches that I tend to encounter with my skill level (beginner on knits). The instructions are easy to follow and I LOVE the pdf pattern layout for cutting!
This pattern is absolutely perfect for those in between seasons with a flowy, light feel but still coverage from any chills. I sewed this up for my toddler in the 18-24M size and it fit her perfectly. In RTW clothes she’s 3T so paying attention to the sizing chart for the pattern is important. I cut the 3/4 length sleeves, but on my daughter they are basically full sleeves.
Although it’s super cute and fits her well, I’d likely either lengthen the skirt or wait until she’s a little older to make another dress or skirt version as the skirt tends to hike up a lot, even with the walking vent. My toddler is way too busy climbing and exploring and her underwear area is very much on view while wearing this dress.
Ummul Masakin –
super easy sew and i love the style on my kids!
Lucy Lloyd –

Laura Wheelis –

Katie –
Sewing this top is a piece of cake! I love how simple it is, but the lines have big impact. It’s flowy and incredibly comfortable to wear, just perfect in brushed hacci. There’s a lot of roominess in the shape, so this is also a pattern I feel comfortable making as a gift when I don’t have exact measurements.
Gwen Geitgey –
This pattern is beautiful! The batwing is just the right amount. The fitted sleeve at the bottom helps balance the looseness of the batwing out.
Chris M Shapiro –
What a fun pattern. Fun to sew and so fun to wear! The drape of this top is perfect to pair with slim pants, leggings and pencil skirts! The lower sleeves are so fun. They wear like tall cuffs. I’m loving this pattern!
Bonnie Riley –
Love, love, love this pattern – it’s quick, easy, comfortable, and so darned cute. I’ve made three so far – for two daughters and one for a granddaughter, and there will definitely be more! It’s the perfect pattern for double-brushed poly.
Beth Partain –
I like how this turned out although while I fell right in all of the medium measurements it did feel a little to roomy and when I make this in the future I will size down.
Annick Campenaerts (An Ca) –
This sweater doesn’t only look comfortable, it also fits like that! It’s like walking in your pajamas. There will be many more!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern. Love how super easy it is to make. From cut to finish was 30 minutes!!! Have already made 2 so far and plans for many more.
Karla Holmes –
I love this pattern, it is the most beautiful batwing pattern there is. I made mine using a thin sweater knit and it came super nice. With this pattern you can achieve several looks from basic to casual to a date night worthy all depending on your fabric choice. If you are looking for a diverse pattern this is it.I highly recommend his to beginner sewers too.
Jennifer Reeves –

Angel Pooley –
I’m so obsessed with this pattern, so stylish!! This is my new fav top!! Super quick sew. I chose the no sleeve and waistband option! As a beginner I struggle with neckbands but i will get better at those but this is still great even though I’m not the best seamstress. Thanks RP team!
Tiffany Amos –
I don’t know who named the wonderful pattern but the name says it all . Perfect for anyone . If you are going for a flirty girl look to a casual semi dressy this is the pattern for you . It’s simply a dress . Super comfy and flattering I love it . I received so many compliments .
Cara Girven –
Such a quick and fun sew! With different options for the bottom, sleeves, and neckline, you can make this pattern over and over. Lovely in nice drapey fabrics like rayon spandex or bamboo or even a light sweater knit. Instructions are clear and easy to follow with lots of photos. This pattern is perfect for a beginner sewist!
Jennifer Lichak –

The Dreamy Drape is a quick, satisfying sew with a unique look. It can be made in fancy fabric for a dress-up look or in T-shirt fabric for everyday wear. It is so nice and flowy and feels great on.
Stephanie Springer Leddy –
This was such a quick, straightforward sew! I love that it is super flattering on my baby bump and will continue to be flattering post-pregnancy. The length is great as I can wear with either jeans or leggings. One of my favorite RP patterns to date.
Laurel Tompkins –
I absolutely love this pattern, the finished garment is so comfortable! I made one that’s quite a smart top with long sleeves and is great for going out for a meal or similar, but I’m also planning to make a lighter flowy one with no sleeves for the summer as an everyday top. I could also see it being a really cosy jumper if you made it out of a chunky knit or French terry. The pattern was easy to follow with detailed instructions, and I’m really looking forward to making more!
Alice Meyers –
The Rebecca Page Dreamy Drape Top was an easy sew. Lots of sleeve options! I used a double brushed poly (DBP) for that dreamy-drape look. A must have in the pattern collection.
Eline Ghesquiere –
As always, a very well written manual. I just found the pattern really tight around my arms. The sweater sits just phantastic!
Katharine Smith –
I love this pattern! So easy to sew up in a day. Comfy. Stylish, can’t go wrong!
Sally Partridge –
What a great pattern. I needed something to wear over an evening dress, as the day was a bit cool. I found some stretch black lace, which enabled me to be warmer, without covering up the red dress entirely. An easy morning sew to remedy the problem.
