Such a quick and easy sew, a great pattern for making everyday clothes a bit more interesting. So many possibilities with different fabric types-you’ll want to make more than 1! Also getting lots of random compliment from strangers and being able to say I made it!

It’s so fun to place the cowl in many ways!!!! I love it!!! 🙂

Great, well written pattern that fits well. And – a stylish shirt that’s super cozy! Wore it out to run errands tonight and it was so cozy…especially here, where it was -30 tonight, it was awesome to have the hood/cowl out over my coat.
Meredith Simmons (verified owner) –
It’s so easy and so comfortable, and depending on the fabric you use, you can get so many different uses out of it! No complicated seams. It took me about four hours from cutting out the fabric to completion both times I made it.
Saar Mertens (verified owner) –
It’s a well explained pattern with great results… And seeing my son cuddle the hood because he likes it so much!
Patricia Rushton (verified owner) –
This was a fun and easy pattern to do and my grandkids have already asked for a top each.
Jen Vincilione (verified owner) –
I sized down to make the hoodie a little more fitted and it worked out wonderfully, so now I have a pattern that can be a fitted or relaxed hoodie!

Extremely easy to sew and super comfortable. I like how polyvalent this look is. Amazing pattern!

I loved that I could sew this entire shirt on my serger no fussy knit hems. I am going to be on the look out for more fabric to make a few more of these for this winter.
Sabrina Ropp (verified owner) –
This shirt was easier than it looked, the only slightly tricky bits were the set in sleeves and making sure the cowl wasn’t on backwards. Once you’ve mastered those, you will be a cowl making machine! This shirt can be made from all kinds of stretch fabrics from warm and cozy fleece to a slinky jersey knit for a dressier look.

The clear instructions and great drafting insure excellent results. I love the cowl neckline adds great design feature and another opportunity to use a coordinating fabric.

I am very pleased with how this turned out and have had several friends either ask where I got the pattern, or if I will make one for them. The grade from waist to hip is quiet flattering.
I also really enjoy how simple the pattern instructions are. The photographs are much more user-friendly that the traditional illustrations you usually see in pattern packages. I also appreciate having the ability to print only my size, as a time saver.

The Comfy Cowl is exactly that – comfy!! I’ve had this pattern for quite some time, but just hadn’t found the time to make it up. But I will definitely be finding the time now, and I won’t need a lot of it (time that is)!! This pattern was very simple and super quick to put together – even for a beginner knit sewer like myself. Will definitely be making many more, both for myself, and my kids. Highly recommend giving this pattern a go!

Quick easy sew with a comfy hood/cowl neck that is quick up and down. Makes me want to snuggle in.

This was a super easy make that looks good in a variety of fabrics. I made mine in a light loop-back sweater knit, and I love wearing it! Overall it was a very easy make and the instructions were great and easy to follow, as usual for RP patterns.
Nikki McCarty (verified owner) –
Just like the name implies, this top is comfy! I love that it goes together quickly (and all bands means no hemming) and the cowl can double as a hood. I’ve been wearing it almost non stop since I made it and it’s been wonderful as the weather cools down.
Keeley Jones (verified owner) –
Love the cowl hood on this pattern! It for sure lives up to its name, very comfy, very cozy! The instructions are really easy to follow and the finished product looks very professional.
Kelsey Metoxen (verified owner) –
I found this pattern incredibly easy and such a quick sew! From cutting to finish it was about an hour and half. The instructions are so clear and easy to follow along. Having the inset sleeves also makes for a quick and easy construction with a great fit. The fit is loose but not baggy and hits the right curves. I will be wearing mine often!

The Comfy Cowl pattern is the perfect cool weather pattern. I love the over-sized hood. It is very cozy and adds extra warmth to a traditional hoodie style. It’s great for lounging in. The cowl is like a warm blanket to snuggle in while enjoying a warm beverage. It’s also great for when you have to step outdoors. You can cover your head and face to keep the wind out. It’s like a built in scarf. I’ve already made two and see a third in my near future. It’s a quick sew and easy to follow pattern.

This was my very first Rebecca Page purchase and it got me hooked on the brand! I have used it now for both of my sons and my daughter as well as several gifts. This pattern will be getting a lot of use! The instructions were clear and easy to follow as well.

Such a fun and easy sew! The instructions were clear and helpful, the pattern pieces were well labeled, and everything came together perfectly!

Literally the quickest and comfiest pattern! I’m not a big hoodie fan but the comfy cowl is very flattering. I love that the cowl can be used as a big hood also adding to the comfiness. The instructions are very clear very helpful to a beginner or someone who is a bit intimidated by sewing a hood – I love it!
Brehan Adcock –
I LOVE this hoodie!!! I lined mine with super soft baby rib and it’s so luxurious feeling! The hood has some weight when worn as a cowl and that makes it extra snugly.
It’s such a favorite in my house, sometimes my husband steals it lol.
After printing and cutting the pattern, it took just under an hour to cut and assemble the fabric.
I gave my picky niece one for Christmas and she requested another one from thermal knit for her birthday.

You need this pattern! You will want the men’s, ladies, and the kids sizes as soon as you make one! This was a super quick and easy make! A very beginner friendly pattern. It took me less time to sew it than it took to put the pattern together and cut my fabric! Such a comfortable easy sew! Once you sew one you will want to sew one for everyone in your household!
Katie Kennedy (verified owner) –
This is a straightforward pattern with great results! Both the written instructions and the photos are easy to follow along and there are some good tips for beginners along the way, so no one should feel intimidated to sew this. My only change was to blend between two sizes and I followed the size charts to make this decision. My hoodie fits exactly as planned!

Love the cowl neck as a feature, places it in different positions completely changes the style of the jumper. From slightly more formal to very casual. Easy sew and well explained.

I really love this pattern! I’ve made it multiple times out of sweater knits to keep me warm in the cold MN winters! I’m already planning a lighter weight Comfy Cowl for spring as well!

My son and husband have been enjoying the Comfy Cowls I made them so now it was my turn. This didn’t disappoint. I love how the pieces went together so easily. Minus the time it took to iron and switch machines, this was a super fast sew. I went out of my comfort zone with some color and pattern choices and I love the results.
