Kat Churchill –
Simple and easy to follow pattern. Lots of choices for different fabrics for different looks. The french seams challenged my brain as I had to unpick twice as I am so used to RST.
Frieda Flavianu –
Very straight forward, quick and easy to sew with great fit. Can’t wait to make more of these.
Franchesca Delgado Garced –
I loved the simplicity, yet versatility of this pattern. I put it together very quickly. This time I used a blush lightweight fabric that I could use as a day or night outfit, depending how I style it, but I plan to make a sporty one next with side trim. Amazing!
Pamela Munnerlyn –
I loved it. So easy to make and the instructions were so easy to follow. I love the way they fit and look. Great sew for anyone that wants a quick pair of paints.
Tomorrow Hughes Papaleo –
This was such a simple and quick sew. I was able to complete the sewing portion in just a few hours after work one evening. They are super comfortable and really cute. They can be pretty versatile as day wear, lounge wear, or activewear just depending on the fabric you choose. I plan to make plenty of these!
Stephanie Springer Leddy –

Katie Kennedy –
The Celine Trousers are a great slouchy pants pattern. I love the elasticized ankle cuffs, they look so cute with anything from sandals to tennis shoes. This is an easy sew (with fab French seams instructions!) and a great introduction to pants since they are a relaxed fit and thus don’t require a lot of fitting adjustments.
Catherine Murdock –
I enjoyed this pattern , I like the French seams & that there is the serger finish option in the instructions also.
Heidi Gray –
Super easy, super fast!! Loved how quickly I could sew it up.
Nikki Eatwell –
This is a fantastic versatile pattern. So easy to sew up. I’ve made 3 pairs already & it will be a pattern I come back to again. Adding ribbed cuffing to the ankle makes a nice soft finish & they can be adapted into lounge pants.
Angel Pooley –
This pattern is just amazing! My first pair of trousers went swimmingly and I have a feeling I’ll be making a lot more. Only thing I fight with is the elastic threading through waistband and ankle cuffs. Thank you so much! One of my favs x
Jana Houskova –

Manuela Zender –
Beautiful and easy pattern. Fast to sew. My daughter loves her pants and i have to sew her more. The only thing i would like to see is that the celine gets pockets.
I sewed the pants out of a rayon fabric ist light and flattering.
Debbie Prince –
I’ve never made pants before, I was always worried, not anymore. this pattern was so easy and simple that it took me just over an hour to finish them completely. I must admit I do love using French seams. My daughters will have a wardrobe full of Celine Pants lol xx
Magda Rindmo –
An easy pattern to make, all done in a naptime 🙂 I like the elastic on the ankles. Practical and gives the pattern an lively, puffy look. I will make more of these 🙂

Agnes Robinson –
I love this pattern and it is so easy to make. My son lives in track suites and now I can make some soft or lovely patterned ones for him. My daughter would like some too. I may have to get the ladies as well.
Jane Hand –
First time I have ever made any type of trousers and I’m proud and relieved because the pattern was really simple and straightforward. I am 5”8 so I found the leg length a little short for me but I’m already finishing off another pair so I will lengthen them an inch or two. I often find trousers are short bodied for me so I was a little worried I would have to adjust them, but they fit fine, no adjustment needed. I made my first pair in a cotton blend fabric and they were a little structured, I’ve just made a second pair in viscose and they drape so much better. Really clear instructions, a lovely pattern to follow.
Irene Grimes –
Love these pants! They came together very quickly. In just a couple of hours, you have a brand new pair of trousers that can be dressed up or toned down for any occasion. The pattern is very easy to follow with step-by-step illustrated instructions. I will definitely make many more of these!
Shelley Harris –
A really simple but effective pattern, suitable for beginners and with a wide range of opportunity for fabric type choices. From comfy pants to smart pants depending on your choices. This would be great for including your own additions be it pockets, trims or anything else you can think of to give it your own style twist.
My little model loves them, she said they are really comfortable and didnt want to take them off! I used brushed cotton and french seams.
Lisa Corriveau –
The Celine pants worked up quick! I used a synthetic non-stretch technical fabric that I got from a local nonprofit textile recycling initiative, so I’m not sure of the exact fibre content. It ended up fraying REALLY easily, so I really appreciated the French seams on the pants. I made a size 5-6 based on his waist measurement, then the length a 9-10 based on his height. The fit is perfect for my lanky nine-year-old son, but it is a style that fits above the ankle bone, so if you want your bean sprout to be able to wear them for longer, make them in a size up in length. He’s quite pleased with the simplicity of them, they’re super easy to pull on & off. I’ll definitely be making more of these & I love that the pattern works for non-stretch woven fabrics too.
Gabriella Hägglund –
The Celine pants are perfect for beginners that want to try french seams – and do try, the result is so satisfying. The fit is good to, maybe a little loose-fit
Vicky Hughes –
Lovely easy sew, easy to follow instructions. Think they could become a wardrobe staple
Dési Rée –
Awesome and super easy pattern. Can be made into sophisticated pants or just comfortable every day pants
Shaina O’Dell –
I made a pair for my son from linen and they are nice for these semi-cool days. They would also be nice in ripstop nylon. Very versatile!
Jenna Page –
My first time making trousers and an all round lovely experience!
Fit guides and instructions amazing as always. First time using elastic and jumped right into the waist band and cuffs, no bother at all. May need a little practice with ‘stitching the ditch’ but all in all a quick simple sew with perfect results! Will wear my Celine’s with pride, thanks for another great sew and more technique to add to my bag of tricks!
Ps my second sew with French seams, they are the best. Perfect professional finish ?
Jamie Adler –
Super quick trousers to sew. I sewed the pants in one afternoon and then shortened them to sew some longer shorts for our 10 year old daughter. She loves her trousers. Thanks for this go-to pattern!
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
This is the most amazing pattern! It is so versatile. Make it with wovens or knits. Turn it into athletic pants or something dressy It is perfect for both boys and girls, and it is so great for churning out a wardrobe fast! (Anyone else have the problem of your kids suddenly having no pants that fit?) Also, the instructions are amazing. It is so easy to grade between sizes and solve the “skinny, but tall” problem that is the reason my younger kids can’t fit into RTW pants. Plus, it is so comfy that my kiddos reach for it first every time 🙂
Ángel Pooley –
Amazing sew! My first pair of trousers and I felt so blessed to do them in 2 days (quickest project I’ve done) I will be sewing LOADSSS of these.
Shannan Gaughan –
I like these pants! The ankle could be tighter but otherwise they fit pretty well. Once my son put them on, it was hard to get him to take them off!
Randie Rae Dodman –
I love this pattern! So ridiculously easy. The most complicated part is the drawstring. And, if you use the elastic that has the drawstring in it, no problem! I added pockets, because pants need pockets. I think pockets would still work with the trim, you would just need to be careful. Thanks for such an awesome, easy, versatile pattern!
Nali Nali –
The Celine pants is gorgeous – comfortable and stylish. And did I mention it’s really easy to sew! I do like the elastic cuff which gave it a sporty look. For the side trims, I used corded bias tape. Pair with a matching top and I am ready to go partying in this outfit ! Definitely going to sew a few more.
Pam OFlynn –

Josianne Gauthier-Mireault –
This is such a quick and easy sew. It’s fun to have a quick pants pattern on hand like this one!
Clare Bowes –
Celine is a really easy to sew pattern, I usually opt for the French seams, but for these (I was impatient) I opted for normal sewing then overlocked the seams to finish them off.
Great step by step instructions keep you on track for a great pair of pants that can be made for casual or formal wear. I made mine in a Polycotton, with bias binding for the contrasting stripe.
So comfy to wear, especially if you don’t like tight waist bands (I can’t wear fitted waist bands at moment) and these are perfect for me as they are relaxed fit, so not tight around my hips.
Give them a go, perfect for a beginner to sew up, and if you haven’t tried French seams before the instructions include all the steps to follow, so boost your sewing skill level by trying them.
Happy sewing ?
Suzi Nasoor –
Super easy sew, love the fit, similar to woven joggers, my boy loved it..

Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
This is a great beginner sew, especially for sewing with wovens. It’s a fun sew, quick, with a beautiful result.
Nadine Simard –
I liked the construction of the Celine, all seams enclose. It was a fairly quick project even if french seams are used. I liked the that the kids version could be used for boys or girls.
Amy Kaczenski –
Beautiful fitting pants and super comfy!
Anna –
Simple, fast sew. Easy to add pockets.
Michelle Wellstead –
My first sewn pants ever and these sewed up like a dream, cant believe how easy they were to sew. Fit wasn’t a problem because of the elasticised waist and now I can’t wait to make up more in some plain linen colours, perfect for summer days.
Karen Rai –
The minute I put on these pants, I felt like I needed to throw out some Hip Hop moves. Super comfortable and secure feeling. I had also been searching for a great pattern for ladies rain pants and this pattern works perfectly! Such a money saver since adult rain pants can be so costly. Definitely recommend this pants pattern.
Haneke Peeters –
Absolutely loved sewing up this pattern! The instructions were super clear and well written, easy for any beginner to understand. It was my first time sewing with a woven fabric and I am so super happy with the results!
Stephanie Koehler –
Love, Love, Love so easy from putting the pattern together, to cutting and sewing. What a great beginner pattern. I love the accent strip down the side. I hacked mine with some inset pockets to be able to keep the side seam. I made it with a suiting material that kind of dresses it up but how the pattern is drafted they are so comfy.
Janine Tanya Cochrane –
Lovely quick sew, great for up cycling some preloved adults pants
Diana Holberg –
What a simple pattern to put together! Lots of different materials could be use for totally different looks. It’s a nice relaxed comfy pants.
Stephanie Springer Leddy –
These were a quick and straightforward sew – definitely beginner friendly! Instructions are easy to follow and they are super comfy. I got several compliments on them the first time I wore them 🙂
Virginia Leo –
Super easy sew! Maybe to easy, because I managed to sew the waistband on with the back seam in the front and then proceeded to put them on backwards!!?They were pretty snug in the back & huge in the front, but it was late and I just went to bed, then woke up around 2 & DUH! I took the waistband off the next day and shortened the rise 2″ all the way around and now they fit perfect!! When I found the green fabric I knew that they needed to be pajama pants and they are the most comfortable I have ever had.
Becca Stradling –
The Celine Trousers are a fun and easy sew. They are perfect for a beginner but I still learned a couple new things about fitting and sewing techniques.
Manuela Zender –
Beautiful pattern. Its fast and easy to sew. The pants are comfortable. I made 2 one in a Rayon fabric where the legs are very wide and one in a size smaller out ofnknit fabric.
Perfect pattern for beginner.
Donna Lowe –
This is a very easy pattern. It’s perfect for lounge wear, sportwear or everyday wear. It is comfort and I probably be making more.
Kyra –
“If you’re looking for woven pants with elastic these are great. The elastic is an inch wide so while it might be harder to thread it in hoping it’s less likely to twist in the casing. The steps are easy to follow and I love the final result.
I used decorative quilting cotton on mine so they look more like pajama pants to me but based on what you use these can be used for so many occasions. “
Cindi Connors –

The comfy fit makes these good pants for yoga or the treadmill. Made mine from lightweight twill. Really need the no bottom elastic option so purchasers can see what they would look like without. And pockets, not many want to wear or go to the trouble to make pants without pockets.
Tiffany Amos –
I love this pattern . This is a fun make and also one of the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever made . My favorite part of the Celine is the drawstring option and the elastic cuffed legs . This allows an easy transition from causal to dressy . I love them .
Erin Jo –
Great pattern! Easy construction, great fit! *tip: make sure to check the pattern directions for height adjustments, if you have longer legs, to get the best fit for your body type! You’ll love them!
Anusha –
Super quick and easy pattern . Will be making more of these.
SSeem Sing –
Very easy sew! Love the pattern
Tania Vervaeke –
First of all the fit of the pants… My girl is in the lower parts of both width and length, so she has more than place enough to grow. I think when I’ll make it a second time I’ll drop a size.
This was my first time doing a french seam, but it was well explained in the instructions. Maybe it would be an idea to say the ankle elastics are ‘optional’ too, as both my husband and daughter prefer pants without ankle elastics.
Alisha Sparks Adams –
Love these! I’ve had a piece of satin in my stash waiting to become pajamas and Céline was prefect. The French seaming added the prefect touch of luxury to these trousers. I’m going to be cozy all winter in these.
Catherine Champagne –
I loved to sew celine and fit is very cosy and comfortable. Fast To sew.
