They are so cute! Love the paperbag waist. Wish the fit on the baby size was a little shorter and more flared in the leg as they look a teeny bit awkward in baby sizing, but love the look on the older girls.
Kristen Wilson –
The Piper shorts are our new summer favourite. The elastic waist makes them easy for young girls to get on and off easily. They are dressy yet fun. My daughter says they are so comfy to wear.

This pattern was such a quick sew. I love that everything has enclosed seamwork and with the baggy fit they allow for lots of freedom movement for my little girl to climb and play.
Jenny Gomez –
I was intimidated by the paper bag option, but wanted to challenge myself. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’m impressed that I was able to make such a stylish garment…and it has pockets!
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
I really liked this sew. The instructions were great and following each step resulted in a cute pair of shorts. They may be challenging for a beginner with the pleats and zip but are a really fun intermediate sew.
Dora Serrano –
Piper paper pants/shorts is quite an amazing pattern. Choose your fabric wisely, measure and remeasure yourself because it will be worth it. If you get the fit right, this pattern will be a staple in your wardrobe. With a good size range, two available waistbands and lengths, optional side vent… this pattern instructions guide you all through the way till you get it done… which will be sooner than you think!

These shorts are super cute! I think they’re great for someone who has a bit of sewing under their belt. The French seams were fun and putting in the zipper was a bit tricky! Overall, I really enjoyed putting them together!

I love this pattern.it was a super easy quick sew. My daughter loves wearing them and wants me to make more. I plan on making them as pants with a thicker fabric in winter. I also want to make some up for me for the summer. I would recommend this pattern to anyone looking for a short or pant pattern.

Another fab pattern with very clear instructions and pics to show each step. The Piper shorts are finished beautifully on the inside with french seams, plus a serger option for those who wish for a speedier sew. Ealasticated backs and flat fronts on the child sizes are the perfect option for fast-growing children! 4 pairs made already and I know there will be more!
