This pattern makes a great Henley shirt! Once you finish the placket the rest of the shirt is a breeze! Take the placket slow and it will turn out nicely!

A henley is a wardrobe staple for my boys! It’s a fairly quick sew, but the placket adds enough detail to be special! The placket construction is different from others that I’ve seen, and I love how it lays, and that it’s not as thick as others can be. I will be making more!

A lovely t shirt, great for a beginner. I had never done a placket before but I still managed to complete it. Noted too not snip too much at the bottom of the placket cut line. I put snaps on mine rather than buttons so the girls find it easier to open to get on themselves. Overall a great unisex pattern!!
Deb Sendelbach –
Great classic shirt. The pattern is very true to size which makes fitting so easy.

Fantastic pattern to make a lovely top – (NOT JUST FOR BOYS!) placket part can be a bit tricky, but just take your time and it will work out. I will be making many more of these

Detailed instructions will help get you through the placket construction. My son looks darling in his new top!

A fun and different model for the smaller kids. The placket is a little bit tricky and the fabric tears easily if you don’t use interfacing. But the placket is also needed to get the shirt on, and when you’re done, the final product is nice to look at.

I made this shirt for my son and he absolutely loved it!

I’ve never sewn a placket before and found it tricky but all in all it’s a lovely sew and looks fab on my boy.
Kim Wester –
This was my first placket using knit, and it was trickier than I expected, but then suddenly, it was done and beautiful! I had to use lots of tricks (parchment paper, walking foot, hem tape), so I consider this an intermediate pattern, but it could just be that my fabric was finicky. I am very proud of this shirt and thank RP once again for stretching my skills and teaching me new methods.

Quick sew once you get past the placket. I used stripes and it turned out darling- my son will look so handsome in his new shirt!
Lisa Giorcelli –
This great kids shirt has an awesome professional look with the button placket feature but is still a really simple quick sew. I will definitely be making more.

Used DBP , easy sew, first time doing a placket , takes practice for sure but I loved doing it and was happy with my finished top

I loved the design of the Henley so much, that I couldn’t resist sewing one up for both my husband and son. It was a easy sew and so comfortable to wear that hubby has requested 2 more! Great pattern!
Laura Walker –
What a great pattern! The packet detail takes an ordinary t-shirt to the next level. I foresee many more in my son’s future!
Ummul Masakin –
I love how this pattern can fit boy and girl!
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
A stylish model thanks to the placket. The placket does take some time to make, and I would recommend to test it once on a cheaper fabric, as it can be a little tricky. It’s also recommendable to use a thinner fabric for the placket, as there will be several layers to sew through. But the finished product is worth the work!

I made a few henley shirt from other pattern before. This placket construction is a bit different but quite easy to follow. The rest fit is pretty good. But i love if the length a tad longer
Amber Flanary –
My sewing machine and fabric had a fight on the snap-placket but other than that, the shirt came out great!
Jennifer Jane –
This pattern produced a really nice, well fitting garment for my son. The placket is a bit tricky but really good when it comes together but might be a bit overwhelming for a beginner so I’d recommend this as advance beginner/intermediate. My son loves it!
