- Both 4-way stretch and 2-way stretch fabrics will work. For 2-way stretch fabrics, take care to place the pattern pieces as indicated for the grainlines so that the stretch runs at right angles to the grainline.
- Your fabric will need to have at least 40% stretch to get the fit as it's designed.
- The stretch recovery of your fabric is just as important as the stretch percentage. This will ensure your underwear maintains its shape and fit for as long as possible and not become baggy.
- Elastic OPTIONS ⅜ inch wide - approximately 2.2 yards will be sufficient for all sizes:
- Picot Elastic
- OR Encased Elastic - use Knitted or Lingerie Elastic
- OR Fold Over Elastic
- OPTIONAL Decorative bow - 1x small lingerie satin bow

Love this pattern. Been looking for one that’s fits well for ages. Really pleased with them
Kelly Tuttle –
This pattern just comes together so quickly, and the panties are super cute. Great for using up scraps too, and it has several options. Love it!
Rachelle Crosbie –
Easy pattern to sew and nice and comfy on. I made mine in merino for winter.
Shelby Chubb –
I’m so crazy proud to have made my own underwear! Not sure why I was so intimidated by it before, but this pattern made it so EASY. And super fast! Usually when patterns say they’re a quick sew, I’m skeptical because it always seems to take me longer than anticipated. Not this sew, it really truly only takes an hour or so, start to finish! Great way to use up scraps too – I didn’t purchase anything to make my first pair.
Adelle Pears –
Who doesn’t love a cheeky pair of undies?! As always instructions are fabulous and the pattern comes together perfectly. They’re really comfy too!
Diane Cullum –
Quick, easy, and comfortable! They turned out so pretty! Options for height too. These are mid rise, bland I will make the low rise next. I had to adjust the gusset as it was too wide, but that’s not difficult.
Jasmine Chandler –
This was a very easy sew and perfect for scrap busting as well. I plan to make more.
Deb Holland –
This pattern was a dream to see, I will be making more
Nali Nali –
I made the mid-rise cheeky underwear from knit remnants. It was such a fun and quick sew. There are so many options and combination to choose – I used picot for the thigh band and self-fabric for the waist band. The fit is comfortable and I will definitely make more of them.
Angel N Jordan –
Super easy pattern to sew. The curvy pattern is chef’s kiss. As someone whose waist measurement is 11 inches smaller than my hips, the curvy panty fits my waist and hips perfectly.
Paula Sloan –
OMG l love this pattern making underwear , easy to do and there no more buying shop underwear when you can use this pattern the make your own . 5 stars 😊
Eline Ghesquiere –
As always, perfectly clear instructions. Just as with the basic underwear, I’m not over the moon about the baggy cut, but the construction method is just perfect!
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
A super fast pattern that reminds you of how easy it is to make your own underwear! Just remember to pick a ribb that has a good elastic recovery and as it is so easy to sew, be a little observant that you put the pieces together in the right order.
Sarah Hopkins –
I love this pattern for a few reasons. Firstly I really needed some new underwear and I find this style very comfortable. It’s also great for using up fabric scraps. Finally, although it’s a relatively straightforward pattern I found handling the elastic a new skill to learn, by the end of the second pair I had got the hang of it. I can see myself making many more of these!
Sarah Liz Malcolm –
I love the Cheeky Undies. Enough coverage where it counts but a lovely rear cheeky look. You get the best of both worlds with this pattern. I like low rise but you can choose from a low, mid or high rise, and there are multiple finish options.
Deb Hobson –
If you’re looking for an easy pattern for undies, this is it! With a choice of three rises and a cheeky cut, these panties take the ordinary to the extraordinary! Comfort and style all in one pattern.
Daisy Buitrago –
These are a nice set of generous cut undies. The crotch is a bit wider on these than many other patterns, so these are great if youve needed extra coverage.
Nadine Humblet –
There are so many options! I can’t wait to sew more underwear… I really love all possibilities. And it’s a very Quick sew! Another great pattern.
Tammy Foster –
I made this pattern in rayon spandex so I could leave off the elastic and have “no-show” underwear. The pattern was easy to understand and simple to sew, but I’d recommend a less slinky fabric.
Mallory Holy –
Such a quick and easy make. I made the low rise with bands and gusset and I don’t think I can go back to store bought. They are so comfortable. I was making a high rise with fold over elastic as well but struggled with the elastic. I will go back to those but I really like the band option.
Yolanda Woodland –
This Pattern is a very easy sew and a great scrap buster. The fit is lovely! I made the high and low rise will be making the mid rise.
Kathleen Conger –
These undies are easy to make, like other RP basics undies.
