Options –  The modifications section at the back of the pattern with over 30 modification suggestions and ideas  for how you can turn your basic cape into nearly any creature!

NOTE – There are photos in the pattern of modification options but the tutorial and pattern is only for a feathered cape.

Fabrics The most suitable fabric for this cape is non-stretch wovens. The edges of the feathers are unfinished so they are best suited to a fabric that doesn’t fray, such as felt. However you can use whatever you like for the decorative elements, such as leather, vinyl, or fur. A serger/overlocker is optional but  NOT required.

Format This trim-free pattern is a downloadable PDF and comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want.

Easy and have millions of possibility! You can do everything with it! Every sewer needs it!! 🙂

I loved seeing it transform from ordinary to extraordinary as the details were added. There is no limit to what you can create with it.

  4. Pam Allen (verified owner)

The sky is the limit. This pattern is the solid bones of a great creative garment. I love the creativity it allowed. The wing dimensions were wide enough to allow for full “wings” but don’t overwhelm my child. The hood is loose enough that it is comfortable to pull on and off.

  5. Carly Crocos (verified owner)

This pattern has endless options, you are only limited by your imagination! The colouring pages give children a terrific sense of creation right from the start of the process, they can have as little or as much input into the design as they like.

  6. Nadine Simard (verified owner)

I love the versatility of the pattern.

  7. Monica Gilbert (verified owner)

Buy it! It’s so much fun! It comes with a great starting idea, and there is so much you can do to make it your own. You’re only limited by your imagination.

  8. Megan Lafreniere (verified owner)

The pattern is amazing all on its own but also has the ability to get super creative. Fantastic for Halloween coming up.

This pattern is the most versatile and easy to follow, and offers a stunning finished product! It can be created in the most simple of ways or fancied up to the nines for a production…. it is an absolute must-have for creative minds!

It seems like a lot of work but it comes together surprisingly quickly! And looks so fantastic at the end!

It’s a great stand alone pattern but it also gives you the base and then you can take it wherever you’re imagination leads you.
