Main Fabric - This swimsuit has been designed for 4-way stretch swim fabrics with a stretch of 40-50%.
- Typically similar to swim fabrics.
- Good example is halenka lining as its soft and stretchy, however can be transparent.
OPTIONAL Power Mesh
- You can also add 4-way stretch power mesh to the centre front and side panels for extra support.
- Or add the optional Bust Support Panel using power mesh. (XXS-5XL)
Browse suitable fabrics here:
- 3/8-inch wide Cotton swimwear elastic - approximately 3 yards will be sufficient for all sizes. (XXS-5XL)
- 3/8-inch wide Cotton swimwear elastic - approximately 1.5 yards will be sufficient for all sizes. (Children's 12mo-12yrs)
- Elastic recommended is one with a cotton/rubber blend as it will last longer with chlorine exposure.
- OPTIONAL Bust Support Panel - can use a wider elastic at the hem. (XXS-5XL)
- Do not use clear elastic - it is not strong enough. (XXS-5XL)
- Clear elastic can be used in the seams. (Children's 12mo-12yrs)
- Thread to match - polyester is best as it stretches
- Sewing machine
- Optional twin needle
- Pins or clips
- Tape measure or ruler
- Tailor's chalk/fabric pen
