FAQs

How do PDF/ digital patterns work? Simply download, print, and sew. You’ll need a free Adobe Acrobat reader program and any home printer (or a nearby copy shop for A0 printing). Once you’ve printed the pieces, tape or glue them together. You’ll find an easy-to-follow how-to guide inside the pattern instructions, plus support in our Facebook group.

The trim-free pattern comes in A4 or US letter printable sizes and includes full pattern pieces and a detailed tutorial to guide you every step of the way. An A0 format (pattern pieces only) is also included should you wish to have your pattern printed professionally. PDF Layers allow you to select and print only the size/s you want/ need.

When will I get my patterns? You’ll receive a link to download your patterns immediately after purchase. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam/ junk folder. You can also find your patterns in your ‘My Account’ area..

What if I need help while sewing? Join our Facebook group and ask any and all the questions you have! We have a team of admins who know our patterns inside-out and are here to help at any point throughout your RP sewing experience.     I do love the finished bag. I made the small and I’ve found it is a lovely size for a beach or picnic bag. I used Peltex stabiliser for the body and foam for the handles. This combination gave great structure, but it probably added to the difficulty I had with the binding. The instructions were easy to follow. I would recommend this pattern to someone who has had some sewing or bag making experience.

    There are some tricky bits along the way with this pattern but the end result is worth the extra effort. As with all RP patterns, there are step by step instructions with photos to help you with the whole thing, including the tricky bits.

    Like the vintage suitcase but if i was not an experience seamstress i would have trouble. It is simple the make but with the thickness and curves some may find it a bit hard to control the movement of fabric. Overall I love my suitcase

    Making the felt doll, hairs and clothes was a mindful way to spend a Sunday. The pattern is easy to work with. I used as many bright colours as i could from a stack of felt I’d bought 2 years ago. I never knew what to make with the felt until now. Absolutely fantastic way to use up and smaller pieces of felt you have. There’s plenty of options for clothes. I’m in love with the way the hair slides onto the top of the head. Highly recommended this pattern.

    This was such a fun activity for me and my preschooler. She had a lot of fun choosing the colors of the felt for the hair and clothes. She can’t wait to play with it. As a sewing project, it was pretty simple. I used small-sized scraps of interfacing from other projects so it was a perfect way to use up those small pieces. The felt is more forgiving than other fabrics in my opinion so creating the finer detail of the clothing times is easier than one might think. I will definitely will make more for my daughter’s friends.

    I found the Felt Dolls to be a Fairly easy pattern to follow, the directions were clear, patterns were marked and easy to read. I had a slight issue with my felt (user error) which was easily corrected. My grandchildren and I love the variety of hairstyles and clothes that were included in the pattern. We have plans to continue making more dolls and clothes as soon as the new patterned felt arrives. This play set can be used for girls and boys add a sword or a pirate hat, a coat of armor maybe even a prince and princess. This pattern is a keeper and will supply many hours of fun and imaginative play for children and their adult counterparts such as grandma, grandpa, dad, mom even brothers & sisters. The more the merrier. Fun Awaits a Creative Mind.

    The hair design for these dolls is fabulous!! The dolls are easy to sew and can be made with scraps of fabrics on the felt so they match something the child wears, which is fun. One base doll can be a boy with one set of clothing and a girl with another. I did find it worked better if I put some KK2000 on the back of my pattern and then sewed around it and then cut it out. Tracing it did not work great. My silhouette did not like the felt so much either. I spray basted the fabric onto the felt and the pattern on to the top of the fabric. Sewed around it and then removed the pattern and put in the details with my sewing machine. I loved that I could use all different patters/etc and then would have it hidden by the back felt. The velcro holds everything on nicely too. In some spots, there was a bit too much detail and it made cutting things out nicely a bit more difficult.
