“I opted to make the hooded version and added 7 inches before the side slits. Love the way the neckband hugs your neck (so cosy) and the hood is lovely and big. The sleeves are spectacular and the overall effect is stylish, easy to sew and wear – a truly satisfying sew!”

This pattern was love at first sew for me! I sewed it up with the optional hood and the hood is amazing! I will be using the hood to hack some of my other Rebecca Page Patterns that don’t have hoods. The fit is amazing on this pattern and it makes such a beautiful cardigan! I made mine in double brushed poly and it is so comfy and warm. If you are on the fence about this one you should pick it up because it is an amazing pattern and it has pockets! I would rate this one as an advanced beginner because of the hood construction but a beginner could easily tackle it without the hood or by taking the hood nice and slow. Give it a try!

WOW!! What a quick and effortless sew for such a gorgeous finished product!
I love the bubble sleeves, they add a bit of volume and a pretty twist to a classic cardi. And the band finish up the sides and round the neck is so simple and a lovely finish!
I see many more of these in my future!

Need a wardrobe staple that is quite to make, but unique enough to be a statement? The bubble sleeve cardi has you covered! Only a few pieces, with the option to add some details to the sleeves, and you can make a cozy, fun, unique piece to wear with casual or dressy!
Deb Sendelbach –
If you love fun, full sleeves you’ll love this cardigan. And who doesn’t love a cardigan with side pockets! It also has additional fun details to add including a hood and bobbles on the sleeve. As always the instructions are very detailed with lots of great helpful hints.

“I simply love these stunning statement sleeves in the Bubble Cardigan. They drape so nicely and I cannot wait to add the baubles to the sleeves! Everything fits perfectly – the pocket even my GIANT phone!
I am certainly going to be making more of this one and I think I will add patch pockets on my next one for a bit of variety. My daughter has already put in a request for me to make her one too!”
Adelle Pears –
I see a lot of these in my future. It comes together really quickly and easily. I don’t usually like hoods to be honest but I added it and I love it! It sits really nicely because of the band and it’s a perfect size.
Nicki Hibbits –
Pockets, side slits, and cuffs oh my! The Bubble Sleeve Cardi is a great pattern for beginners to try different garment elements. Just follow the pattern directions, embrace the process, and celebrate the results! (There is even a hoodie option.)
Carmen Brent –
This is my new favorite cardigan! It can be dressed up or down and is tremendously comfortable. The bubble sleeves give it an extra touch to make it unique from other basic cardigans. I also love that it has pockets! I will definitely be making more of these as a staple for my work wardrobe.

I love, love, love this pattern. I know I’ll be making more of these. The only part I struggled with was the burrito roll for the hood. I pinned and unpinned several times before it made sense. Then I basted it on just in case I had made a mistake. 🙂 Not sure you could improve the pattern to help with this. I think it was just me. I’ve been wearing it almost every day since I finished. 🙂 One of my daughters has already asked for one for herself. Always a good sign.

A fast and simple sew with nice details. Just beware of that this pattern needs more fabric than you would anticipate at first glance, so be sure to check the needed amount before buying fabric. With a nice knit it’s a perfect cardi to wrap around on a cold day.
Nadine Humblet –
The pattern is very efficient and explanations are very good! Attention! Choose a fabric not too thick otherwise, the gathered sleeves can become an hell to sew!
Mireille Ribiere –
Why wasn’t this much sooner it is so easy to follow and the fit is great
Frances Black –
Loved every minute of making this pattern. Really easy to make and the results are stunning. I’m a fan of bubble sleeves on any top so when I saw this I knew I had to make it. It drapes beautifully and is flattering to all shapes. The pattern and instructions are easy to follow. I used a viscose knit making mine because I wanted the fabric to drape well. If you are considering getting this pattern do it! you won’t regret it!
Luana Furlanetto –
It’s a pretty easy sew, with a lot of options that give a lot of alternative looks!
Janet Cox –
A quick and easy sew! I used a heavier weight fabric, and ended up with a cosy cardigan that I’ve been wearing indoors and out in the snow! The wide sleeves fit nicely over the bell sleeves of my favourite dress, and it has pockets! I’m definitely going to make more of these.
June Butchee –
The Bubble Sleeve Cardigan is very on-trend with its feminine, puffy sleeves, side-slits and overall oversized feel. It is a joy to make and to wear.
LeighAnn McDermott –
What a great Cardi! I will definitely be making more!
Mary Acosta –
it is a good sew but feel some beginners can find it confussing in heming area. i think mine would have been better if used a better thicker fabric
Sandy Simpson –
This is a cardigan that crosses all seasons. Depending on your fabric choice, you can wear it with jeans during the day then pop it on with elegant pants and heels for an evening out. The sleeves are everything – so feminine and drapey.
Rebekah Homer –
Big full sleeves, optional bubbles, did a hood inset from the collar! I don’t know where to begin and end a list of my favorite things. I love the different design elements, all the way from the deep hem (finished so beautifully) to the top of the optional hood (finished with a wide band). The pattern came together easily, though with some time. I used cute crocheted flowers instead of pom poms or bobbles so my machine made attaching it a breeze. Instructions are easy to follow and create some really beautiful and neat finishes.
Deb Hobson –
Easy sew, love the puffy sleeves that are right on fashion point.
TaWanna Archia –
This was an easy sew!
