I had so much fun creating the pieces to put this unicorn blanket together. It definately puts you in a glitter and sparkle frame of mind.

this pattern is really easy to make and fun to customise to your own design. you can do the mane and tail in wool or ribbon which ever you prefer and also use the fabrics that you wish to use. it went really well together and is quite versitile

Loved this sew. The directions are really straightforward. I made mine with sequins so i left the face details off but the directions walk you through every step of the way. Love how customized you can make it. Perfect stash buster project.

A lovely handsew project. I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning, but as soon as I understood how the pattern came together, it all fell into place. I’m so in love with my little dragon, it’s almost a shame that I have to give it away. My girls are now asking for a unicorn, so that will be next on my project list. 🙂

Really fun pattern! Lots of skills to learn and practice, and I ended up with a cozy blanket my son adores!

This was a fun project to do with my son. He help me filling the wings, ears and spike. He was an happy camper with his new blanket.

I was so excited to make up these blankets. They were so much fun! I made a dinosaur for my youngest and a dragon for my eldest out of some inexpensive blankets from a department store. They are so cute, comfortable and super warm. Such a creative process, with the design page available to plan out your blanket. A really great pattern.

A fun pattern that the kids have been waiting me to finish so they can use them! The pattern pieces are easy to cut and sew, and for the smaller pieces you can use up your scraps. Using a two sided interfacing makes attaching the eyes etc a lot more easy!
The blanket pieces need more fabric than you may think, so I’d recommend reading through the tutorial before buying your fabric. The blanket will take a while to make, but its so fun to see it when it’s done!

This blanket was fun and easy to make, although it can be time consuming. My son told me “It’s the best blanket I’ve ever had, Mom!”

This blanket is adorable! Tackle this project over a long weekend and with a touch of patience. The Mermaid Blanket is straight forward, but there are a lot of pieces. It uses a fair amount of fabric if you want everything to match, or it can be a good way to use lots of scraps from different projects. My LO has not stopped swimming around the floor since it came off my machine.
LO’s Review: It’s just like a real mermaid’s tail!

It’s what your little one always wanted — to be a mermaid while relaxing on the couch! Such a cute pattern and easily customizable. And if you want one for yourself too, there are adult sizes as well. I know I always wanted to be a mermaid.
Agnes Bobak –
I loved this pattern. It is an easy and quick sew (time can be funny according to the scale type you use :)).
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
You should reserve some time for making this, but it’s so worth it! I love the outcome, and so does my little princess! This one is also a perfect scrapeater when it comes to the scales, so if you aren’t afraid of combining a little bit different materials, you just might find a lot of what you need at home.

“What a labour of love that was but wow the result was totally worth it. If I made it again (my 8 yo is begging for one too) I would use a different main body fabric as some of the lame I used frayed so much with all the handling. I made the option with the scales and whilst they do take a long time, the result is quite stunning.
I was initially concerned that this would be a lot of work for something that may be grown out of quickly but my 2 1/2 year old who is very tall will be fitting in this for a good long while as the sizes are very generous.”
