This was a quick easy sew. Fits like a glove!
Becky Jones –
I really love this pattern, I will be making more. Once I truly understood how to turn the tank, it was a very easy pattern. I also found it easy to modify to my funky size and shape (I am shaped like a linebacker: wide shoulders, larger bust, narrowing to my waist with no hips). It was nearly a perfect fit the first time, VERY comfortable, and I look forward to stocking up on each variation of the pattern. All in all, it only took me 2 days to make it – this included printing the pattern, taping it together, modifying for my oddities, and sewing together. I can’t wait until the weather warms up, the option I sewed is going to be perfect for my gardening. I will need one for each day of the week!
Donna Jones –
I love love love this pattern! I sewed in a small with power mesh and I feel well supported and confident. I have a slight issue, in that if it is an add-on it really should be named the same as the original pattern “”bralette tank top add-on””.
Overall I loved this version, how it fits, how easy it is, and will be making more!
Roeshell Arjin McNelis –
I find this to be a very comfortable bralette! It is not normally something i would have chosen but I am glad gave it a try. I fully intend to make many more of these in both the tank and crop version.
Vicky Hughes –
Loved making this! There are so many options its hard to choose which to make first. Clear & easy to follow instructions and a brilliant finished garment.
Amanda Schildmeier –
I made view E and H so far and am planning on at least a few more! These are really fun to make and add some variety to my exercise wardrobe without breaking the bank!
Katerina Bauman –
Add some flare to your workout tank with this pattern! There are so many fun options to choose from! I found the pattern very simple to sew while also producing a professional-looking top.
Katherine Henderson –
It kind of took me forever to get this pattern right, but it turned out so beautiful when it did!
Julie Educate-Espinosa –
I love this sew! It turned out so cute. I learned so much doing this sew. You learn the burrito method. And how to make cute straps. I added a cute embroidery to the skirt. This is a must sew.
Amy Kosandiak –

Emma Bertilsson –
This is an nice pattern for doing small but markable changes on a nice bralette.
Jose Vernooy Winkel –
“I love all the different options on this bralette, it makes a really cool Summer top but as I did also totally works as a workout top! Came together quite easily, just have both pattern descriptions ready and you’ll be the proud owner of one of these in no time! It worked great for my training!
“
Adelle Pears –
This pattern is brilliant, it’s super comfortable and practical and looks great. There are so many options to mix and match making it incredibly versatile. This is my most used pattern to date already!
Lynda Tomalin –
A great fun pattern. I loved all the options and it was hard to choose. I went with option G, the vertical twist and I love the visual interest. The fit is perfect. I used a premium sports fabric for the outer and the lining and the support is great. I could happily do yoga or other low impact exercise without a bra. Great pattern and would definitely make again!
Leanne Molini –
I enjoy making this bralette, making option f gave a beautiful look to the back. It fitted very well across the bust.
Shona Young –
Using the Advanced option is a great way for beginners to advance some skills a little. I have been sewing for a few months and found the straps and completing a Full Bust Adjustment a little challenging but achievable. I’m happy to have learnt new skills that will come in handy with future makes. I’m even happier that I have a cute bralette that is comfortable and looks great.
Genevieve Lynne Grossmann –
This is a fantastic pattern. It is fun to make, can be made using up scraps and has a brilliant result. I cannot wait to try all the other views. I made view I. I see loads of these in my future.
Angel Pooley –
Loved this pattern, I sewed view G but there are so many possibilities with the pattern is so impressive. Even though I lost an argument with my overlocker half way through, it was pretty easy to carry on and make it look neat with the lining. Thanks RP
Hughes Papaleo Tomorrow –
So many stylish options to choose from you can make so many of these with each one different! A truly versatile pattern that comes together nicely and quickly.
Tasha –
Lots of options to jazz up a bralette. Construction can be a bit tricky but worth it!
Yulia Shikhova Korinnyi –
Very flattering pattern and is great in scuba type fabric. It was a labor of love but so totally worth it. It is also very versatile front active wear to casual to more dress up version, it’s a true statement piece.
Fran Tilden –
This is a great pattern with lots of options and comes with detailed instructions, both written and photos. The bralette is very comfortable to wear.
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
So many options!! If you’re looking for a great way to increase your stash (or your child’s stash) of summer tanks & bras, this pattern is it. It has nine strap options that are different than the original racerback. And it’s so versatile. Need a new swim top? A workout top? A top for wearing around the house when it’s super-hot out? Another bra to wear with your comfy t-shirts? This is all of that and more.
Kelle Lujan –
We started by sewing my daughter’s favorite, the twist top strap, and it turned out so adorable. It’s amazing the range of options included in the pattern and the size range works for all the girls in the house. Pattern went together easily and it’s a quick print without too many pages. Can’t wait to try all these variations!
Geraldine Tan –
The add on is easy to sew. I chose option A. It was the original bralette pattern that i have some issue with, that needed help from the community. It would probably be an intermediate level for me. I am glad to have finally overcome it!:)
Maja –
Nice pattern with lots of options. I chose gathered skirt and 3 horizontal straps on back, which resulted in looking great and feeling awesome maternity sew. I will proudly wear this till the day D, and absolutely even later 🙂 And one more thing … I will definitely sew other options, because this pattern gives so much different looks but it is easy to sew and comfy to wear.
Lore Hill –
Very cute design. My band was a little big. I went by the measurements not the piece.
Michelle Mason –
I love the different options of this pattern and that it can be made in a crop top as well as a tank, i made the pleated tank top with twist back and it is would be fabulous for the summer
Nadine Simard –
Love add on pattern, lot of options to create fun bralette/tank for the summer.
Jennifer Means –
I’m obsessed with this pattern. I’m going to make 200 more! It’s the most flattering tank I own and I can’t wait to try every back option. Perfect pattern for summer!!
Rachel Loper –
Totally surprised at how much I love this! I made the gathered tank option and with the Option C back and they were both perfect choices for my body type. I’m confident that everyone can find an combination of options that works for them.
Angela Kypreos –
The advanced bralette is a relatively quick sew with a nice outcome. I made mine with some funky animal faux stretch as a fashion bralette to wear under summer tops and dresses. There are lots of options and a great addition to the underwear draw.
Nadia Cadby –
Another RP winner, as I was making it I wasn’t sure that I’d like it but, when I tried it on, I loved it and will be making lots more. A great top for wearing over a sports bra and working out, also really comfortable and easy to wear when gardening. I used a 2 way stretch and clear elastic.
Becky Gant Burns –
“I like this pattern….with one exception. Option C is not a beginner sew. I don’t know if the strap placement is the problem, but it’s extremely difficult and awkward to get the straps to cooperate during the sausage roll. I redid it 3 times and I still wound up with crooked seams and a twisted lining.
The other two I did went together very well and a pleasure to sew.”
Connie Lusto –
This might be my most favorite item I’ve ever sewn for myself! So many options, and so many combinations! It’s incredibly comfortable, the fit is spot on, and I especially love that the top is fully lined. It offers great support and it looks neat and finished, even without a serger. I already have my next one cut!
Amy Joy McDonnell –
The Children’s Advanced Bralette is going to be a summer staple! So many strap options and choice of pleated skirt, gathered tank or crop. We made crop with option I and my daughter (who doesn’t need much support) wears it as a sport bra and to sleep on warm nights. She loves how comfortable it is!
Tania Vervaeke –
First time making a bralette, and with these nice instructions, it all went together very easy. Nice pattern, good instructions, will make more for sure.
Tania Vervaeke –
What a nice and cute pattern. Now my girl can twin with me, even with a bralette.
Both pattern and instructions are very good. My girl is happy and so am I.
Chiara Kruse –
Nine new back options to build your tank/crop top wardrobe. Three C
creative backs that work with a standard bra straps, 3 that work with racetrack straps, and 3 more options.
Deborah Kraft –
This was a really nice sew and it fits really well. I love the many options you have with this pattern and the many ideas how to finish it. I made a tank top version with crossed shoulder straps and the pleated skirt. I especially loved the lined top, that has no visible stitching from the outside which gives it a really nice look. The pattern also works for combining different fabrics or color blocking. I have a lot more ideas for other versions of this in my head!
Geraldine Tan –
Easy sew except the squeezing of cloth during the flip may be little challenging.
Jenni Elizabeth Early –
I want to make so many of these! I made a bra and two different kinds of tanks from the original pattern, and I have tried two advanced options for the children’s version and one for me (so far!) I wear tank tops all the time in the summer, and this one has so many options. Since I am less “endowed,” I use a supportive lining and am able to wear these without a bra. Really great instructions, and you are getting so much from this one pattern 🙂
Julie Educate –
I did version e. It racked my brain on how to do it properly. Once you get it, it makes sense. I highly recommend it for the kiddos in your life.
Renee Hardimon –
This is such a great and versatile pattern. At first, it took me a minute to figure out which pieces were needed since it was an add-on but reading through the pattern first explained explicitly which pieces I needed from the original and which ones were needed from the add-on. Overall, it was a well drafted and easy pattern. I definitely plan on making more!
Luana Furlanetto –
I made this bralette with a performance knit and I paired it with the leggings. It’s such a perfect workout outfit. It’s a pretty quick make, and I’m thinking about making some for see through tops.

Julie McBrien –
This is a great addition to the bralette pattern and gives so many options for making fun tops for every day wear and active wear.
Carmen Brent –
I love a unique and interesting back on a workout top or sports bra. The advanced bralette is loaded with options that look fantastic. Being able to choose whether to leave this sew as a banded or elastic bra, pleated top, or gathered top is also a bonus!
Amy Joy McDonnell –
This bralette has 9 back options and 3 length options! Perfect for summer!
Tiina Norrkniivilä –
An easy pattern for a nice looking bralette! It doesn’t require much fabric and you can use up scraps in the details. The add-ons offer loads of different options and the finished product was loved by our 5-year-old.
Alexandria Phillip –
I loved the original bralette pattern and this add on makes it even more awesome! There are so many options in one pattern there’s definitely something for everyone! This is definitely a must have for your wardrobe collection.
Lore Hill –
I love the options of the sports bra. My daughter is an athlete and this pattern will give her lots of different bras to wear. Having lots of options is a plus.
Aune Wood –
I have now made myself a new favourite garment! The fact that there is so many options for the back is funny, and allows you to sew quite a few without getting everything looks the same. The fit is perfect and the pattern is challenging but not too difficult. I like the lined bodice!
