Don’t you just love spring? I know I do! After a long and cold winter of wearing mostly sweater capes, I’m ready to start wearing my favorite spring dresses with happy floral patterns and bright colors! 

To share my spring excitement with you, I put together a guide of the brightest spring fabrics that we have on our site, in the most popular colors for Spring and Summer 2021.

Raspberry Sorbet/Boysenberry

I’ve been drooling over this Boysenberry Microfiber Jersey Fabric since the first time I saw it! You could make pretty much anything out of this Microfiber Jersey fabric and it would cause jaws to drop! Try a Cocoon Knot Dress or T-Shirt Dress for a bold hued beauty.

The rich berry color pairs well with classic colors like navy, black, white, grey but also a bold purple orchid color for some extra fun! 

Illuminating Yellow

I love love love yellow!  If you were to look through my wardrobe you’d know how much I love yellow! There is no such thing as too much yellow because it just makes me feel so happy.

Pirouette Pink

Pastel pink is the essential spring color. When I think about spring, I picture lovely pink Cherry Blossom trees, yellow daffodils, and green grass. Wearing pastel pink makes me feel like I am part of the excitement of spring.

French Blue

Blue tones look lovely on everyone and give off so many calming qualities, so it is no surprise that French blue is slated to be one of the popular colors this spring and summer. 

One of my favorite sewing patterns for spring is the Carli Coatigan. It’s warm and comfortable and that perfect mix between a coat and a cardigan that works wonderfully for spring weather. Make the pattern in a Blue Liverpool Solid Fabric and you have the perfect spring top layer!

Mint Green

Rust

I have plans to turn our Rust Crinkle Chambray into a beautiful pair of Vintage Trousers that I can wear in spring and all year round. Chambray is a dream to sew and the Vintage Trousers are an easy sew if you are new to making trousers. 

Rust is such a lovely tone that I often forget about! It is a warm and inviting take on brown that can easily be paired with so many other colors! Pair it with any of the fabrics or colors I listed above for a lovely and surprising compliment.
