We originally designed this tutorial to show how to do an instep adjustment with the Rain Boot Liner pattern, however you can use this with nearly any sock or bootie sewing pattern.
The instep is the part that goes over the top of your foot. If you are sewing socks or booties and it feels snug or tight along the top of your foot, that’s a good indication that you have a high instep need to adjust the pattern piece.
