Get tutorial inside our free membershipYou will need to lengthen/shorten half way through the armhole and at the waist on your front and back bodice. You will distribute the adjustment throughout the pattern piece, not just at one point. This is to ensure the height is distributed evenly which will give you the most accurate fit. This tutorial will help you do this.
We originally designed this tutorial to show how to do a sewing height adjustment tutorial with the Madison Blouse sewing pattern, however you can use this with nearly any pattern to adjust the sleeve length or bodice length.
Our patterns are designed for a height of 5 foot 6. If your height is above/below this, you will need to adjust the bodice and sleeve to get the perfect fit. Follow this tutorial for woven or knit pattern.
