Felt Flower Tutorial & Free Pattern

Fire up your glue guns! I have a fun and quick tutorial for you today on how to make these cute felt flowers and all you need is a glue gun and some felt sheets. They are great for headbands or decorating other projects.

Then print and cut out your pattern. There are two size flowers. The large flower makes a 3.5″ flower, while the small flower makes a 2″ flower.

Cut out one of your circle bases for each flower you want to create and six of your flower pattern. Cut as many leaves as you would like for your flower.

Add some glue to the middle of your flower and press in half.

Add some glue to the center of the flower and fold in half again.

Your flower petal will now be folded in quarters. Repeat for the other five petals.

Add glue to your circular base and place four of the petals down on the base, with points meeting in the center.

The bottom will look like this.

Add glue to the center of your flower and place the other two petals in the center.

If you are adding leaves, you can glue it to the bottom of your base and you are done! You can simply glue them onto your project, or if you are making a thinner headband, you can cut another circular base and sandwich the band between the bases.
